Chapter 42: Arrival (2)
Chapter 42: Arrival (2)
As I followed the group ahead of me, I kept my eyes searching for possible escape routes if anything were to go wrong. I did not use Ki or mana as they might find it as a threat, so I was left with my natural ability.
We were currently walking through the hall that I teleported into, I noticed that there weren't any windows and the walls were pure white with knights standing on both sides.
I couldn't even hear them breathing, although I was about 50 feet away from them, I still should be able to pick up their breathes.
Footsteps were all that I heard, we were walking on a white floor, but I couldn't tell what material it was. Overall, the hall was quite simple in design, however those crystal chandeliers above our heads were another story.
Not only were they massive in size, but the amount of mana they were giving off was just insane. It meant there were multiple arrays inside of those crystals, if a human scientist were to see that they'd shit their pants.
I heard the sound of a door opening and soon enough we had finally made it outside of the hall.
I wasted no time to look around yet was stunned to see how simplistic the campuses design was. It was actually quite similar to the VIA headquarters, sidewalks were connected to every building yet 4 buildings looked to be the same. Although all 4 buildings were separated from each other equally, these 4 buildings were what I assumed to be the dorms.
However, the building we had just left was fucking humorous in size. It was like a castle on steroids, I truly have never seen anything in my life that was this fucking big.
After arriving at our dorm our guide had moved to the side of the group making me finally able to see her.
The woman had blue skin with two horns that shined the same color as the teleportation horns did. Her eyes matched her horns in the same crystal texture but was the color was red. Her hair however matched her eye color with it being quite long.
She seemed to be the same height as me, which might have hurt my ego a little.
"Okay everyone, just head inside and do what I have asked of you before. I hope all of you enjoy these two weeks before classes begin. Goodbye now." Our guide said as she started to walk past us. I guessed she was heading back to the main building and I did not dare to look back at her once.
Our group had started to enter the building and finally words of conversation could be heard, it seemed that I was the only one feeling dread as everyone else seemed to be excited.
"Oh my god did you see how beautiful she was? I've never heard of a race having those traits I wonder what they're called." Said a girl who somewhere in front of me.
"Calvin did you see those knights? They were terrifying to look at man, I thought they were gonna kill all of us." Said a man who was almost somewhere in front of me, although his words made me want to kill him.
'Is that guy insane saying that shit out loud! Is he fucking trying to have us on their damn bad side.' I thought to myself while trying to find the bastard who said that shit.
I was very relieved though, it seemed that this wasn't a total death trap and we would actually be learning here.
I was however feeling quite good about our overall group's strength. Since I'm quite close to them I can feel most of their auras and I could tell everyone was quite strong. Although if most of them would try to take on me they would probably die.
However, there were about 10 who I didn't know If I could beat which mostly contained with the fact of how impressive their energy levels were.
'Still though there's about 30 who could definitely kill me if it came down to it and ten of those thirty people are on the level of that female Elf...' This is what truly stunned me, the Elf who shook me to my core was on the same level as 10 other humans here.
The group had started to grow smaller and smaller as each person was given the key to their rooms. After a bit of waiting, I was finally the last one left who had yet receive their room key.
There were 4 receptionists which all the same blue skin and two blue horns. Although their eye and hair colors differed, they still had those crystal looking eyes.
It had seemed the horns and skin color were a race trait; I've have never read anything about a race with those features.
"Hello sir, you must be Azrail Diggory am I correct?" The mail reception asked, I simply nodded my head since I didn't want them to hear my voice.
"Okay you will be on the tenth floor with your room number being eleven. Here are your two keys, one is a spare just in case you lose one. If you have any questions, feel free to come back and we will answer to our best ability."
I took both keys and bowed to the man, I had hoped this would be enough to show my respect.
I walked over to an elevator and went inside, I noticed there were 50 floors in this building which surprised me. I hit the button with the number 10 on it which caused the doors to close and the next second the doors opened.
I had noticed I was on a different floor considering I saw a red door with the number 1 imprinted on it in gold.
I was shocked at how fast the elevator shot up 10 floors, but I was even more shocked at how I didn't feel it moving that fast. I quickly got off the elevator and noticed that there was no one in the hallway.
I decided to simply go to my room and not waste any more time. I reached my room and put the key inside of the doorknob then turned it which opened my door.
I walked inside and then closed the door, I looked around my room to see that it was quite small and awfully simple.
It was actually quite similar to my room at my mother's house, except that there was no gym. Instead, there was a nice kitchen which meant that I had to train outside of my room.
There was a queen sized mattress which did cheer me up alongside a work desk which had a backpack on it.
There was a bathroom which even had a bathtub in it and finally in the center of it all there was a small dinner table with 4 chairs. I was quite happy with my room, although there wasn't any workout space this was more than enough.
