Chapter 70 - Hit by a Car
Chapter 70: Hit by a Car
The man in black walked towards her steadily and stared down at her.
“Moh Yanchen.” She suddenly remembered the first time she had met Moh Yanchen and the assassination attempt on him that night. She was not sure if it was a group of people behind this, but she had no way out so she decided to give it a try.
Sure enough, the man in black turned his head. She picked up a brick and smashed it on his head. While he staggered, she went forward to bite his arm. His grip loosened and the pistol fell into her hand.
“Who are you people? Why did you try to kill Uncle?” Shen Chengjing held the gun and retreated in fear. Her hands were trembling, but she forced herself to stay calm.
She pointed the gun at the man in black. Rage burned in her eyes.
“Damn woman.” The man touched the back of his head. Blood kept spurting out. He had been smart all his life, but was fooled by a woman.
“There is a path to heaven, but you don’t want to walk it. You just want to die.” He had a ruthless look in his eyes. His sharp black eyes stared at her and his voice was terrifyingly low.
His body swayed as he walked toward her. Shen Chengjing was forced to move back step by step. She held the pistol in her hand and said, “Don’t come any closer. If you do, I will shoot you.”
“Go on.” The man saw that she was powerless and was not afraid of her.
Shen Chengjing held the gun tightly and stared at him coldly. “Tell me, why did you attempt an assassination on Moh Yanchen?”
She wondered if she was being chased because of her association with Moh Yanchen. She had watched a lot of TV shows and read a number of novels. She had seen too much of this type of tropes, but it suited the current situation very well.
“He deserves to die. He killed my brother.” The man’s sharp eyes were cold. Heclenched his teeth as he spoke about him.
“Impossible. Uncle is a good man. Even if he did make a move, you guys must have been the ones who left him with no other choice.” She blurted out without thinking twice.
How could Moh Yanchen, who had always protected her, be someone so awful? This group of people had charged into the crowd and opened fire. They even killed someone just now. They were not good people.
Thinking of this, she suppressed the fear in her heart.
“Moh Yanchen’s woman is only so-so. If you have the guts then shoot.” He laughed wildly and walked towards her step by step.
Shen Chengjing kept retreating. There was a big tree behind her and no way out.
“Don’t come any closer. Otherwise, I will really shoot you.”
“Haha, I will kill you first, then go after Moh Yanchen. I will let you two go to hell before continuing to love each other. What do you think?” The man’s bloodthirsty expression was slightly cold, as if he was talking about something beautiful.
Shen Chengjing’s face was pale and her hands could not help but tremble.
“I won’t let you hurt him.” She gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and tightened her grip on the gun.
“Bang! Bang!” Two consecutive shots were fired at him. The man’s eyes widened, and he lowered his head to look at the blood continuously oozing out of his chest. His predictions were wrong. He had underestimated this woman.
“Ahhh!” She covered her ears and kept screaming. Seeing him fall, she was so scared that she continued retreating. “I killed someone… I killed someone…”
The man suddenly got up and reached out to grab her feet. She kept kicking him, struggling, and ran away with her skirt.
“Uncle… Uncle...” Her tears kept rolling out. She was scared, full of fear. She really missed Moh Yanchen.
She was afraid that she would never see him again. She ran out of the Film Studio City and towards another street. It was night, hence the street was empty.
“Vroom...” At this moment, a car was coming towards her direction.
She moved forward, trying to block the car, wanting to stop it. However, the car continued speedily, causing her to retreat.
The car was getting closer and closer. The headlights were too bright and dazzling, making it difficult for her to open her eyes. Suddenly, the lights dimmed and she opened her eyes. She could clearly see who was driving.
“It’s you?”
