Chapter 64 - In Her Embrace
Chapter 64: In Her Embrace
Moh Yanchen was like a child who had lost his favor, longing for the feeling of motherly love in her arms.
“Mom.”
Shen Chengjing lowered her head and examined the tired look on his handsome face. Her fingertips gently caressed his outline. At that moment, she realized that he did not seem as strong as he usually looked.
A person pretending to be strong to hide his own weakness.
“Pa.” At this moment, a small photo album fell from his side.
She reached out to open it and saw that it contained photos of him when he was young. Beside him was a youthful woman wearing a white cheongsam. She had a smile on her face and deep dimples on both sides of her cheeks, making her look very sweet.
“So, this is your mom?” She caressed it with her fingertips and flipped through the other photos. From when he was six years old, he had always taken his own photos. Every year, he would stand in the same place and make the same pose, but as he grew older, his smile faded more and more.
“Uncle, don’t be afraid. I will always be with you.” She lowered her head and hugged him tightly. He was not a favored son of heaven, but a person who lacked affection.
She, too, had lost her parents at a young age. She was adopted by someone else’s family and had experienced their hideous sides. She was used to hearing sarcastic words.
Now, it seemed that there was no difference between her and him!
Moh Yanchen got up the next morning. What was reflected in his eyes was Shen Chengjing’s small face. He propped himself up, only to find that she was hugging him and leaning against the sofa. She had slept with him the whole night!
“Damn it.” He was used to drinking on this day every year. Last night must have been tiring for her, right?
Looking at her haggard little face, he carried her up and walked back to her room. She was sleeping soundly and did not wake up until after he left.
Wu Hao and Mo Wen had been waiting downstairs for a long time. When they saw Moh Yanchen, they stood up respectfully.
“Brother Chen.”
“Chief.”
Moh Yanchen walked to the sofa and sat down. He stretched out his hand and furrowed his brows. “Why are you here today?”
“Brother Chen, look at the news.” Wu Hao took the Ipad and handed it over.
Moh Yanchen stretched out his hand and swiped the screen. He realized that the screen was filled with photos of Shen Chengjing and Ou Yibei. He frowned as he looked through more than ten photos.
“Think of a way to delete all of them and find out who took the photos secretly,” he said in a deep voice as he threw the Ipad aside.
Wu Hao and Mo Wen looked at each other. Finally, Mo Wen said, “Chief, if the Madam is having an ambiguous relationship with someone outside, then this matter can not be settled simply.”
“She is not that kind of person.” Moh Yanchen’s lips curled up into a smile. His tightly knitted brows relaxed.
“From my angle, I have already ruled out those possibilities.” Moh Yanchen took the Ipad and threw it in front of Mo Wen. “I suspect your skills are inadequate. Recently, there have been some circumstances in the UK. It seems you need to go there and train properly.”
Mo Wen’s expression changed slightly. He immediately stood up and said, “Chief, I have realized my mistake. I should not have suspected Madam. I will find out the source of these photos as soon as possible and see to it that Madam gets her justice.”
“Leave.”
As Wu Hao watched Mo Wen leave, he thought of another matter. “Brother Chen, Mo Yongqiang has been trying to contact the Moh Family recently. Do you want to give him some benefits?”
“So Sheng is up to something?” Moh Yanchen didn’t need to think further. He knew that this matter was related to Wang Shenghao.
“Yes.”
“Since he is in such a hurry to find us, I will prepare a big gift for him after a while.” He was not in a hurry to destroy all of them.
Hearing this, Wu Hao’s scalp tingled. It was the calm before the storm.
