Chapter 5: The true sword arts
Chapter 5: The true sword arts
Thump!
Losing support from the sword, Lin Ting collapsed onto his son.
Wuji pointed his finger and fired a red beam. The beam pierced through Lin Ting's body, damaging his profound veins and crippling him. After passing through him, it struck Lin Mo, also crippling him.
Lin Mo remained unconscious, showing no reaction.
"Arh!! My cultivation, no!!!!" Lin Ting cried out in anguish. For cultivators like them, being crippled was infinitely worse than death.
"..." Wuji ignored him and walked slowly towards the Grand Elder. Among all the people here, the three Overlord realm experts were the most likely to put up some resistance.
"Stop! What do you want to do?" the Grand Elder staggered backward, fear overtaking him. He had witnessed Wuji cripple both the sect master and the old sect master. It didn't take a genius to realize that he would be next.
"I am someone who advocates equality. Don't worry, it won't hurt," Wuji said with a seemingly harmless expression, aiming his index finger at the Grand Elder.
"Don't even think about it!" The Grand Elder gathered all his remaining strength and launched a barrage of sword energies at Wuji.
However, Wuji easily avoided the attacks by teleporting to the Grand Elder's side. He then fired a red beam, which penetrated the Grand Elder's body, crippling him as well.
"Ahh! Noo!" The Grand Elder fell to the ground in despair and helplessness. "You are a demon, a demon! Kill me if you dare!" He had lost the will to live after losing his cultivation. In this world where the strong prey on the weak, even if Wuji were to spare his life, it would still be miserable.
"That's for sure, but not now," Wuji said. With a mere thought, the fire burning the other sect members transformed into solar beams, crippling them all!
"Okay, that's done," Wuji said, ensuring everyone had lost the power to fight. He then retracted his spatial domain, leaving only his fire domain. Although the spatial domain was incredibly powerful, it consumed too much energy and couldn't be maintained for long. Despite using it for only 15 minutes, it had already consumed 30% of his strength.
He activated his light domain, and a white light filled the entire space. Strands of light descended from the sky, each one as warm and pleasant as the return of spring, almost like the loving embrace of a mother.
"What are you going to do?!" Lin Ting asked in bewilderment as he saw the light. He knew nothing good would come of this.
"..." Wuji remained silent, watching as the light healed those who were severely injured and on the verge of death.
A strand of white light entered Lin Mo's body, bringing him back from the brink of death. "What is the meaning of this?" Lin Mo looked around, confused. He had thought he was surely dead. Why was this demon saving him?
"What do you want to do?" the Grand Elder asked, eyeing Wuji warily.
"Are you dumb? Ever heard of the phrase 'I'll make you wish you were dead'?" Wuji retorted.
The expressions of everyone present changed upon hearing this.
"I'll make all of you wish you were dead," he whispered with a sinister grin, his voice seeming to echo from the depths of hell.
"Agh!!!"
Once again, fire engulfed everyone present. Released from the spatial bindings, they struggled desperately-some rolling on the ground, others clawing at their skin in agony.
After burning them for a while, he once again healed them before unleashing his fire once
more.
This cycle repeated for hours.
"Agh!!"
"Kill me if you dare!"
"Kill me! Please, kill me!" Lin Ting begged on his knees.
Once the strongest being not only in the sect but also in the kingdom, he now found himself begging his enemy for the sweet release of death.
Listening to their pathetic cries of agony, Wuji remained expressionless. He didn't feel the satisfaction he had anticipated; at most, he felt a fleeting happiness initially, but soon boredom set in.
Suddenly, Wuji retracted the fire domain.
"Huh?" Lin Ting and his son looked at Wuji with confusion.
Had he finally decided to end their suffering and grant them death?
"Thank you, thank you!" The Grand Elder knocked his head on the ground, expressing gratitude for what he believed was finally being allowed to die.
"Oh, it seems you've misunderstood something," Wuji said with a faint smile. "I grew bored of this method and decided to try something else. Don't worry, it'll be fun and less painful."
His words caused everyone present to feel their hearts sink. Just as they had dared to hope they might finally escape this hell, he shattered all their expectations.
"What do you mean?!" the Grand Elder demanded, lifting his head to glare at Wuji with burning eyes.
"Please, just kill us! You've tortured us enough!" Lin Mo begged, kneeling before Wuji.
"Hey, don't make me out to be the bad guy here. I promise the next phase won't be painful," Wuji said, spreading his arms helplessly as he felt misunderstood. "After this, I'll end it for you, don't worry."
In the next moment, he flipped his palm and revealed a sack. The sack was half-empty, containing a special powder he had prepared specifically for this moment.
He waved his hand, scattering the powder into the air.
"What is this?" Lin Ting asked, involuntarily inhaling the powder.
"It's good stuff, took quite a bit of effort to refine," Wuji explained.
"It's hot!"
"What's happening?!"
Soon, everyone began to feel their blood boiling, their eyes turning red. Some of them started
to lose control over their bodies.
"I feel so hot, it's unbearable!" Suddenly, one of the innate disciples began tearing his
clothes.
"Ahh! What are you doing?" After that he jumped at the man next to him, he ripped his colleague, and then he did something that made everyone terrified.
"What's happening? What are you doing!" The poor man beneath him struggled, but soon he grew too weak to resist and started moaning.
"Be careful! It's an aphrodisiac!" Lin Ting finally reacted and warned the others. However, suddenly he felt a force pushing him from behind. He turned around to look and saw his son
with red eyes staring at him.
"Stop! I am your father, wake up!" Lin Ting struggled frantically, but unfortunately, having lost his cultivation, he was now an elderly man without any strength.
"Ahh!" Soon the unthinkable happened.
The same scenario played out all around the space: an elder was pinned down by five innate disciples. The poor man struggled frantically, but in the end, he succumbed to their combined
efforts.
"..." Wuji felt disgusted by the scene. He turned around and walked away, leisurely heading in the direction of the sect treasury.
The treasury of the sect was a grand structure, befitting the status of the strongest force in the
kingdom.
Built from sturdy, intricately carved stone, the treasury was protected by multiple defensive formations. Its door was crafted from materials so resilient that even Monarchs would find it hard to destroy it; only the sect master possessed a token capable of opening it. After observing the door for a while, Wuji approached it. When he touched the door, space rippled like water, allowing him to pass through as though he were moving through liquid. This is the power of space, nothing can hinder him in this lower plane.
Inside, the treasury was a vast hall filled with rows upon rows of shelves and cabinets. Each shelf held treasures, scrolls, rare herbs, and artifacts all meticulously organized and protected by powerful barriers.
"Although the amount of Purple Veined Divine Crystal here is pitiful, the other items are
quite good," Wuji was pleasantly surprised upon finding the Purple Veined Divine Crystal. Unfortunately, there was just a little over 200 grams of it. He stored everything in the treasury
in the Sky Poison Pearl.
After making sure there was nothing left he returned where he came from.
Upon his return, Wuji found that everyone was still going at it.
Fighting with their swords, they truly lived up to their name, the Unity Sword Sect. Theirn/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
fencing skills are truly impressive.
Lin Ting was besieged by three men, with his son among them.
The Grand Elder was in an even worse, besieged by five assailants! "Okay, that's enough," Wuji said, losing the desire to continue the torment. He waved his
hand, and a sea of fire engulfed everyone present, reducing them to ashes.
And just like that, the high-end power of the Unity Sword Sect, once the strongest in the
region, was wiped out.
Wuji gave the place one last glance before teleporting away.
