Awakening:The Infinite Evolution of My Talent as a Low-Level Awakener

Chapter 574 The Power to Stand Against an Upper-Level God?

"It's over."

A triumphant expression spread across Silver Moon Wolf God's face. He had finally caught the insect that had been nothing but a coward, running and evading. The creature had fallen into his Phantom Blood Wheel, a powerful attack formed by the convergence of his upper-level Divine Power and the Moon Law. A mere god with weak Divine Power had no chance of resisting it.

This was the gap between realms. Even if your strength had surpassed the limits of weak Divine Power, if you hadn't reached the next level, all Divine Power defenses were as fragile as paper—an overwhelming, dimensional assault.

Moreover, when Silver Moon Wolf God broke through to the upper-level Divine Authority, his mastery of Moon Law had undergone further evolution. He not only possessed the immense slow-down ability of the upper-level Moon Law, but also wielded terrifying cutting power. Even space itself could not resist the Phantom Blood Wheel's cutting force.

To Eterna and the other gods, however, the effects of the domain were so overwhelming that they couldn't even comprehend what had just happened. All they saw was a flash of something, and then Sterl being struck. Enjoy more content from empire

Clearly, when facing the full force of an upper-level god, no matter how strong Hades was, it was like an ant trying to stop a chariot—there was no hope of victory. But, in comparison, they were in a much worse position. If they had been in Sterl's place, Silver Moon Wolf God wouldn't even need to get serious. One careless strike would have been enough to obliterate them.

But even if Hades had succeeded in angering Silver Moon Wolf God, causing him to unleash all his power, what good would it do? He was an invincible enemy, and all their efforts would be in vain.

Eterna shook his head in despair. He was already thinking about how to minimize the damage to the capital. But no matter how much he thought about it, it seemed futile. With the power and cards they had at their disposal, facing an upper-level god who had completely unleashed his power, they were nowhere near enough to stand a chance.

Unless they could reassemble a formation... but formations weren't something you could just put together casually. They required intricate carvings, a high-level formation map, and various materials and resources. Even if they had a new formation map, it would still take at least a day or two to set up. But Silver Moon Wolf God wouldn't give them that much time.

At this moment, Silver Moon Wolf God slowly extended his claw, a strand of Divine Power condensing into a chain that sped toward the ground. The insect had already been subdued, and now all that remained was to capture it and make it realize the consequences of insulting an upper-level god.

However, just as he was about to seize his prey, a brilliant divine light suddenly erupted from below. The faint blood-colored glow and smoke that surrounded them dissipated entirely, and the divine light surged upwards. The chains of Divine Power released by Silver Moon Wolf God were instantly shattered, and the light shot toward his head with incredible speed!

But just as it was about to strike Silver Moon Wolf God, the surrounding slow-down force intensified sharply, dramatically reducing the speed of the Destructive Light. What had started as a beam traveling at the speed of light now moved like a slow-moving flicker.

Silver Moon Wolf God swung a mighty slap, striking the Destructive Light with all his strength. Initially, he thought it was just an ordinary light beam, but as his claw made contact, a powerful force exploded, and he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his paw. To his shock, a bloody hole had appeared on his claw, with divine blood flowing from it.

He... had been injured!

The wound on his claw began to heal at a visible rate, but the pain was something he hadn't experienced in a long time. To think that, in the lower realm, there would be someone capable of injuring him.

This realization jolted him back to clarity, dispelling his bloodthirst and madness. His demeanor shifted to one of grave seriousness and caution. He looked down, and their eyes met—Sterl was still in the posture of releasing the Destructive Light, completely unharmed. Somehow, Sterl had managed to block the Phantom Blood Wheel with an unknown method.

"I admit, I underestimated you," Silver Moon Wolf God said slowly, his aura beginning to retract. His expression became even more serious and solemn. "I never thought someone like you would emerge from the lower realm. You are no longer like those insects."

Sterl, in turn, dropped his earlier sneer and mockery, his expression now grave. He could feel the change in Silver Moon Wolf God. Previously, the god had treated him as nothing more than a trivial insect to be toyed with, but after he had used Eternal Reincarnation and Star Armor to block the Phantom Blood Wheel, the god's attitude had shifted. He was now being regarded as a true opponent.

Since they were now considered opponents, the so-called insults and mockery no longer needed to provoke anger. What Silver Moon Wolf God needed to do was simply use his own power to defeat, suppress, and completely subdue his foe.

Sterl, too, had the same mindset. Now that Silver Moon Wolf God was taking him seriously, the earlier mockery no longer had any significance. In fact, it was the perfect opportunity. He was eager for a fair, head-to-head battle with an upper-level god, wanting to see just how powerful such a being truly was.

"You're impressive," Silver Moon Wolf God said calmly. "From here on, I will use my full power to erase your soul, and your head will become one of my trophies. To have made me take you seriously... you have every right to be proud of yourself."

Silver Moon Wolf God's tone was composed, his earlier frenzied state now seeming like a distant illusion. This was the self-control of an upper-level god. Having recognized Sterl as an opponent, he would now kill him with the most calculated and calm approach possible.

In this state, while Silver Moon Wolf God was no longer as terrifying as before, Sterl felt an even greater sense of danger.

"Come on," Sterl replied, his voice steady and eager. "It's been so long since I've had a fight like this."

Instead of fear or panic in the face of danger, Sterl felt his blood surge with excitement. Yes, he was exhilarated, longing for a fierce and intense battle!

It reminded him of the first time before his class change when he soloed a boss. The sensation of every cell in his body being fired up, every ounce of his being focused and consumed by the battle—it was an addictive feeling.

But as he grew stronger, the enemies he faced gradually failed to match his power. Even gods seemed as weak as mortals in his hands, unable to stir any excitement. Now, this Silver Moon Wolf God had reignited that very feeling within him!

The two stood in an invisible standoff, the unseen forces between them expanding, casting a heavy, oppressive sensation over a radius of several hundred miles. Everyone, even the gods, felt as if they were struggling to breathe, as if their throats were being constricted.

At the same time, the upper-level Moon Divine Authority field that Silver Moon Wolf God had unleashed began to contract rapidly, shrinking from several hundred miles to a mere fifty-mile range. While the range had diminished, the slow-down effect within it had grown even more powerful.

Eterna and the others finally managed to escape the reach of the field, recovering from the slowed state. For the first time, they could clearly see the true nature of the battle unfolding before them.

Eterna's eyes widened in shock, his body frozen as he stared at the standoff between Silver Moon Wolf God and Sterl. What was happening? Hades had actually blocked the power of Silver Moon Wolf God! And... judging by Silver Moon Wolf God's expression, he now regarded Hades as a true opponent, a powerful being on the same level as himself!

After a moment, Eterna took a deep breath, his mind still in turmoil. He had always held Hades in high regard, but now it seemed that he had still underestimated Hades' strength. The fact that Hades could truly possess the power to challenge an upper-level god was beyond his expectations.

Could this mean that Orichalcum might still have a chance!?

Looking at Silver Moon Wolf God's solemn expression, it was clear that the opponent had finally acknowledged the threat that Hades posed. This was why Silver Moon Wolf God had shifted into such a serious state. If Hades could withstand the onslaught of Silver Moon Wolf God, and hold on for a little longer, perhaps they could wait for reinforcements from the upper realms!

Of course, Eterna hadn't considered whether Hades could actually defeat Silver Moon Wolf God. For someone with mere Divine Power, to make an upper-level god treat him as a true opponent was already an astounding feat. It was like a one-year-old baby threatening a world champion boxer—something so unbelievable it defied all logic!

Yet, unlike before, Eterna's confidence was shaken. For the first time, he found himself hoping—really hoping—that Sterl had the ability to defeat an upper-level god.

"No, I can't think like this!" he suddenly thought to himself. "Once this war ends, I must petition the upper realms. Whatever the cost, I will bring Hades to the Royal City, making him a permanent member of the kingdom!"

He silently reassured himself that if Hades truly became a god of Orichalcum, perhaps, just perhaps, the kingdom could one day return to its former glory and splendor!

It wasn't just Eterna. On the Ashen side, Boris, though his face carried an expression of disbelief and concern, was inwardly ecstatic!

He had known his lord was strong, but never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that Hades could possess the strength to confront an upper-level god. It was simply mind-blowing.

This revelation filled him with boundless joy and excitement. He could already picture the future—if his lord ascended to godhood and gained the power of upper-level divine authority, what kind of incredible force would he become? Perhaps Hades would rise to become one of the great gods in the Endless Void!

At that thought, Boris suddenly felt a surge of pride. To serve his lord, to be one of those by his side, was nothing short of a blessing!
