Chapter 47: 47 : Banquet_4
BOOOOOM!
Sigurd crashed heavily into the wall of the hall, causing cracks to spread in all directions. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, his face turning pale.
Slowly, he slid down the wall and knelt on one knee, his heart racing as he looked at Seraphine in the distance with fear in his eyes.
But that fear quickly turned to anger and fury. He stood up, turned into a blur, and shot towards Seraphine with incredible speed.
BANG!
However, in the next moment, he was sent flying back, crashing against the wall, his face now bloodlessly pale.
His eyes blazed with anger and a desire to kill. He couldn't believe he had been defeated by Seraphine in just one move. The guests watched Sigurd in disbelief, shaking their heads and giving him mocking looks.
As Sigurd stood up, he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His gaze was icy as he stared at Seraphine, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
Suddenly, a faint light flashed and a long, gleaming sword appeared in his hands. The sword was pitch black with a shining white skull on the hilt, and faint red veins pulsated on the blade.
Black tentacles wrapped around the sword, slithering around it and then wrapping around Sigurd's hand. In moments, he was completely covered in the black tentacles, only his head visible with eyes that had turned completely black.
The aura emanating from both the sword and Sigurd was undeniably demonic and evil, causing the guests to quickly move away in fear.
"What kind of sword is that?" Ryatt asked Igor, his face pale with terror.
Igor didn't answer, but his expression was serious as he gazed at the sword.
Gunther, Wilhelm, and Alura also looked on solemnly, the energy coming from the sword is extremely demonic, they felt as if their minds were being corrupted by the evil presence of the sword.
Seraphine eye narrowed slightly s she looked at the sword in Sigurd hand, she was slightly surprised.
" Seraphine!! I'm going to kill you " Sigurd ear pierce unpleasant voice sounded as he laughed evily.
His voice was quite uncomfortable to hear, It's like metal rubbing against each other really unpleasant.
Sigurd gripped the sword with both hands, his aura growing even more powerful as a black, baleful energy swirled around him.
The ground began to tremble, causing thick cracks the size of fingers to appear on the marble tile floor and walls as his aura continued to rise.
Felix's expression shifted slightly, realizing that if this continued, the entire banquet hall could be destroyed or even affect the entire restaurant. However, he knew he cannot intervene with his own strength.
Just the sight of that badass sword in Sigurd's hand made his heart tremble slightly.
Just as Felix was in a dilemma not knowing what to do.
" Enough!!!
A powerful and authoratative voice sounded followed by a horrifying and apocalyptic aura slammed down on the banquet.
BOOM!!
All the people in the hall were slammed to the ground with blood spurting from their mouth.
Igor, Wilhelm, Alura, Gunther and Seraphine were much in better condition, they only knelt down on one knee with pale faces, blood tickling on the corner of their mouths.
Sigurd was the one in worse condition, he was completely embedded on the marble tile floor, his entire body was split opened in various places.
The sword that was in his hands was now floating a few centimeters away from the floor unceasingly trembling while emitting strange and horrifying screams.
Felix was the only one standing in the hall completely unharmed, his expression was completely blank as he didn't know what was going on, he felt confused.
" System is this what i think it is?" Fekix snapped out of his daze state and asked the system in a shaking voice.
" Yes Host, this is the system newbie protection" the system replied.
Felix eyes were wide opened with shock," Fuck, then isn't this too OP".
Felix was shocked, he didn't expect the system newbie protection to be so powerful and badass.
"Excuse me, system, what type of protection is provided for newbies?" Felix inquired with curiosity. The last time he asked, the system simply replied that he would find out when the time came.
"This is merely the aura and pressure of a Tier Nine Forbidden Knight," the system explained.
"Goodness gracious," Felix exclaimed. He couldn't believe that the system would assign a Tier Nine Forbidden Knight as newbie protection. This is quite impressive."
" And he haven't released his full aura yet, this is just one percent of his full strength" the system added.
Felix was stunned as he surveyed the guests, all of whom were lying on the floor with pale faces.
He then turned his gaze to Seraphine, Gunther, Igor, Wilhelm, and Alura before finally looking at Sigurd, who lay on the floor in a broken state with blood spurting from his body.
He couldn't believe it - just one percent power of that Tier 9 Forbidden Knight had rendered them all powerless.
Even Seraphine, who he had thought was powerful, couldn't stand up to just one percent power of a Tier 9 Forbidden Knight.
It was too OP and badass. Felix snapped out of his thoughts and glanced around the hall. His eyes flickered as he delved into deep contemplation.
After a few moments, a wicked grin slowly spread across his face. His gaze turned evil as he looked at Sigurd lying on the floor like a dead dog.
"If you want to fight, take it outside. Don't cause a scene in the restaurant. If you fight here again, I won't hesitate to teach you a lesson on behalf of your clans," the powerful voice boomed.
The pressure in the room quickly dissipated, and the black sword floating above the floor also vanished as well. The hall fell into a deathly silence.
Everyone who had been knocked to the ground slowly rose, their legs trembling with fear. They were truly scared out of their wits - the pressure had been terrifying.
Seraphine and the others slowly stood up, their expressions solemn. Seraphine glanced over at Felix in the corner of the hall, her eyes flickering with interest.
Gunther, Igor, Wilhelm, and Alura also looked at Felix curiously, shocked that a restaurant established less than two months ago could have such a powerful figure.
A cough echoed through the hall, drawing everyone's attention to Sigurd, who was slowly getting up from the floor, battered and pale. His clothes were torn and bloodied, and fear was evident in his eyes.
He looked at Seraphine with a mix of terror and hatred, then without saying anything he turned and headed towards the hall's entrance.
Suddenly, a voice called out, "Young Master Sigurd." Sigurd stopped and slowly turned and looked at Felix.
The others looked on in confusion, as some had not seen Felix since he entered the hall.
Sigurd hoarsely asked, "Who are you?"
Felix replied with a polite smile, "I am the manager of this restaurant."
Sigurd looked at Felix in disbelief, "Then who is that person?" he asked, fear creeping into his voice.
Felix calmly responded, "That person is the true owner of this restaurant."
Sigurd, now cautious, asked, "What do you want?".
"Well, young master, your battle with Miss Seraphine has caused significant physical damage to the restaurant and has also affected the waiters psychologically. Our current funds are tight, so you will need to compensate us for the damages," Felix said with a polite smile.
Sigurd's expression turned to rage. He had never been spoken to like this before. "You want me to compensate for the damages in the restaurant?" he said through gritted teeth.
"Yes, young master Sigurd. Your fight with Miss Seraphine has really caused a lot of destruction here, and I am currently unable to cover it. You see, I am quite poor," Felix nodded.
" Damm,you..."Sigurd was about to unleash a string of curses when he suddenly felt an overwhelming pressure descend upon him his face changed drastically as he looked up with terror in his eyes, a second later the overwhelming pressure quickly disappear.
Taking a deep breath, he asked Felix, "How much do I owe you?"
"Not much, just two million gold coins," Felix politely smiled. "I'm sure the great young master Sigurd can afford this small amount."
Sigurd's lips twitched slightly as he clenched his fists, wishing he could punch Felix's smiling face. Although two million gold coins wasn't a huge amount for him, he knew the damages didn't even amount to that. But the pressure he had felt earlier made him swallow his words.
With narrowed eyes, he said to Felix, "Okay, I'll send someone to deliver the two million gold coins tomorrow morning."
Felix nodded and smiled, "Okay then, young master Sigurd. But I hope you won't go back on your word, otherwise I don't know what to tell the restaurant owner."
Sigurd ground his teeth with fury in his eyes. "Don't worry, I won't go back on my word."
"Good," Felix nodded.
"Is that all?" Sigurd asked.
"Yes, that's all, young master Sigurd," Felix nodded with a polite smile.
" Humph!"Sigurd harrumphed coldly as he turned and slowly walked out of the banquet hall, his back looking quite lonely and pathetic.
