Chapter 59 Finishing The Drill
59 Finishing The Drill
40 minutes later...
Zeras finally arrived at the top of the mountains he landed on the ground with a thud, and breathed his lungs out.
A heavy body suddenly landed on Zeras, but he didn't even have the strength to push the body up. Looking at the body, he could see it was that golden-haired dragon race boy.
"Move away... You'll suffocate me..." Zeras said to the boy as he struggled to move away from Zeras and landed on the ground behind him.
"I'm...Ha...Ha...I'm... Sorry... sorry bro..." The boy said with bated breath as they both looked at the sky, the sun showing no Mercy at all as if wanting to milk all of them dry of blood.
"We.. we're not brothers... You're a dragon... I'm... I'm...a Human..." Zeras said as the boy laughed out loud and they slowly pushed themselves up.
Zeras finally looked at the surroundings as he saw the portal was just about 20 meters away but unfortunately, there was a gigantic abyss with no end just before the teleporter.
"How are we supposed to arrive at the teleporter? I don't think they suppose we can all fly can we..." Some students complained.
But Zera's eyes narrowed as he saw the extremely tiny rope that passed over to the other side of the teleporter.
"Look. There's a rope..."
The students were surprised as they looked at their feet and saw there truly was a rope that extended over the Abyss and to the teleporter.
But it was so tiny it was almost unnoticeable.
"That's really great. After running and climbing a mountain. We now have to climb a rope too..." A guy from the gooey race complained.
It was the guy whose body could easily cling to the mountain due to his strange gooey body but this time it was a tiny rope and clinging to that wasn't easy at all also due to his gooey body.
A smirk appeared on Zera's face as he muttered to himself.
"Nature really is kind to all beings..."
"We only have 15 minutes more..." One of the students said as they all quickly clung to the rope.
They were about 9 ropes that extended to the teleporter they all quickly took one and clinged on it to start climbing.
Zeras clung himself to the rope as he couldn't help but take a spittle in due to the endless abyss before him.
As for the so-called Help Robots, Zeras wasn't willing to stake his survival on them.
Clinging to the rope and slowly climbing their way up.
All of them slowly made their way to the teleporter as they tried moving faster due to the time that was rapidly draining while some fell occasionally but got picked by the robot and sent down the mountain to begin all over again.
Falling into the abyss was more painful than a death sentence...
Zeras moved on the rope, slowly dragging himself forward with the dragon boy just behind him.
But as he was struggling, he couldn't help but notice something strange going on beside him as all the students seemed to suddenly pause and look in a particular direction.
A strange expression appeared on Zera's face wondering what the cause was, as he also looked in the same direction and his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
A person was walking on the rope and it was...Gaiah Shiron?
The entire students watched as Gaiah easily walked on the tiny rope, without even shaking at all, and walked its 20-meter length in less than a minute. Arriving on the other side, she stood on the teleporter as she waved at all the students still climbing with a mocking smile before disappearing in a flash of light...
The whole new cadets stood there dumbstruck as they watched the magic that just unfolded right now.
"Is that not against the rules..."
Zeras looked at the joker race boy who said it as he ignored him and quickly climbed forward the way he knew it, but in his mind, he couldn't help but tell himself... n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Nature really is unfair..."

8 minutes later...
Zeras finally managed to crawl his way to the other side as he fell face flat on the teleporter before disappearing in a flash of light...
He finally completed the day's drill.
It was like being weaved through space but the duration was very small as Zeras found himself in the starting line where they all came from and the two instructors could be once again seen.
The instructors looked at Zeras strangely but nodded satisfactorily.
'It seems he's worthy of the 1st new cadets rankings..."
A figure also immediately appeared next to Zeras In the next second revealing it to be the dragon boy who also stood up quickly gaining a hold of himself.
After him was Quinn Voidspace and then other students...
"It seems I ranked second out of the cadets and Gaiah was first... Guess she is not that bad..."
"The first two hours have gone by and 70 of you managed to complete the trail within the time frame. That's an amazing result.
The remaining 92 students would have to start their drill again from the beginning.
As for the first person to arrive here, she'll be awarded with 50 points. Whoever it is keep it up..." The Instructor said with a smile as Zeras noticed he didn't mention it was Gaiah for some strange reason.
"With the drills completed, a notification will appear informing you all of your next classes. Remember failure to attend a class will lead to the deduction of points and if you don't have points, then you'll be escorted to the punishment room to pay. We will all meet here once again tomorrow, you all can leave now, and good luck in your other classes..." The male instructor said as they all quickly left.
Zeras moved out of the place as thheuddenly felt a buzzing on his watch due to a notification <Combat class starts in 30 minutes now>
<Please proceed to the Hall of Classes>
Zeras snorted coldly as he muttered angrily
"How classic of the EIA. Not even a minute of rest."
He immediately moved toward the direction of the Combat Hall as directed by the arrow on the map. Even though he wanted some rest, it wasn't at the cost of losing his precious points.
