Chapter 126: Auction Tricks!
Draco woke up once again at the auction, only to see Alexander and his wives looking out of the window.
"What's this? It's already starting?' He thought.
Then he looked at his system panel and saw the message that said:
[Congratulations, Host! You've reached 100% Understanding of Fate(Ex-Rank)]
'When did it get to Ex-Rank?' He asked internally.
[A Fate Memory is powerful enough to give its owner not only 100% Understanding but even take said law to EX-Rank. However, To Fuse with said law, you have to get it up to Transcendent-Rank.] Zero, who was looking out of the window too, said.
'Oh, That is quite useful.' Draco replied as he went to look at the window next.
The auction was already brimming with beings of all races, and the auctioneer was in the space in the middle. All eyes were on him.
He was a man outwarding an aura of confidence and mystery, and he was handsome enough to catch the attention of the women here and make them force their men to bring out every single penny they held so as to catch his attention and make themselves look superior in front of other women.
As for the men? It was the bunch of fine women behind the auctioneer who surveilled the goods that were hidden by red cloth and floating around them.
The auctioneer was wearing a white costume that further amplified his aura as well as his authority over the auction hall.
Draco and Co. I waited for a few minutes before the auctioneer opened his hands wide and flashed out a wide smile.
"Ladies And gentlemen, Welcome to Portalia's Number 1 Auction, The One & Only Golden Sun Auction!" The Auctioneer welcomed the guests with a wide smile as applauds resounded right after he finished his words.
"Keep your calm, ladies and gentlemen. The real fun is coming, and I promise you, you won't be able to hold yourselves back anymore." His smile turned slightly sinister.
An auctioneer's job was to keep his guests entertained, and this one for sure knew how.
Seeing as the Guests were quick to calm down, The Auctioneer smiled and brought one hands of his back as one of the boxes holding the goods came floating towards him.
The box was quite big, as it was around as big as the body of a car.
The guests were quite intrigued by what could be inside that box.
But the Auctioneer just smiled.
"For our first Item of the day..." He said this and stopped for a few seconds as the red veil around the box slowly floated up to reveal an exquisite chest adorned with golden veins as its texture.
As the box opened and golden light bloomed from it, the auctioneer looked at the audience.
"... We have a 1 ton neutral law crystal!" As the box fully opened, the gray, shimmering crystal was unveiled for the world to see.
Some guests couldn't hold themselves back as they got up from their seats to make sure what they were seeing was true.
A neutral law crystal was simply the crystallization of neutral law, and it was something that anyone, rich or poor, would do anything to have.
It was that important. It was that rare.
A single ton was enough to help one fuse with 1% of a law!
That was hundreds of years worth of fusing, if not thousands.
It was even capable of helping a Lord of Law filtrate up to 0.01% of a law.
"Now now, Calm down. This is nothing but the first item and we have more than just a few tons in total that we're selling." The auctioneer calmly stated, but the audience were going crazy. Some only needed 10% to completely fuse with a law, if they manage to get only 10, it will guarantee them reaching the Lord level and leave this forsaken place.
The real question was if they would be able to snatch enough Crystals for them to break through.
Draco looked at the crystal but he wasn't interested, neither was Alexander.
"The bidding will start from 1 Million Prison Coins. One cannot bid less than 100 Thousand Coins." The auctioneer announced.
The Audience calmed down and everybody sat on their seats before the auctioneer clapped while looking at them.
"Very well, ladies and gentlemen... You may start."
The way the auction functioned was by inputting one's bid on the bracelet and a holograph will show up showing their bid, that an AI voice will then announce out loud.
"1.1 Million Coins." The first bid was a simple 100k Coins increase, which was then announced by the Voice
"1.2 Million."
1.4 Million."
"2 Million." Right after the 1.4, someone directly raised the bar to 2 million.
What surprised the audience wasn't that the bidding increased but that the bidder was a VIP.
These super rich powerhouses don't bid this fast. It was probably someone new to these auctions.
"2.1 Million." The auction continued.
"2.2..."
"2.3..."
"2.5..."
"3.5 Million." The VIP once again bid a larger amount, as this made the regular guests worried that the true Super VIP whales would show up sooner than expected, not even allowing them to snatch the first few crystals.
Seeing as the Super VIP had no intention to move yet, a collective sigh of relief was heard before the auction continued as the VIP continuously bid until they got the crystal for 33 million prison coins.
And then the second crystal was revealed, only for it to be sold for a tad higher than the first at 35 million coins by the same VIP. This got the regular guests all anxious.
Not knowing that the VIP was nothing but a comrade of the auction, whose job it was to make them fear that they wouldn't be able to get enough crystals before the Super VIPs made their moves, especially when they didn't know how many tons of crystals there were.
