Chapter 201: Turning Point!
Portalia was in a dire situation at the moment. 3 of its strongest celestials were just purged, and some of its most important aspects were reset.
The first and most important is the time dilation. Time was the one making it so Portalia's time goes 365 times faster than the outer world. He was also in charge of the prison realm; thus, there was no time difference when Portalia was in there.
Now, however, the prison realm's time was the only one equipped with such a function, while Portalia was stripped of its own. This meant many things, one of them being that other worlds will progress faster while Portalia will be years behind, depending on the intensity of time dilation.
Demi-Celestials of time could make the difference between the world and outer space up to 7:1; lesser celestials were a bit advanced, able to increase that to 30:1; however, high celestials were able to make the difference ten times crazier. Of course, higher-ranked celestials were capable of more.
Second, when Portalians were dispatched to the prison, they would spend thousands of years there and when they came back, only a few would pass on Portalia.
The other important celestial difference was Night's. Monsters and creatures who were made with a tinge of evil and ruthlessness will get crazier during the night, putting the world in even more danger.
Lastly, Truth's difference. Truth was mainly responsible for protecting the world from lies and keeping the world's entire history intact; there for all knowledge seekers to read from its start to its latest days. Now, however, anyone could mess around with it.
All of this went on to show that the anti-celestials weren't joking this time around. They were seriously moving against Portalia and planning on completely messing up its order.
Unfortunately for them, they missed the one who could turn their entire plans on their heads. Draco Valenstein, the Celestial of Chaos.
Now, It wasn't that the clown didn't notice Draco nor was he uninformed; in fact, he was told to watch him and report back anything unusual. However, the lazy fellow thinking that it was just a Demi-celestial didn't pay attention to him, not to mention that Draco did a good job by not showing any reaction, much like Earth, another lesser celestial of Portalia.
"What do we do now?" Life gritted her teeth and clenched her fists while looking at the ground. She was lost, all hope was gone after three of the strongest celestials they had were purged just like that.
"We cannot do anything, Life." Darkness stated.
"We might act tough in front of him, but all of us here know that there's nothing we do. Portalia is lost... forever." He added.
"But we can't just give up like this. Let's fight; let's give the young ones below a chance to ascend. Let's-" Life didn't give up; her mind ran in overdrive as she tried to think of a solution to their dilemma; however, she was interrupted by Forest.
"Life, my dear. We have no time anymore, our nights are dangerous, and lies can be thrown at our people from the evil hands of that bastard and all we can do is look from above in hope that our situation gets better." Forest said, her face grim.
"It can't be... We can't just... give up like this." Life, a high celestial who had gone through many hardships and faced the trials of life and death, couldn't keep herself standing anymore and fell to her knees.
Nobody said anything while seeing this. They couldn't. However, one individual had the solution to all of this.
Draco approached Life and stood in front of her before he squatted to face her.
"Worry not, Life. I will take matters into my own hands. So rise up; a celestial shouldn't be on her knees like this." He said, stretching his hand for Life to take.
The celestial gazed at Draco's sincere eyes and then at his hands, but... she didn't take hold of them.
"You're nothing but a lesser celestial, Chaos... As much as I want to believe that there is still hope, I... I-" Life couldn't say it; she couldn't bring herself to say that she couldn't believe in him. Something inside her told her to give him a chance. However, her actions, no matter how small and logical they seemed, snapped something inside of Draco.
'This... isn't it. This isn't who I am; this isn't who I should be.' He thought, looking at his outstretched hand.
'When did I become like this? When did I become a soft and compassionate man who would lower himself down to someone so weak-minded?' Anger bubbled inside of Draco. He wasn't like this; he was never supposed to be like this.
'I AM A DEMON! A DEMON WHO WILL CONQUER THIS ENTIRE EXPANSE OF VOID ABOVE ME!' For a split second, Draco's face showed utter rage and his aura broke out briefly, snapping Life out of her thoughts. However, by the time she looked at him, only a warm smile was on his face.
"Very well." Bringing his hand back, Draco got up and walked towards away from the group, leaving everybody behind.
"Draco, where are you going?" Alexander asked; however, Draco didn't answer.
"Alexander." Leona called, her eyes focused on Draco.
"Let him be." When Alexander turned to see who called him, Leona spoke.
"What do you-"
"Let him be." Leona repeated once more, her cold eyes gazing at Alexander's very soul.
Love watched all of this with a smile, not saying anything. Then she gazed at Draco's disappearing back.
'I wonder what you will do this time.' she thought.
This day was a turning point for Draco. This was the day he discovered that waiting for others before taking his own steps... was the biggest mistake one could commit.
From this onwards, he will wait for nobody, he will take the opinion of nobody, and he will only respect those he thought deserved his respect.
