Chapter 72: Azeroth! System Upgrade!
"You're here! Welcome, Young Kythnos! Sebastian, I see you've been doing well, I'm Glad."
Suddenly, Draco and Sebastian looked forward and saw a being of unfathomable beauty and knee-buckling majesty that almost rivaled that of the Snail Monarch as well as a malplaced Holiness that didn't fit quite right with the... King of Hell.
Azeroth looked at Draco directly seizing him up and down and even when he spoke he didn't even look at Sebastian.
"Thank You, Your Majesty!"
Sebastian bowed his head and looked down, not speaking any further, but Draco held eye contact with Azeroth.
Azeroth as seen before in the Gate was a Fallen angel with celestial beauty and Wings that were Dark with streaks of white and gold that made them even more Beautiful.
"I see you're quite strong. and Your Aura... I fear my Children were quite interested in seeing someone with such Majesty that eclipses mine. Come, let us talk." Azeroth spoke once again after seeing Draco having no intention to speak.
A Table appeared in front of the Throne and a chess board was placed on top of it.
Draco who liked the Idea of talking to such a being didn't shy away and walked towards the Table making a Throne out of Pure Hellfire purer than Anything Azeroth had ever seen, he sat there with a Brilliant Demeanor.
Azeroth looked at the Throne and smiled weakly before he said.
"I feel myself getting defeated in so many ways before even fighting. Have you ever Played Chess?" he asked.
"Not with my own hands." Draco replied.
Indeed many of the students he Devoured had experience with Chess and some were even Grandmasters, and Chess for such beings of Unfathomable Brain Sharpness was at a while different level.
"You begin." Azeroth pointed with his hand.
Draco silently looked at his white pieces and started with the iconic Pawn to e4.
Azeroth smiled and played his part.
Sebastian watched calmly as the air in the Throne Room was overwhelmed with the Aura of two beings fighting for Dominance.
At one point in time Azeroth's Aura was the stronger one but slowly, Draco's Aura utterly dominated the former.
it could be said that this was the Actual Boss Fight, with no skills thrown, and nobody damaged.
The two fought on equal ground and the most knowledgeable wins, and in this case... It Was Draco.
"Checkmate." Calmly stating Draco finished the game by Sacrificing his rook and promoting a pawn to a queen before Checkmating Azeroth in a masterclass of a play.
Instead of sighing in defeat or anything of sorts, Azeroth smiled and said.
"It's been a while since I've been defeated. Let's play another round, this time I will get serious."
Draco looked at him and smiled.
"Very well, this time you can begin, however, how about we make a bet this time?" he asked as calmly as possible.
"Sounds good, what would you like to bet on?" Azeroth played with his pieces and asked while looking down.
"Your Life." Draco looking at him directly replied.
"Haha, You do not play, I see. Very Well, but, this means you will have to bet something of equal value." Azeroth dropped his knight in its place and looked at Daco before he said.
"Of course, What would you like?" Draco asked knowing full well that Azeroth would rather have him alive than Dead.
"If you lose I want your Full Loyalty." Azeroth in all seriousness replied.
"Oho, Nice Play. Sounds good to me, It's not like I will lose." Draco said.
It was a good deal for both of Them, Azeroth was a Dungeon Boss he was bound to the Dungeon he wouldn't die even if killed thus the worst that would happen is him being under Draco, and the same could be said for Draco.
Azeroth played his pawn to d4 and the play went even better more complex and mind-burning than the last.
In the end, it ended with Azeroth choosing an en-passant over a possible Brilliant move that could have turned the tables on Draco. Truly a man of culture. Preferring to stay on the righteous path than to keep his own life.
"Checkmate!"
Then Draco finished it with a pawn Checkmate.
The two looked at each other and shook their hands before Azeroth started disintegrating by himself.
"[Devouring]!" Before the Fallen Angel could fully disintegrate Draco Devoured him as he was considered dead.
