Chapter 211 Unexpected Situation 4
211 Unexpected Situation 4
The white-browed old man's eyes still had the last breath of astonishment and shock. He had no idea how the woman in red appeared next to him. Then, the last light in his eyes dimmed, and his body and soul were destroyed.
The woman in red walked past his corpse. Her eyes were as cold and emotionless as a knife as if she found him an eyesore and crushed a small bug.
She stopped here. Beside her was a sea of blood and corpses, which made her jade-like feet look even more white. Then, she looked into the distance and walked again.
On this day, one city vanished from this world and the name of a certain red-clothed woman resounded through the world. Her first apparition sent chaos through the world. This marked the Goddess of Death's first apparition.
The scene stopped as Nix closed her eyes and sighed.
''I missed those times when I could go on a rampage, trampling on those humans making them fear us. The sight of blood I can never get enough of it.''
''Hah! I shall clean up a bit for Father to have a smooth sailing school life. Knowing him he would be bored soon. I should prepare for then.'' Nix said as she slowly rose to her feet and went to take a shower before dressing in a new dress.
Her elegant dress flows from top to bottom and has a keyhole neckline, which delicately reveals the modest dress worn below it. The smooth, corset of her dress covers her stomach where the continuous flow is broken up by a wide cloth band worn low around her waist.
Below the cloth band, the dress opens up left and right and reveals the dress below. The front of the top dress is much shorter at the front and curves outwards, the back continues to flow a good length behind her and ends in a narrow curve.
Her sleeves are almost the length of her arms and a little wide, their flow is broken up below the elbow where they change color and where they're divided by long, ornamental bands, these are the same fabric and color used to outline the edges of the dress.
''Let's go.'' She disappeared soon after, her next destination was the Holy Church in the middle of the continent where her second sister is.
Meanwhile back to Orpheus's and the other's location.
The group moved cautiously in the city. Orpheus secretly spread his senses, taking in the whole city. He could sense a few monsters here and there but he also sensed something repulsive coming from the depth of the ghost town.
While Lily and the others readied their respective weapons, the ruin's robotic voice rang out, announcing the content of this floor.
[Defeat the unknown enemy, the unknown entity in the depth of the city.]
''What? This is different from what the record said.'' Lily cried in alarm, she looked at Orpheus as if to ask him if he knew anything about this unknown entity but all she received in return was Orpheus simply shrugging his shoulders.
''Tch!" Lily clicked her tongue in annoyance. Of course, she didn't believe Orpheus's claim of not knowing anything, still, they have to proceed forward.
''Let's go.''
Soon the group arrived at an interception, there was only one solution which was to separate the group into two, and the final was for the girls to go on one side while the males would take the only road left.
''Please look out for any danger and call me and I'll be there,'' Orpheus smirked as he said those words but Lily simply rolled her eyes at him while Ilya sighed feeling jealous.
Hellion clenched his fists tightly, he had expected to be paired with Lily and he would have used this opportunity to get closer to her but how can Orpheus not see through his intention? He simply foiled the naive boy's plan.
Soon the group dispersed, going on their own.
''Orpheus what's your relationship with Lily.''
As soon as they were on their own Hellion raised this question.
'Look at this. Curious aren't we?' Orpheus smirked inwardly while outwardly he raised his shoulders.
''I leave it to your imagination.'' He responded.
Hellion frowned upon hearing this ambiguous answer. He felt like Orpheus at the moment was different than when the girls were present. He was like an emperor standing above everyone. He was just an ant before him, Hellion felt infinitely inferior to him and he didn't like this feeling one bit, and just as he was about to question him about this ambiguous answer he simply fell asleep on the ground without warning.
Orpheus didn't even look at Hellion he put to sleep before disappearing. It was the time to watch a good show. To accelerate Lily's awakening and growth. It was why he separated them like this.
In the meantime time on the girl's location, as soon as they choose their road, they soon found themselves thrown into a thick fog. They couldn't be together anymore and each drifted to a separate direction it was when it happened. An unexpected situation occurred for Lily.
Right now Lily met an unexpected enemy. An origin beast she had never heard of. She froze in place, sweat covering her forehead.
Two close-set eyes look at their surroundings from their eerie sockets. A flat nose rests below, but it's the huge mouth below that takes all the attention. A gummy smile reveals rows of eerie-looking teeth and a small tongue.
Short wrinkled ears sit on each side of its large, pointy head, which itself is covered in web-like fans and has two stubby horns protruding from the sides.
Its average chunky body is hunched over. Two long stone-like arms dangle at its sides and end in wide hands with curvy fingers, of which it has 10 in total.
Its legs are tall and slightly bent, each ending in muscular feet.
Its body was covered in feathers and its shoulders are narrower than its pelvis, from which a split tail sways back and forth.
Swoosh!
In the next moment, the weird origin beast moved and Lily was knocked flying.
