Chapter 192 - 192 An Unbelievable Sight
192 An Unbelievable Sight
Blake was torn between his three choices, the myriad of darkness tendrils, the combination spell with Cyra, and also using the second realm darkness bullet spell.
Using the last option was a surefire way for him to end the fight for real with 99.9% certainty, that 0,1% was just a reserved estimation for something that couldn’t be predicted by either logic or feelings.
However, 99.9 percent was more than a high enough percentage to ensure his task of killing the intimidating muscular humanoid demon would be completed without fail.
However, there was one important factor that made Blake hesitate greatly to use the second realm darkness spell.
The nether capacity inside his body increased greatly despite Blake not putting all five of his unused status points into his spirit. With the constant increase of two or three points after each level up, his spirit stat had also been growing significantly from the last time he was able to cast the second realm darkness spell without collapsing.
Right now, if Blake were to cast the second realm darkness spell while the nether in his body was still full, then Blake wouldn’t be having any problem casting several myriads of darkness tendril spells despite their huge usage of nether.
Moreover, the bloodline power that he got from Cyra not only gave his nether a fiery attribute, it also increased his ability to recover his nether, making the dangerousness of casting a second realm spell fall down even more drastically.
However, that one factor that Blake was thinking about didn’t come from the internal side or his own body. Rather, it had come from the thought that another demon from the deeper realm would appear and gang on him and his friends while he was in a slightly weakened state.
Though he hadn’t spent as much nether as when he fought the flying humanoid demon, casting several myriads of darkness tendrils spell consecutively, Blake had indeed spent his nether to cast the firewall, the combined dark flame bullet spell with Cyra, and also activating his rune formations.
.....
He would be able to cast the second realm darkness bullet spell, but he wouldn’t be able to exert more powerful spells or even his life saving set of rune formations properly if a dangerous situation or a strong enemy ever came out of nowhere for the second time.
And considering that he now knew that the muscular humanoid demon somehow had the ability to sense the death of his kin, resulting in him running back as fast as his wings could bring him back to the base, there would be a slim chance that another of them had already made their way to his location when they also sensed the death of another one of their kin.
Blake wasn’t worried about the strong humanoid demon army that had departed together with the muscular humanoid demon earlier since he knew the combination of Robus and Cyra was deadly enough for those humanoid demons to threaten his group.
But another demon from the second realm was a matter that he couldn’t ignore.
He didn’t know how strong the rest of them were, how many their numbers were, and whether the muscular humanoid demon that had made his and Robus’ instinct to go on high alert was just actually a mid-ranking demon from the humanoid demons that ascend to the realm.
The muscular humanoid demon’s ability might not be as scary when the current matter of fact was the scary demon had been restricted to be glued to the ground, unable to retaliate or do anything else other than twitching his toes.
However, that would not necessarily mean that his bloodline power was something to scoff at.
From dissipating his dark flame bullet to oblivion with a punch, which not only required a speed to at least follow a bullet’s speed but also a strong or abundant amount of nether behind that attack, to the fact that the muscular humanoid demon could literally freeze Robus’ whole body with a single punch, it was an ability that would seal the end of most demons, even the strong demonic beasts with their absurd bloodline powers.
Blake could prevent that from happening to himself or his two friends because each of the three of them had the individual strength to fight a group of humanoid demons alone.
Heck, even Cyra could probably fight off a whole base of humanoid demons if there wasn’t any humanoid demon from the deeper realms.
Blake, although would probably find it hard to do the same without using Cyra’s ability, he would be able to defeat a humanoid demon from the deeper realm given enough preparations with his rune formations, along with the use of his second realm darkness tendrils.
While Robus probably wouldn’t be able to achieve the feats of his two friends, the armor on his body was a shell that not even the humanoid demons from the deeper realms would be able to crack easily, proven by the fact that nothing on than a deep scratch mark appearing on his body from receiving the muscular humanoid demon’s fist squarely.
With the three of them working together, and also with Blake’s advantage as a runemaster that could use not only direct offensive spells but also auxiliary spells such as sinking the ground to help his cause, the muscular humanoid demon’s fall despite his very formidable physique and bloodline power was not a shocking matter.
So in the end, Blake decided to go and use his second option, and that was to use the combination spell, dark flame bullet to try and blast the muscular humanoid demon’s skull open.
However, to make sure even more that he would not be setting the muscular humanoid demo free just in case his and Cyra’s combination spell had failed in killing the muscular humanoid demon in one hit, Blake decided to put in even more countermeasure to make sure the muscular humanoid demon’s body stayed on the ground.
Instead of using another simple darkness tendril to the muscular humanoid demon’s body or the fiery darkness tendril that was resistant to fire but might give the muscular humanoid demon a chance to retaliate, Blake used another element that wouldn’t attack the already existing restriction placed on the muscular humanoid demon’s body.
Blake moved his fingers once again, casting more spells to appear in the demon realm. He cast two spells at the same time, aiming both at the muscular humanoid demon.
The ground underneath the muscular humanoid demon then began to shake for a split second before then dark earth diagonal pillars appeared from the ground, pushing the muscular humanoid demon’s body that was completely lying flat on the ground to bend upward, causing the present darkness tendrils to latch even tighter, and pulling the muscular body downward even stronger.
But with the dark earth pillar even sturdier than boulders and rocks, the darkness tendrils weren’t able to break past the two pillars, resulting in the muscular humanoid demon’s body being constantly pressed against the two pillars.
And as if the two pillars weren’t enough, which clearly wasn’t in Blake’s standard after seeing how powerful the subject he was trying to constrain, Blake moved his fingers again and cast more dark earth constructs of all shapes to fill in the spaces to secure the muscular humanoid demon better.
Dark earth wall appeared from the sides, pushing the muscular humanoid demon’s body from two sides, sandwiching his body in the middle, dark earth spikes protruded from the ground beneath his limbs, skewering his thighs and arms respectively, and Blake apparently wasn’t done yet as he still wants to cast one final spell to complete his restrictions.
Instead of drawing the sets of runes manually, this time, Blake searched for a rune formation, the same one that he had used back when he just started experimenting on his rune formations with the wooden balls and cubes.
It was the dark earth rune formation that created diagonal earth walls from all sides, pushing those earth walls toward the middle, only leaving a small opening right in the middle of them.
He had used it back then to trap a whole group of boars, but now, Blake was planning to use to wrap around the muscular humanoid demon’s neck from all sides, making the muscular humanoid demon’s head placed in the center of the earth walls, hiding his huge and strong body under the earth walls, only leaving the head alone outside of those walls.
Blake found the rune formation immediately. It was sitting dormant in his dimensional pouch, not being used often due to him not often needing restriction-type spells since his enemies would be dealt with using his new dark flames or other darkness elemental spells.
Blake then poured enough nether into the rune formation, making the runes inscribed on it glow before he threw it inside the hole.
Just as like with the activation of any other earth elemental spells or rune formations, the earth trembled right before the spell manifested itself a second right after Blake threw his rune formation inside the hole.
However, Blake found it weird that he could feel the tremble that was only supposed to happen around the area where the spell would manifest.
And another second later when the spell had actually manifested itself and had secured the muscular humanoid demon’s whole body inside its walls other than the head, the tremble of earth that Blake felt had actually not stopped.
In fact, it even had gotten noticeably stronger.
‘This isn’t right…’
Blake was racking his brain and looking around his surroundings to see what had happened to make the earth beneath his feet tremble.
However, he couldn’t find anything, even when his eyes focused on the muscular humanoid demon, trying to find out whether the muscular humanoid demon had actually done something.
But there was none, the muscular humanoid demon was completely helpless.
He also turned to his surroundings, but he also found nothing.
Feeling the tremble become even more apparent, Blake knew that something he didn’t know about was really happening around him.
So without wasting any time, Blake decided to investigate it.
“Wait for me here and please watch him closely,” Blake said to his two friends before spreading his wings, making himself lighter, and using the flame explosions to send his body up to the sky.
And just when his vision had gone past the walls of the second base, he finally learned what had caused the earth to tremble.
And it wasn’t a sight that he thought he would ever see in his whole life.
