Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2359 Fishman

Chapter 2359  Fishman

In the beginning, all half-bloods traced their ancestry to ancient beasts capable of evolving into human forms. Over tens of thousands of years, 12 primary species were officially recognized by the Magus Universe as the half-bloods. These included the Dragon, Bird, Turtle, Lion, Serpent, Wolf, Bat, Goat, Boar, Monkey, Horse, and Rat. Each of these species encompassed millions of genetic variations, creating a vast and diverse population of half-bloods, each carrying the traits and characteristics of their ancestors.

However, those who did not belong to one of these 12 main species were classified as hybrids. Hybrids typically had fewer human genes or lacked a strong connection to the ancient bloodlines. These were creatures that had only recently begun evolving into human forms. Their limited recognition stemmed from their less significant ties to the ancient creatures that founded the half-blood lineage.

Among these hybrids, the insectoid race stood out. Having only begun to evolve and integrate into human society within the last 5,000 years, they were still considered new to the world of the half-bloods. For centuries, they struggled for recognition and acceptance, and it wasn't until the past few decades that they started making significant strides in earning their place among the elite ranks of the 12 half-bloods. Their resilience and numbers helped push their cause forward, but they still faced significant resistance.

On the other hand, the Fishman race had a much older lineage than the insectoids. However, despite their ancient origins, the majority of Fishmen preferred to live deep beneath the seas, far removed from the bustling centers of society. They thrived in the underwater kingdoms, content in their own isolated habitats, and often chose to stay among other sea-dwelling hybrids rather than integrate fully with the surface-dwellers. This self-imposed isolation meant they played a quieter role in the half-blood community, often forgotten by the more dominant land-dwelling races.

The Shambala Kingdom was one of the few aquatic realms that maintained a strong relationship with the Magus Alliance, to the point where they allowed the prestigious Magus Academy to be built on their planet. This connection spoke of the kingdom's significant influence and its openness to the larger Magus universe.

With this knowledge, Emery followed Grand Magus Neytiri through the majestic hall to meet the Fishman Supreme—Lord Quatukan, the Infinity Sea Sovereign. The grand hall was a spectacle in itself, vast and resplendent, with walls shimmering like the ocean's surface under moonlight. As Emery entered, his gaze was drawn to the throne at the far end. It was made entirely of intricate shells and pearls, exuding a regal aura. Seated upon it was Lord Quatukan, a supreme being whose presence immediately commanded respect.

The sovereign had light blue skin that gleamed like polished stone, smooth and glistening like a shark's hide. His ears were fins, giving him an almost regal aquatic appearance, while his sharp, stark white hair contrasted against his skin. Despite his striking features, the Supreme didn't exude the overwhelming intimidation one might expect. However, when Emery looked into his piercing blue eyes, he glimpsed a depth of pure, unbridled energy—something far beyond his current comprehension.

With a simple gesture, Lord Quatukan beckoned Emery forward. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Emery and Klea stepped closer to the throne, offering a respectful gesture.

"So, you are the one they speak of… Emery, the Savage Magus."

The Supreme's voice was calm, but each word carried weight, reverberating in Emery's mind.

Emery felt a brief surge of tension but quickly steeled his resolve. "Yes, Lord Supreme, I am."

Seizing the moment, Emery expressed his deep gratitude for the Myriad Spring Lotus Fruit. Though it had been awarded by the Academy, Emery had heard that the entire Myriad Spring itself was owned by the Supreme being before him.

The Supreme listened, his expression calm, before casually waving a hand as if brushing aside the formality. "I only did what was requested of me…" His tone was dismissive, clearly uninterested in diving further into the matter. Instead, he shifted the conversation, inquiring about the insectoid race, and then led the conversation to Emery's newly produced half-blood serum.

Without any hesitation, Lord Quatukan demanded a batch of the serum be delivered to him, his words blunt and direct.

It was clear that the Supreme Fishman had little regard for human etiquette or the delicate pleasantries that often accompanied such requests. He simply said what he wanted, expecting it to be done.

Emery was taken slightly aback and found himself momentarily at a loss for words. His supply of the half-blood serum was limited, and what was currently in production had been designated for others. Sensing Emery's hesitation, Klea swiftly intervened, her voice as graceful and poised as ever. "Yes, Lord Supreme, we will ensure a batch is sent to you as soon as possible," Her quick response was more than just covering for Emery—it was a message. Klea was reminding him of the importance of making a good impression, regardless of the cost. Emery nodded slightly in agreement, understanding Klea's intentions.

The Supreme's eyes shifted toward Klea, and he appeared pleased. However, his next action was unexpected—he released his domain, an overwhelming force that swept over Emery and Klea like a tidal wave.

In an instant, Emery felt the immense energy penetrate his body, seeping into his very core. The energy coursed through his veins, swirling into his spirit core.

What startled Emery the most was the way the Supreme's energy managed to enter his Magus domain. It moved through the lush green forests, past the tranquil spring lake, and toward the dark mountains. The Devouring beast stirred at the intrusion, its presence flaring up as if ready to unleash chaos. But just as swiftly, the pulse of energy turns to soothe and calm the beast.

Klea, too, stood in silent awe, experiencing the same level of probing. Yet, neither of them moved nor spoke. Under normal circumstances, such an action would have been considered an outright attack—a hostile invasion of one's soul. But both Emery and Klea were well aware that the being before them, a Supreme Magus, was beyond reproach. After a while, the Supreme wave of energy finally withdrew from their cores, leaving both Emery and Klea breathless yet unharmed. The Supreme leaned back, a faint smile playing on his lips. Without further discussion, the he revealed his true intention.

"I have decided to offer both of you some guidance."
