Chapter 1336: Colosseum
Chapter 1336: Colosseum
Alan was stunned for nearly ten seconds before digesting the shocking news. He couldn't help but ask, "Since you are Sbernak's mother, why did you kill him?" . He really couldn't understand Alice's thoughts. As both mother and son, Lanny left him the hope of life and died generously. Therefore, Alan could not understand why Alice, as a mother, would take Spenak's life.
Alice smiled faintly. She raised her hand and patted her palm. 'I'll answer that question at dinner. You can go down and rest first. I've already told Grace where you want to go. Just tell him.'
As she spoke, the side doors on both sides of the hall opened. It was likely that the maidservants of the Bar clan had filed out of the hall. These women were very young, each of them had first-rate beauty, each holding a different thing in their hands. He walked to the edge of the pond and split up into two groups. One group came behind Alan. Alan could only press down on his curiosity and leave the pool. Two maids each wiped the towels for him, and two others took clean clothes to help him change into. The long clothes and narrow trousers all have a black background and red stripes, which is the full Agares style.
"See you at dinner." Said Alice, adding, 'Or do you want to see my body?'
She stood up with splashes of water on her body.
Alan hurriedly turned around, picked up Red King and the devil's praise, and left with large strides.
On the other side of the pool, Alice's devilish body was exposed to the air. She smiled and said, "What a real child." Raising his hand, a maidservant surrounded her to wipe her clothes.
As he walked out of the door, the old butler, Grace, was still standing by the door. It seemed that he hadn't moved. Seeing Alan come out, Grace smiled and said, "Please follow me. A room has been prepared for Mr. Alan. I hope you will be satisfied."
Alan asked, "Where are my men?"
"Their room is near you. As for their people, I'm sorry, I've been staying here all this time. I don't know where they are. If you want to summon them, I'll have someone call them."
"That's not necessary. Please lead the way."
Passing through a corridor and looking at the quiet scenery outside the castle, Allen asked casually, "Housekeeper has been here for a long time, hasn't he?"
"It won't be long. It hasn't even reached a thousand years. Compared to the previous one, my qualifications aren't enough." Although Grace was blind, he was not much slower than Alan with his hands behind his back.
Ellen asked in surprise, "Then, isn't this Lord Alice going to live for a long time?"
"As far as I know, yes." The old butler said in a deep voice, "Lord Alice's life form is completely different from yours and mine. Apart from some flaws, she is an almost eternal creature."
"It's not possible." "There is never anything eternal in the universe," said Allen decisively. "So is life."
"Perhaps, but her life can only be described as long. Perhaps we can't even see the end of her life." Grace did not intend to argue with Alan on this point and gently touched on it.
As he turned into a spiral staircase, a faint roar of a ferocious beast could be heard from below. The old butler paused and laughed, "I think I know where your followers are."
"Oh?"
"If I'm not mistaken, I should have gone to the Colosseum. It was originally a place for the generals to have fun, but this is obviously not a good time to have fun. Unless "
"Unless they want to cause trouble for my people," Alan said on his behalf.
"Don't worry, the people around you are absolutely safe in the castle. The generals probably want to sparring with your family. If you're interested, I can show you around."
Alan nodded, "Thank you."
Arriving at the main hall on the first floor of the castle, Grace led Alan through numerous doors and into a mountain passageway. The walls on both sides of the passageway were covered with black bricks, and there were crystal lamps at regular intervals. There were orange-yellow flames burning in the lampshade. It seemed to be a natural halo emitted by some kind of crystal. They illuminated the entire passage brightly but not blinding. Walking on the scarlet carpet, the two silently arrived at the end of the passage. As Grace pushed open the door carved with sword-wielding warriors and ferocious beasts confronting each other, a scorching wave of Qi rushed towards him.
Behind the door was a huge space. The entrance was in a circular corridor. Alan raised his eyes and saw that there was actually a huge stove hanging from the dome of the underground hall. The furnace was decorated with sculptures of stone ghosts. An arm-thick iron chain extended from the mouth of the stone ghost and connected to the dome to fix the furnace. Flames sprayed out from the furnace mouth from time to time, and the flames from the furnace mouth illuminated the entire hall, causing the temperature of the underground hall to be extremely hot.
Alan came to the side of the corridor and looked down. Below the corridor was a half-moon-shaped grandstand. The grandstand was divided into five floors, each of which was connected by stone steps. In front of the stands was the Colosseum. The Colosseum was spacious and could even accommodate a rockery. Weapon racks were set up at the edge of the field, ranging from guns to shields, from swords to swords. At the end of the Colosseum was a beast pen in the mountains. Now that the pen was open, three pitch-black wild bears crawled out of it.
A clump of serrated bone blades emerged from the backs of these bears, and their heads and limbs were covered in bone armor that resembled exoskeletons. They did not look like Agares' wild beasts.
"Those are bladed bone bears from Demonic Shadow Empire. They are species from other planets. These big guys are bloodthirsty and easy to kill. The nobles of Demonic Shadow Empire like to raise them and use them to punish unheard of slaves." Grace introduced. At this moment, a general entered the arena. The old butler replied, "Oh, it's Sharp Claw Baker. Looks like he wants to challenge these Bladed Bone Bears."
Alan glanced at the edge of the Colosseum and saw not only Alice's dozen generals, but also Laura and the others.
It was one of Alice's generals who entered the arena. The general called Sharp Claw Baker by the old butler looked like an orc. His entire body was covered in gray hair, and he wore a set of silver armor with crystals embedded in it. He wore large metal gloves on each of his hands, and sharp firefly claws popped out from them. However, when he entered the arena, he took off his gloves and threw them to the edge.
"This is the rules of the Colosseum. After the end of the battle, you cannot use your original weapon. You can only use the conventional weapons provided in the Colosseum. You cannot use Origin Energy. Once you use it, you will be considered defeated," Grace explained.
As the old butler spoke, Tong Wu turned around and looked at Alan, who nodded. At this moment, there were a few roars. It turned out that the three Bladed Bone Bears had charged forward. The big fellows chasing after the chariots began to run, causing the entire underground hall to rumble. Even though it was a wild beast, the three Bladed Bone Bears were quite well organized. He pounced towards Baker with his claws, while the other two fell back a little. Clearly, they were waiting for an opportunity to move.
The general in the field did not intend to fight the Bladed Bone Bear head-on and used his agile movement technique to dodge. The two Bladed Bone Bears immediately rushed over, but he laughed and rolled between the two bears with an inexorable momentum. Then, he jumped up and arrived at a weapon rack. He casually took off a pair of long blades and pounced towards the Bladed Bone Bear. Next, Baker circled around the three Skeleton Bears, and the two knives in his hands continuously bleeded the three bears.
Three minutes later, a pool of blood had already accumulated in the Colosseum. The Bladed Bone Bear no longer had the viciousness and energy it had when it first appeared. When Baker sliced open the last bear's throat, the battle was announced to be over. The three Bladed Bone Bears were ground to death by him, while Baker himself was unharmed. He stabbed his knives into the ground and looked at Hubble and the others provocatively.
Hubble snorted and threw his axe to the ground. He even took off the armor he wore to decorate himself and strode into the arena.
Slaves serving the castle dragged away the carcass of the Bladed Bone Bear, and Baker's claw cut Hubble's throat before leaving the arena.
"The beasts in the beast pen are all random. I wonder what kind of wild beasts your family will put on the pen," Grace said.
Allen smiled and said, "To him, there's no difference in what kind of beast it is. That fellow is a ferocious beast himself."
The old butler smiled without saying a word.
In the Colosseum, the beast bars rose. The shadows of the beast bars let out the noises of some kind of wild beast. Suddenly, purple flames sprayed out from the bars. A dragon-like but wingless beast emerged from the bars of the fire wave. A huge purple crystal bulged out of the chest of this big fellow. The surrounding of the crystal was covered with nerves. It seemed that it was not manually installed.
"It's actually a Nightmare Dragon. It's a hundred times more dangerous than the Bladed Bone Bear. Looks like your subordinates aren't very lucky."
Alan shrugged his shoulders with an indifferent expression.
At this moment, the Nightmare Dragon began to charge forward. As it ran, purple flames began to form on its feet, stepping on a fire path on the arena beast. In terms of momentum, the few Bladed Bone Bears just now couldn't keep up. The Nightmare Dragon charged towards Hubble in a straight line. The latter didn't even have the slightest intention of dodging as it charged towards the giant beast. Its two short but powerful forelimbs slapped onto Hubble's shoulder fiercely.
A thunderous explosion rang out on the field, and Hubble's body was slapped short. Then, the Nightmare Dragon opened its mouth and bit down on the head of the Gatu people!
Hubble finally let out a loud roar. He raised his hand and grabbed the two long teeth in the Nightmare Dragon's mouth. Then, he used his strength to pull the Nightmare Dragon to the ground. Following that, he stepped on the Nightmare Dragon's jaw, held the two fangs on his upper jaw with both hands, and shouted loudly as he pushed them up. In an instant, the Nightmare Dragon's mouth had already opened to its limit, and the muscles at the corner of its mouth were even tearing and bleeding. As Hubble roared, the unlucky Nightmare Dragon's upper jaw was crushed by Hubble, and the painful Nightmare Dragon let out a series of mournful cries.
Only then did Gatu let go of the Nightmare Dragon and walked to the side of the arena, saluting Lick with his middle finger. The Nightmare Dragon crawled up again, blood flowing from its mouth, and its two snake-like eyes rolled around, not knowing what it was planning. However, Hubble turned his head and stared. The ferocious Nightmare Dragon actually turned around and ran into the beast pen with a low whistle. Clearly, it was afraid of Hubble.
Ellen said to the old butler, "Am I right? That guy is even more ferocious than a wild beast."
