Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1462: Go to the Legacy Realm Again

Chapter 1462: Go to the Legacy Realm Again

The wind blew and brushed Alan's silver hair backwards. He was sitting on an empty beast that Mitinus had sent to pick him up. The behemoth's movements were strangely smooth and gentle as it flew in the air, and Alan sat on its head without the slightest tremor.

Below, the Reaper's Hill Desert was enduring the passage of time. The endless yellow sand continued to retreat, and in the blink of an eye, the empty beast had already entered the great wasteland. Alan did not intend to disturb the wasteland. The empty beast took a turn in front of Gale City and slid towards the Lost Realm.

A moment later, Alan had already entered the Forgotten Realm. Although Alice had already removed the spatial fault, once she entered the Realm of the Forgotten, the sky was still incomparably dark, as if it was late at night. As the temperature plummeted, frost began to rise on Allen's coat. As the Sky Beast looked down, it was passing through Green Light Town. It could see the green dots on the snow plains winding away. Unconstrained by the terrain, the Void Beast flew over many hills. In the blink of an eye, he had already seen Roddo Pass.

The earth quickly retreated, and Alan had already entered the depths of the Forgotten Realm. Mitinas had set up the Burning Legion's "camp" in the valley of death, and now the empty beast was flying towards that valley. The thunderclouds above the Death Valley were entangled all year round, making it extremely recognizable. When one saw a thundercloud stretching for tens of kilometers in the distance, one would know that Death Valley had arrived. The Void Beast directly plunged into the thunderclouds, and the lightning and fire snakes that came from the clouds were isolated by the barrier created by the Void Beast. But even without this barrier, these currents couldn't do anything to Alan.

After passing through the lightning clouds, one could see the land of Death Valley. This valley had obviously been modified by Mitinus. Many small hills had basically been flattened, clearing out large areas of empty land. On this vast land, lava rivers that emitted flames crisscrossed each other. As the Void Beast slid across a river of lava, Alan saw a few Blazing Horses climbing up the river. A moment later, a knight with shiny armor came up. After the knights stepped onto their horses, they headed towards the army gathering point designated by Death Valley.

Even though they were far away, Alan could still see a new army gathering there!

On the other side of the valley, on the tallest mountain peak, Alan saw a gate under construction. It was the Gate of Flames. Compared to the previous one at the Green Light Town mine, the gate that was being built was clearly much taller. Even though he was so far away, Alan could still see the lines that had just been carved on the door.

Mitinus' aura came from near the gate.

The Sky Beast flew over the Gate of Flames, and Alan jumped down and landed on the ground. The empty beast flew towards a large lake behind the mountain. It was a place for them to rest. The empty beast directly plunged into the lake and let out a joyful cry.

"Welcome back, Your Highness." Mitinus floated over and introduced him to Alan, "This is the newly built Blaze Gate. His Highness has just returned. The Blaze Gate needs His Highness' blood essence to activate. This new gate will be used to transform into a Sovereign King."

Mitinaston paused and said, "I'm sorry about Twilight. Twilight is the youngest of the Sovereigns, so I was a little impulsive."

Alan nodded and said, "Forget it, but if the higher kings are like Twilight, I'd rather have a king like Hillon to help me."

'"I hope His Highness understands this. Every king was born from blood and fire, especially a high-ranking king king. That's why they admire strength. His Highness was able to shock a king like Twilight before, but now that His Highness has greatly increased his strength, there will naturally be no king who doubts you."

"This is the best." '"I'm here to return my heart to Alice, but I didn't keep part of my agreement with her, so I'm not sure what the outcome will be. You just need to be prepared for conflict," said Alan.

'"According to your description, Alice is no ordinary expert. If possible, His Highness will try to minimize unnecessary conflicts. Of course, I will be fully prepared," Mitinas said.

"This is the best. Then I'm leaving."

"Wait, Your Highness might need a tool to move around?" Mitinus let out a ripple, and a moment later, a horse hiss sounded at the foot of the mountain.

Alan looked at the foot of the mountain and saw a very strong black horse appearing at the foot of the mountain. The black horse was dressed in black armor and stepped on fire with four hooves. At first glance, it looked like a Blazing Knight stepping off a warhorse. However, the black horse was even bigger, with a long horn sticking out of its head that was filled with flames from the inside out.

"Time is limited. I didn't debug a more powerful mount for His Highness. Next time, I will provide a mount that His Highness is stronger than Prison Fang."

Allen shrugged and said, "It doesn't matter what the mount is. We should give priority to providing resources for the production of combat units."

Mitinas didn't insist.

Alan flew to the foot of the mountain and mounted his horse. When he sat on the black horse, he felt that he was connected to the black horse. Without needing Alan's words, the dark horse stood up and let out a long hiss. Then, it stepped on the flames and walked out of the valley, leaving behind a bright fire path on the ground.

The next day, Allen saw the deep castle that merged with the mountain. Alice seemed to know of Alan's arrival, and the black iron gate in front of the castle opened early. Alan drove his horse in and dismounted in front of the square. There were servants to lead the horse. "Lord Alan, my master is waiting in the hall of time," said a man in butler costume, somewhat reservedly.

Clearly, this was the successor to Grace in charge of the castle. However, it shouldn't be long before Grace returns to the castle. This was the second time Alice had entered the hall of time under his lead. This time, Alice was not waiting for him in the pool, but in a corner of the hall, stroking a crystal harp and playing a gentle tune.

Alan did not disturb him and stood by the side to enjoy the music. Alice whispered, "It was his favourite piece of music back then, and he slept soundly every time he listened to it. His hair was still so soft and his little body was so adorable. Unfortunately, time never came again."

The so-called him, of course, referred to Spenak.

Alice raised her head and smiled gracefully, "Then, Lord Alan will be back at this time. I hope there will be good news."

Alan nodded and said, "I've got your heart back."

'"Faster than I look," said Alice calmly, without changing her expression. "What else?"

"Spenak? I'm sorry, I can't kill him, at least temporarily."

'"Oh," Alice said. Her slender fingers stroked the string and said, "It doesn't matter. I can wait."

"With your heart, you can already leave the Forgotten Realm, right?"

"Yes, but why leave? I'm used to living here. Besides, I have to guard the Black Gate for the Creator."

Ellen shrugged and said, "Then it's troublesome. I probably won't be looking for trouble with Spenak in the near future."

Alice raised her head and said, "Why?"
