Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1475: Warrior 2

Chapter 1475: Warrior 2

It was already late at night.

This is the Antarctic region of the earth, covered in ice and snow. Above the vast icy plains, behind the thick clouds, a fleet was advancing in stealth mode. This team was led by a 300-meter main ship, followed by more than 200 small high-speed warships.

On the main ship, Windsor Belo was sleeping with her eyes closed with the Endless Battery in her arms, until a temporary aide assigned to her by the Federation reminded her, "Marshal, we will arrive at the target base in three minutes."

Windsor Belo opened her eyes and nodded to stand up. The lights in the control room lit up, and the crew started to get busy, preparing for the upcoming battle. A holographic projection appeared in front of Windsor Belo. In the projection was a three-dimensional model of the enemy base. Only the top layer of the base was exposed to the glacier, while the rest was built in the glacier. In the model, a tube could be seen extending from below the base to the core. Windsor Belo's gaze fell on the pipe and whispered, "Trouble."

In order to prevent the attack on the base from causing too much damage, the core passageway of the people of Nelm exploded, thus affecting the core of the earth. Therefore, this battle was mainly a sneak attack. The Federation Army would use a wide-ranging attack to attack the Nelm base. When the base attracted firepower, Windsor Belo would lead the ground troops to sneak into the base's depths and ambush the enemy's control area. The ultimate goal would be to paralyze the base's functions.

The operational plans of the other bases were roughly the same, but the necessary adjustments were made according to the environment and structure of the base, but the tactical objectives were consistent. If it weren't for that, how could it be so troublesome? Windsor Belo would have directly used the Endless Battery to bombard the base.

This sneak-in, sneak-in tactic was clearly against Windsor Belo's war aesthetics, so she didn't seem to be in the mood.

Moments later, one could already see the Nelm people's collection base.

A grey building could be seen on the glacier below. The people of Nelm had used the necessary armaments on the base. If they were not close to the base, it would be very difficult for even unmanned reconnaissance aircraft to detect it from nearby.

Enemy bases exposed to the surface of the glacier did not see towering buildings. The ground bases consisted mainly of turrets, fortifications and access facilities. When the Federation Squadron approached, an ear-piercing alarm sounded above the base. Then, a tyrannical aura soared into the sky. The people of Nelm stayed behind to guard the generals in the base, but in return, Windsor Belo smiled faintly.

A Nelm general was not in her eyes.

"Attack!" She ordered.

In the next second, apart from the main warship, the other warships formed into various formations, removing the invisibility mode and rushing down the clouds. As soon as the warships emerged from the clouds, the glittering red light from below illuminated the warships' hulls. The battleships opened their shields to dodge the attack with tactical movements, and simultaneously opened fire on the base turret.

For a moment, a dense thunderous sound rang out from the tranquil glaciers. The blue and red beams of light and the fireballs that rushed to bloom first lit up the ice plains.

While the warship was attracting ground base fire, the main ship quietly landed at high altitude and stopped in the air about 20 meters away from the ice plains. Following which, the emergency landing capsules were ejected one after another. After the landing capsules reached the ground, they opened one after another, and teams of Sirius warriors quickly poured out from within.

Windsor Belo was also in one of the landing capsules. She stepped on the ice and snow, lightly pressing a pocket communicator pinned to her chest and said, "Can you see it? Command center?"

"Yes, Marshal, please be careful," Mobbit's voice came from the communicator.

"I see." Windsor Belo tightened her grip on the Origin Tool and said, "Let's go, boys, let's begin!"

In the command center of Dawn Base, Mobie looked at the screen in front of him. Five of the six armies had already exchanged fire with the enemy base, and the remaining one would arrive at their destination in a few minutes.

Everything was going according to plan, but Mobbit's brows were still knitting together, confusing Alstair, who was standing beside him. The fat minister couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Didn't it go smoothly?"

"It went smoothly, but don't you think the enemy's firepower is too weak?"

"Why," said Alstair half-jokingly, "do you have to be happy with the enemy's firepower? That won't do. Your idea is too morbid."

"Perhaps. I always feel that Nelm people shouldn't have arranged things like this." Mobbit looked at Windsor Belo's screen, where Marshal Greed's team had already entered the base. Under the control of Windsor Belo's super combat strength, this team advanced very quickly. They almost didn't encounter any decent resistance. Windsor Belo rushed straight into the base and had already broken into the control area of the base.

Here she finally encountered a little resistance. It was a general from Nelm. Of course, this general was naturally dealt with by Greed. At first, the general was still able to block the attack of the Union army, but when Windsor Belo came on stage, the other party didn't even have a single ability, so he turned around and ran away.

This shocking scene not only made Mobius frown even more, but even Alstair felt that something was wrong. In the end, Windsor Belo rushed into the base control room and found that the Nelm had activated the base's self-detonation system. Alstair took a deep breath and shouted, "It's a trap. Did they intentionally lure us into the base and intend to bury our troops inside?"

"I'm afraid it's not that simple."

Mobit said. A moment later, Windsor Belo reported that the base's self-detonation process had been stopped. The president walked back and forth with a lot of worries. Suddenly, Mobbit's entire body trembled and he shouted, "Damn it, give me the report on the Nelm Star Destroyer base immediately!"

Almost at the same time, a tactical staff officer bounced up and shouted, "Nelm's Star Destroyer is in the air!"

Soon, a scene was placed on the command center's large screen, where the Nelm Star Destroyer had already lifted off. The picture quickly blurred, and several Star Destroyers the size of Babylon triggered violent airflow as they flew into the air, making it impossible for the Federation to guarantee normal signal transmission.

This phenomenon lasted for one minute and fifteen seconds. When the scene returned to normal, there was a huge blank on the ground base of the Nelm people. That was where the Star Destroyer was previously located. Mobie's heart was beating wildly. He was sure that the people of Nelm had their own plans, but he could not guess what Cajasso's true purpose was.

As Nelm's Star Destroyer flew into the air, the outer space fleet launched a ferocious attack on Adahua Planet's fleet. After restraining the Adahua Planet Squadron, the Star Destroyer escaped from the Earth's atmosphere, but did not immediately open a spatial tunnel to escape. Instead, it flew over half of the Earth, and then dropped the main cannon from the bottom of the ship. The main cannon lit up continuously, which was the symbol of the cannon turret charging!
