Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1496: It's Just A Misunderstanding

Chapter 1496: It's Just A Misunderstanding

In Shadow Castle, Lamo hesitated in the corridor leading to Shadow Hall. They stopped from time to time, which made the patrolling guards very good. In their memories, this Great General of the Empire had always planned and suppressed, rarely appearing as hesitant as he was today.

Lamo dragged himself to the Dark Shadow Hall and faced the tightly shut door. He took a deep breath and decided that no matter what Sbernack asked, he would only tell the truth and not add the slightest bit of his own opinion.

Then he pushed open the door.

The cold temperature in the hall made Lamo's entire body freeze. The dark shadow hall was strangely quiet, and most of its area was submerged in the dark fog. These dark fog that had been materialized by Sbernak's Origin Energy surged, causing the atmosphere in the hall to be exceptionally oppressive. As long as they entered the hall, the Paragon and below would be suppressed by these dark fog. The closer they got to the dark fog, the more obvious this suppression would be. If they entered the dark fog, they would probably be extremely powerful, and at most, they would only be able to display three or four points.

Lamo would never enter the dark fog, or even come into contact with a trace of fog. After he entered the hall, he stopped ten meters away from the edge of the dark fog. Before he could even reach the atrium of the hall, Lamo ignored all of this and directly knelt down.

Two streaks of bright red light lit up in the drifting fog. Then, Spenak's voice came from the fog, "Have you notified our distinguished guests?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. I've already said everything I need to say, and our distinguished guest has already taken action."

"Oh, what action?"

Lamar looked down at the floor of his hall and said, "I received the news just before I came to see His Majesty." His Highness Allen had already brought a few experts to the Thunderwolf Clan, and he believed that there would be a clash soon. "I found out that Barfari hired an expert from outside at a high price. His name is Akaro. This super mercenary is not ordinary in strength, and his combat strength is on par with Rimian. He is an important chess piece that Barfari used against His Highness Alan."

"Then it seems that Barfari has miscalculated. He hasn't dealt with her yet. She has already arrived at the door." Sbernak's chuckle echoed through the dark mist.

'"This subordinate did not expect His Highness Allen to launch a direct attack on the Thunderwolf Clan. Your Majesty, should we interfere?" Lamar continued.

"Intervene? Why?" "We've already told them that they can act on their own, but now we're going to interfere, which would make our VIPs look down on us," Spenak said.

"But Your Majesty, the Thunder Wolf Clan is your descendant. What if..."

Spenak interrupted Ramo, "If they are killed by our VIPs, it means they don't have the strength to survive in this era." So what if my descendants are unable to adapt to the times, they should be eliminated. Buffalo and the other families have been so comfortable these past few years that they have almost forgotten our traditions. If the Thunder Wolf Clan were to perish because of this, it would be a good warning to the other clans. As for bloodlines, if you want them, you can have them at any time... "

Lamo thought to himself. He was glad that he didn't make the decision to send someone to intervene. From the looks of it, the person in front of him didn't care about the life and death of his descendants at all. Even the descendants of his own bloodline didn't care. This indifference caused Lamo's heart to freeze.

"That's it. Continue to observe. Don't interfere with anything."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Lamo retreated out of the Dark Shadow Hall. When the door isolated the dark fog in the hall, Lamo let out a sigh of relief. In the corridor, he stood at the window and looked at the neighborhood where the Thunderwolf Clan was located. He grinned.

At the entrance of the Thunderwolf Clan's block, Hubble's Warhammer Dark Star smashed the entrance door away. The gate flew backwards and pressed down on the guards. Blood immediately flowed out from under the transformed gate. When the guard captain saw this, he released his Qi and shouted, "Quickly notify the Wolf Fang Hall, idiots on the turret, what are you waiting for? Attack!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the captain's entire body suddenly turned cold. Someone blew lightly in his ear, instantly scaring him to death. Before he could erupt with Origin Energy, a saber light flashed across his neck. A short blade leaned out from behind him and easily wiped his throat. Then, the man silently retreated and stabbed into the guard formation beside the door. Weak saber lights flashed, and the guards fell one after another. They didn't even know who killed them. When the figure swam around the door, there was no one standing. Only then did Trisley wipe off the blood stains on the short blades with the clothes of a guard nearby and retracted her saber.

Only then did the turrets on both sides of the gate start to operate. The axle wheels rotated, and the two high-speed guns on the turret adjusted their angles to aim at Alan.

White and Twilight raised their hands at the same time.

Then the turret on the left quickly froze, and the tower and the people inside were sealed in thick ice, unable to move. On the right, a pillar of fire rose from the bottom of the turret. The pillar of fire blew up the tower, throwing the human body, building fragments, and turret parts in all directions. As a result, there was only one base left in this turret.

Alan walked towards the gate and walked past the guard captain who was kneeling on the ground and was already dead. He led everyone into the Thunderwolf Clan's block. A loud noise rang out from the front of the block. Several land chariots and hundreds of combatants drove out from the corner, and two of them were filled with the aura of experts. However, all of this only brought Alan a faint smile.

In the Wolf Fang Hall, the door was suddenly knocked open and a guard stumbled in. Buffalo frowned and shouted, "What is this? Don't you see that Mr. Acarlo and I are discussing something important?"

The guard fell to the ground with a thud and raised his head to shout, "Not good, Patriarch, we've been attacked."

"Attack? Are you kidding me? This is Demoic Ring City. Who dares to attack us? Are you tired of living?"

"Yes, yes, yes, it's people from the south." The guard took a deep breath before shouting, "Dark King Alan!"

Buffalo's entire body trembled, and the man named Akaro narrowed his eyes. The old fox wolf and several family members below had different expressions. '"Looks like your target has come to me," said Acarlo in a soft voice. "That's good. It saves me a lot of time. Come on, Lord Barfari. The distinguished guests are coming. Isn't it alright if the host doesn't go to greet them?"

Barfari looked at the super expert he had hired with a high salary and nodded heavily.

Alan was walking in the private neighborhood of the Thunderwolf Family. He was passing by an energy base station. Behind him, one could see chariots rolled over on the ground, full of dead or seriously injured soldiers, black smoke rising from the streets, trying to climb up into the sky. In front of him, Hubble and the others were using force to clear the way. In front of these experts, the Thunderwolf Clan's guards were simply unable to withstand a single blow. Even the Level 30 captains weren't as strong as Trisley, let alone the Killer Gods of Hubble.

Only Laura was by Ellen's side, while the other four continued to advance, clearing the way for the two of them.

Finally, when Ellen saw the spire of the Thunderwolf Clan's ancient building, an old voice sounded, "Stop!"

Hubble swung his hammer, and the warhammer dragged a black ribbon of light to lift the chariot away. The chariot's abdomen had already deformed in the air, and when it landed on the ground, a fireball exploded. Flames sprayed out from the crack in the chariot, and in the blink of an eye, the chariot turned into scrap metal. Hubble chuckled dryly as he retreated, along with Tracy and the others, to Ellen.

The four of them stood on either side, and Alan and Laura walked past them to the front. Looking up, a group of people walked out from behind a barricade that was about to be broken by Hubble and the others. Walking at the front was an old Baltic wearing luxurious clothes, his eyes almost spitting out fire. Beside him was a tall and skinny man. His aura was obscure, and he didn't seem to be easy to provoke. He was completely different from the captains of the guards.

The old man stood there and looked at the black smoke rising from behind Alan. His temples were constantly beating. He laughed furiously and said, "Good, good, good. I want to ask His Highness Allen what exactly is going on!"

Ellen smiled lightly and said, "Originally, I came to visit the members of the Thunderwolf Clan sincerely. Helplessly, your guards took action. All of my subordinates came down from the battlefield and were a bit sensitive. Well, they were a bit ruthless. But generally speaking, it was a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding."

Buffalo almost spat out a mouthful of blood. This swaggering general had almost crippled the clan guards, and even the guard captain had killed three or four of them. How could this be "a little more ruthless"? It was even more unfortunate to have a misunderstanding. This was clearly just coming to smash the arena! The old man sneered, "My Thunder Wolf Clan can be considered a first-rate clan in Demoic Ring City. It is not a misunderstanding for His Highness Alan to make such a big show of himself."

"Oh, then what do you want?"

Buffalo pointed at Hubble and the others, "At least they have to leave me an arm! Otherwise..."

"Otherwise what?"

"Otherwise, you will have to pay an even greater price. Even if you are His Majesty's distinguished guests, I believe His Majesty will never allow such a thing to happen!"

Alan smiled and said, "I don't think so. A crippled family and a powerful ally. I think His Majesty will make a wise choice as to what to choose."

Hearing this, if he did not know that Alan had come to cause trouble on purpose, then Barfari's days would be in vain. The old man shouted, "Attack!"

Acaro took large strides forward, and his Qi Origin Energy exploded. The air around him spun and a tornado appeared on the ground, causing the sky above to dim. Buffalo sneered and retreated. He was very confident in Akaro's battle prowess. The old man looked at Allen provocatively, only to see that Allen did not intend to personally make a move. Instead, he made a gesture. Then, a white-haired youth and a woman wearing a mask walked out from his subordinates.

In the next moment, a huge ice crystal pattern appeared in the sky. On the other side of the ice crystal pattern, the sky became dim. The clouds were lowered, and patches of dark flames would occasionally drill down from behind the clouds. Barfari's expression changed when he saw this scene. The opponent actually had two Great General level warriors!
