Chapter 226 The Popular Incident
Everyone went silent as they allowed Teacher Theodore to stand in front of the class. His dark eyebags were visible even at the back row seat. His eyes were heavy as he released a deep sigh. "I'm sure that everyone already knew what happened to your classmates."
The students murmured towards each other. All of them were already well-informed on what happened. After all, Bryan and his friends had basically 'boasted' what they had experienced yesterday to their group chat. It was also for this reason that Madison knew a lot of the details of what 'exactly' happened.
"Well, I am just here to inform you that due to that incident, our time schedule for night classes will be moved back while the last subject of our class will be temporarily removed so that everyone can go home early. Starting tomorrow, our class will now start at 1 pm and end at 5 pm."
"Also, the principal has already issued a memorandum that no student should remain in the school grounds past six. Everyone should go home early and stay home. This is for everyone's safety after all. Unless those cult lunatics get apprehended, our schedule should remain the same until further notice." bender
'Sigh, first week and something like this actually happened. I can't relax at all,' he thought inwardly.
During normal times, every student should feel glad that one of the subjects was going to be removed temporarily. By now, some would have already planned to celebrate and go to karaoke once the class was over. However, due to the threat of the 'cultists' none of them felt happy at all.
The fear towards the cultists grew inside them. All of them just wanted to go home early and be safe inside their house. This would probably go down in history of Fore City College. It was the day that all of the students returned home immediately right after their last subject ended.
And as for the 'cultist' Roland, he could only pretend that he had nothing to do with all the happenings around him. Although he caused a lot of inconvenience for a lot of people, he would still do the same thing even if time were to rewind. He had nothing to regret at all.
On the other hand, he even felt that the situation was developing into something he did not expect. Who would have thought that the police would actually connect Bryan's case towards the 'arson' and even went as far as to label it as the work of some lunatics?
Roland thought about it and could only come up with some conjectures. He thought that it must be the doing of the higher-ups. It was then that he realized that the police force of Fore City had now been corrupted as well.
After a while, Teacher Theodore finally started his lecture.
Roland listened attentively as usual and comprehended everything that Teacher Theodore discussed. In fact, due to the recent advancement that he had been experiencing, he could even pinpoint some of the topics that Teacher Theodore did not manage to get the essence of. Of course, he did not point it out loud as it would not matter in any way. Teacher Theodore's explanation was still right, just not direct like what Roland thought.
Anyways, time passes by in the blink of an eye.
With the absence of Bryan and his friends, the room seemed peaceful as no drama occurred until Teacher Theodore announced the end of today's class.
It was so peaceful that Roland felt it was boring. There was no face-slapping opportunity that presented themselves to him to his regret. It seemed that this day would eventually end with him just earning a little bit of face-slapping points.
Teacher Theodore looked at his watch, "Alright, it's already four in the afternoon. Like what I said earlier, I will be ending our class very early today so that we can visit your classmates at the hospital. We should wish them well and wish them a swift and fast recovery, alright?"
After the incident, their class would usually end at 5 in the afternoon. However, Teacher Theodore mentioned earlier that all of them should go and visit their classmates today. He also stated that everyone present today must go, no excuses.
Regarding that, Roland could only reluctantly agree as well. If he had a choice, he would surely not waste his time visiting those scourges. After all, he knew exactly what happened and he knew that they deserved those beatings even though Three went a little far with the punishment.
Everyone present followed behind Teacher Theodore towards the parking area. He stated earlier that he already requested a ride from the school. Normally, this would not have been approved easily. However, because Bryan and his friend's incident were so high profile due to their own 'promotion', coupled with the fact that Bryan was Councilor Brown's son, the school could not afford to slack off at all. They must show their sincerity at the very least. Hence, the moment Teacher Theodore mentioned about letting his student's visit the 'victims', it was the principal himself who decided to lend them a small bus to use.
After they arrived at the bus, Madison made a final head count and reported to Teacher Theodore, "Teacher Ted, everyone is already here. We only have 5 absences today and all of them are in the hospital."
Teacher Theodore nodded his head and gestured for everyone to board the bus. They were still arranged according to their rank, so Roland and Madison were sitting with each other, just behind the driver seat while Teacher Theodore sat at the front seat.
After everyone was settled, Teacher Theodore gave a speech on how they should behave in the hospital. That everyone should not speak improperly, and they must show some decorum. He also reminded everyone that they should speak some motivational words to their injured classmate so that they won't get depressed while staying in the hospital while in recovery.
