Chapter 237 Might Be In Trouble
After they were done eating, Roland opened his phone and read the message on his Dissbook messenger. He did so as he was afraid that Madison might have sent him a message like yesterday.
And indeed he was right.
Below the school group chat was Madison's name. Roland clicked it open and read her message carefully.
She had actually sent a message yesterday. She thanked him for the ride, and even said that she would surely repay him in the future.
Roland scanned through her message and finally arrived at the last one.
[Teacher Ted is searching for you at school. You might be in trouble.]bender
As the class president, Madison was required to report early in school.
Seeing her message, Roland guessed that this might be due to the event yesterday. It looks like Bryan and his father were already trying to trouble him due to what happened yesterday.
It seems that they had already started their retaliation.
However, even knowing that, Roland was not afraid at all. The only thing he was curious about was whether the father and son duo already learned of his involvement in both Razor and Bryan's case.
However, after thinking about it, it seems to be impossible.
One and the other's anti-tracking abilities were also topnotch. Finding evidence that could pinpoint the led towards them was akin to a shark passing through the hole of a needle. It's practically impossible unless they forge evidence.
[It's alright. I got it. Thanks!] Roland replied to Madison.
Not long later, Roland saw that Madison was already typing for a reply.
[Wow! Just wow! What a miracle for you to reply!]
Roland merely shook his head and smiled at Madison's sarcastic remarks. He then kept his phone as he and Janine drove to school.
At the same time, Roland communicated with One to monitor the five spies and that they must protect Stacey and the workers all the time. One assured Roland that he had nothing to worry about and that everything was under his control.
…
Meanwhile, at the Brown Hospital.
Councilor Brown and Bryan were eating an extravagant lunch together.
"Your classmates, aside from Jake, will be discharged by tomorrow. They don't have the money to pay for their medical expenses so they can only go home and recuperate on their own," Councilor Brown suddenly stated as he ate.
Bryan did not seem to care upon hearing that. He continued to eat the premium lobster that was served on his lap. It was only after a while that he finally decided to talk.
"I don't care about them. Do they expect my charity when they were not even able to help me during the incident? It's only right for them to go home and recuperate on their own."
Councilor Brown nodded his head in agreement upon hearing his words.
In his dictionary, there was no such thing as friendship. Only benefits and more benefits.
Bryan always treated them to extravagant stuff, so it should only be natural for them to protect him at all cost in return. However, they failed to do so, so Councilor Brown was especially disappointed with the 'friends' that Bryan had.
Seeing that Bryan was not blinded by these 'friendship' and whatnot, Councilor Brown could not help but feel proud.
"As for the girl called Anna…She is already a cripple, so you better break up with her," he continued.
Bryan paused for a moment upon hearing that.
He nodded his head a while later and said, "Alright. I don't love her anyway. I'll just find another plaything when I have the time."
"Good!"
As they were chatting, one of Councilor Brown's men suddenly approached the two of them as he reported something to Councilor Brown.
Councilor Brown nodded his head upon hearing the report.
"It looks like that kid is really working at that new fast-food restaurant. And it seems that Gustav has become a high-ranking figure in that shop too. Hmmp! No wonder the two of them eagerly left Mark Jonalds just like that. That fast food restaurant must have offered them a much higher salary than us."
"Hmmp! How dare they leave my Mark Jonalds just like that."
"I told you already, dad. The two of them must have planned it from the start. I bet the smuggled goods were also supplied to that store." Bryan added.
"Hmmp! Don't worry. We'll make them pay for their insolence."
"That kid seemed to be hugging the thigh of a woman too. One of my men spotted him riding a Ronda Civic… an expensive car- driven by a woman. We speculated that she might be his new girlfriend and that he was living off of her money aside from working in that restaurant," the guard reported.
Hearing that, Councilor Brown only snorted in disgust and did not bother too much about it.
"Men. Forge the evidence as soon as possible and let Chief Garcia escort them to prison. If they resist, then much better. That way, we can kill them and blame it as threatening our officer's safety." Councilor Brown ordered.
"Got it, Mr. Brown. Also, Chief Garcia will be sending some of his men to that shop today to scout. We can use that opportunity to forge evidence and inform them while we're at it," the guard said.
"Alright, alright. Also, tell Chief Garcia that my patience is limited. If they can't find the real culprit, then just let them help us create one."
The guard nodded his head as he left after Councilor Brown dismissed him.
Meanwhile, Bryan gulped a mouthful of saliva after hearing his father's plans. He knew that his father was a ruthless person, but he never expected that he would order someone to kill innocent people just because they could not find the real culprit. How cruel.
As if he noticed Bryan's change in expression, Councilor Brown smiled and said, "Don't worry, boy. This is only the tip of the iceberg. When you become a Councilor in the future like me, you will face things even deeper ang crueler than this."
"Of course, you must still act pretense. Do not let anyone know the real you, except for yourself."
Bryan could do nothing other than to nod his head in affirmation. Anyways, his father would handle everything for him, so he no longer thought about it and just continued to eat.
…
Meanwhile, the moment Roland arrived at school, Madison who was already waiting immediately walked towards him.
