Chapter 7: The conclusion
Chapter 7: The conclusion
As soon as his father said that, he immediately raised his wooden sword above his head in exaggerated movement clearly indicating that Ed should dodge.
Ed understood that and dodged to the side by rolling on the ground, although the movements were exaggerated they were still very fast, after getting up; Ed looked to the side and found that the earth had caved in a straight line from his father's strike. 'Was he trying to kill...' Ed could only smile wryly at this.
"I'm still not done yet," said Arthur, which caused Ed to feel a chill and a premonition of death, because of that he decided to use the Sharingan even if it meant more problems afterward.
Even though Ed used the Sharingan, he still could only catch the blur of his father coming from his left side which prompted him to block with both his swords.
*BAM* An ear-numbing strike was heard and Ed was lifted off his feet and thrown away, thanks to his shadow steps which increased his balance as well, he managed to get on his feet quickly.
Ed was greeted by his father's sword coming at him from above, seeing this Ed immediately crossed his swords above his head and held on for his dear life. He successfully stopped his father's sword, but it was still putting some force on him.
Ed got an idea at that moment; he used his Murasame to help slide off his father's sword to the side in smooth movements and then slashed with his other sword at his father.
Seeing this, Arthur couldn't help but let out a smile. But soon that smile turned into a frown followed by a roar that could scare even lions.
"HAAAAH!!"
Ed felt like the shock-wave of a bomb hit him and threw him to the back.
[Host, the roar just now was infused with tempered QI. Host may be suffering from confusion and paralysis due to fear]
Ed didn't even bother to understand what the system said; he was indeed in a state of confusion. But his father didn't attack, he felt a bit childish to use a QI roar on his son who was still bedridden not too long ago so he waited until Ed regained his normal state.
"You okay Ed? Can you still continue?" Arthur asked with concern in his voice.
"Yes, I still can" Saying that Ed grabbed his two swords with his shaking hands. Although Ed was never in a fight like this before, he was beginning to enjoy it and didn't want it to end at all. He had even forgotten that he activated the Sharingan that was draining his stamina away.
'I won't last long like this against him... I need to change my plans' Ed knew that his frontal attacks can do nothing to his father so he to change strategies.
He decided to check his inventory for anything to use and noticed he had 2xKunai and 1xshuriken. He then started to think up a plan.
After he was done he started his plan immediately. Ed threw his Murasame at his father suddenly and quickly, as his father wasn't expecting such a thing he was caught by surprise and dodged to the right. This didn't escape Ed's Sharingan and he immediately pounced at his father with a slash.
However, his father still parried his attack and retreated back; this was exactly what Ed wanted so he threw a Kunai at his father who was dodging to the back.
Arthur was admiring his son's strategy but couldn't afford to go easy on him so he instantly changed directions to the left, then he noticed Ed pulling off another Kunai. Ed threw the Kunai where he had thrown the first one; Arthur thought that his son's skills were clumsy only to here a clink at his left.
The 2 Kunais hit each other which caused the 2nd one to change direction to where Arthur was at.
Ed knew his father would have no choice but to slash at the Kunai since he had nowhere else to dodge to, he had already reached the wall of the training area. He then rushed up front slashing at his dad again, just as he was about to hit, Arthur caught the sword with his left hand even though he was in a twisted position because of slashing at the Kunai with his right hand.
However, Ed was a step ahead of his father. Murasame, which he had thrown earlier was now stuck at the wall, Ed grabbed it and pulled it away, performing a stabbing motion.
"Hahahaha great job Ed, it's been a while since I was cornered like this!" Hearing his father's words while he was stabbing, Ed knew something was coming. And he was greeted with a kick to the guts.
Ed completely disregarded his father's legs as a potential weapon and now he was paying the price. The hit along with the fatigue he accumulated by using the Sharingan and his spar caused Ed's consciousness to slip away while he was falling to the ground.
Ed was hearing 2 voices; 1 belonged to his father while the other belonged to the system. However Ed couldn't be bothered at all, he just wanted some rest.
While Ed was unconscious, 2 days passed by. After he woke up he made some noises which caused Becky to knock and enter the room.
"You've woken up young master. Should I call his majesty over?"
"No need my father should be busy, I'll head over to him myself when he's free" Ed wanted to verify his current state before making any actions.
"Understood young master I'll take my leave now" Becky left the room while saying that.
"System how much time has passed after I lost consciousness?"
[Host has been unconscious for 2 days]
'That long huh...'
"System show me my stats," Ed thought that he should have gotten some bonuses after all

"System how come I leveled up?! I didn't kill anything!!" Ed was perplexed at his current power-up.
[Although I said before that killing monsters and finishing quests will let Host level up, that is not the only way. Host can also level by performing outstanding feats. Although this method is not to be trusted as its results are not certain].
