Chapter 180: The Annoying B*tch
The skies of Colzen City seemed particularly bright on this day.
Birds chirped in harmony and leaves serenely rustled as the winds blew by. Somehow, the usually bustling streets of Colzen City were empty.
It was as if time stopped for the entire city as the ordinary folks along with the adventurers who made Colzen City their base of operations gathered in the city square for the same purpose: to watch the ongoing Adventurer Academy Competition through a large holographic screen.
Upon witnessing Colzen Academy's glorious quarterfinal victory, the city square erupted into wild cheers as the citizens of Colzen City jumped up and down in elation, pride welling in their hearts.
In the past, they would consider it glorious to defeat gatekeeper academies like Shadowglade and Orion so one could only imagine the happiness in their hearts as their very own Colzen Academy enters the semi-finals.
Naturally, the same scenes were happening inside Colzen Academy.
Thunderous cheers and applause reverberated in the entire academy as the students chanted their academy's name at the top of their lungs for five whole minutes after Colzen's victory against Kossin was announced.
The instructors and staff members hugged each other in utter elation while the remaining deans struggled hard to suppress the tears welling in the corners of their eyes.
Long have they dreamt of such a glorious moment.
Finally, after decades of diligence, their hard work was rewarded with sweet consecutive victories in the prestigious Adventurer Academy Competition.

"Excellence! They're the incarnation of excellence! Colzen Academy once again makes a resounding statement through a stark contrast of results! Kossin fought valiantly but they were simply outclassed at every turn!"
The commentator's passionate voice resounded, making their already glorious victory even more glorious.
Pride welled in the hearts of every Colzen companion student as their respected seniors victoriously marched back to the academy station under thousands of awestruck stares.
"Damn! Shye Crowley was a beast again today. Who the hell could fight such a monstrosity head-on?!"
"He was buffed by my goddess Wendy so his performance was understandable."
"Hah! Look at these filthy casuals! All you guys state are the obvious! Clearly, the two front liners, Ian Izanagi and Siegfried Lionheart also contributed greatly to the win!"
Spittle flew everywhere as the crowd passionately discussed the performance of the Colzen roster.
Clearly, they had no weak links.
Every single one of them was a monster in their own right.
The question is…how would they fare against the three kings? Will Colzen be able to dethrone them?
Such intriguing questions infested the minds of the audience, their curiosity reaching its peak as they waited with bated breaths for the next match to start.
Entering their academy station, the representatives were welcomed with fist bumps, high-fives, and hugs along with words of praise from the deans.
However, they didn't have much time to enjoy their victory.
Starting from the semi-finals, their matches would all against be the top three academies so they had to carefully strategize.
The semi-finals would be a best of three so it was impossible to beat their opponents through sheer luck.
They could only rely on their own skills.
Looking at the holographic screen, everyone's expression turned grim upon witnessing how Freia Academy's representative easily defeated the Beelhorn Academy representative in only ten seconds.
Judging how strong the Freia representatives are, the Eusford representatives must be around the same level while Aslan, the expected champion, should be slightly above the two in terms of total roster strength.
Although they didn't know for sure, it was better for them to assume so.
After all, if they want to become champions, then they would have to defeat these strong academies.
They weren't slouches either though.
Challenging as it may be, the Colzen representatives at least believed that they weren't inferior.
In fact, the most confident ones among them namely, Ian, Siegfried, Shye, and Kiin, believed that they were stronger than their adversaries.
Still, they had to prove it through victories so the Colzen representatives focused on the task at hand which was to watch the matches of the three kingly academies and develop a strategy for each match type, increasing their chances of winning.
After a few idle minutes, the loud and enthusiastic voice of the commentator got their attention as the first banger match between a dark horse and a kingly academy finally began.
The match type was once again a one-on-one battle, the most direct and straightforward type of match where the strongest representatives of each academy battle it out in the name of their academies.
On the side of Grumblethorne Academy, a tall well-built man with short straight black hair, tan-coloured skin, a flat nose, brown round eyes, and thin lips slowly ascended the stage.
On his face was a stern but dignified expression, looking like a sturdy mountain that everyone could rely on.
The man was Grumblethorne Academy's strongest representative, Toph Mann.
On the other hand, a young woman with long blonde hair, baby blue droopy eyes, high arch eyebrows, an attractive button nose, and heart-shaped lips, walked up the stage for Eusford Academy.
In addition to her attractive facial features, she also had bountiful breasts, an hourglass body figure, and a perky bottom, looking extremely seductive.
Seeing how attractive Eusford Academy's representative was, a bunch of men who were watching from the crowd couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva as they imagined how passionate a night with her would be.
As for Shye and the other Colzen representatives, they weren't attracted to the young woman in the slightest.
After all, she was one of the people who participated in a staredown with them.
Among the Eusford representatives, her condescending look was the most irritating of them all and even Wendy, who usually doesn't give any crap about most things, slightly frowned upon seeing her annoying face once more.
Still, irksome as she was, Colzen didn't dare underestimate her.
They all knew better than to belittle their adversaries, especially when the young woman was chosen as a representative of the illustrious Eusford Academy.
