Seeing that the Eusford representatives were back to their ringside seats, the commentator proceeded to introduce the other team.

Shye and the others were already waiting behind an organizer.

All of them were a bit excited, pride welling in their hearts as they waited for the commentator to call their names.

Except for Wendy of course, who wasn't too fond of being in the limelight.

Ironically, it was she who was called first.

"Introduce Colzen the crowd demands, introduce Colzen I shall!"

"First representative, the most talented priestess to ever grace Colzen Monastery, let us all welcome–Wendy Primrose!"

Wendy timidly ascended the stage, slightly nervous due to the amount of attention she was getting.

She was having a hard time believing that she was already quite famous among the audience since she didn't remember doing anything that would make her stand out.

Unbeknownst to her, the huge thick barrier and Shye's ridiculous performance against Oboni Academy were living rent-free inside the heads of those who saw it.

It was the first time they witnessed such a thing in the Adventurer Academy Competition.

'Please call the next one already…' thought Wendy as she stood uneasy in the middle of the stage.

Fortunately, just a short while later, the commentator proceeded to the next representative.

"Second representative, Mr. Cool and clean-hearted, the gentle throat slasher, the scout representative, Ian Izanagi!"

Hearing how the commentator introduced him, Ian felt giddy as he walked up the stage under thunderous cheers of the cool and clean-hearted fan club.

"Ian Izanagi huh? I shall observe him a bit more…"

"Hmm so his name is Ian Izanagi…alright then mister cool and clean-hearted, show me what you got."

A few professional adventurers murmured, seemingly pondering whether to send a recruitment invite to Ian or not.

Spittle flew everywhere as the same introductions happened over and over again, only, the words coming out of the commentator's mouth started becoming more and more ridiculous after each introduction.

By the time it was Shye's turn, it was already this bad:

"The seventh representative, dubbed as Colzen's strongest, the academy's legend, a monstrous creature in human form, the one slash man, destroyer of worlds, and unifier of the galaxies! Let us welcome, Shye Crowley!!!"

Although they were mostly hyperboles, the other Colzen representatives couldn't help but suppress their laughter at his exaggerated introduction.

They thought theirs were bad but who would've thought that Shye would be called a freaking unifier of galaxies?

Meanwhile, the Eusford representatives were not in the mood to laugh, a dark expression was plastered on every single one of their faces.

Their introductions were way too quick compared to Colzen no?

Why does it seem like this biased commentator is siding with Colzen?

Just because they were underdogs?

Such thoughts flooded the minds of the Eusford representatives, worsening their mood.

'No matter, once we destroy these clowns, these noisy nobodies will shut up.' thought Harper as he shot a menacing look towards the Colzen representatives who were bowing on stage.

Once everyone's introductions were done, it was time to decide the match types.

The semifinals will follow a best-of-three format, requiring a team to secure victory in two matches to advance.

Seeing that the representatives were back to their ringside seats, the referee pressed the button on the small jar three times, showing the three randomly selected match types after a short word rotation.

'Hmm…Two-on-two huh?' Shye mused.

Fortunately, as the underdogs, they had the leeway to wait for the opponents to send their representatives out first before choosing appropriate representatives of their own.

Only in the first round though. In the second match, they had to choose first.

Immediately after the first match was announced, two Eusford representatives ascended the stage.

It seems that they already had a solid plan since it didn't take long for them to send out their representatives.

"Scout student, Finn Sevens, and warrior student, Lev Dawson…" Shye muttered.

He recognized these two due to the earlier introduction and from what he knew, these two were on the stronger end of the Eusford roster.

If they could get the win here, then they might be able to sweep Eusford Academy.

After a quick discussion, two Colzen representatives jumped up the stage: Kiin and Harry.

Although they didn't have a single warrior onstage which was usually a standard when fighting two-on-two battles, Kiin and Harry were confident that they could win.

Out of their entire roster, the two of them were the most slippery since they had lots of repositioning skills.

If they play their cards right, then they would be able to make life hell for these two Eusford representatives.

Provided that they didn't have any unexpected overpowered skills of course.

Realizing that their opponents were ready to fight, Kiin and Harry also drew their weapons out.

A strong gust of wind along with a slight rumble on the ground caused chaos on the main stage as the two Colzen representatives aimed their weapons towards Finn and Lev.

'Now, let's see what the top three academies are made of.'

"Begin!"

Hearing the referee's signal, Finn and Lev immediately tried to close the distance.

Finn used [Blink Strike Lv.4] while Lev used [Dash Lv.4], both picking their targets.

None of the two expected that their opening attacks would land, however, they also didn't expect that it would be dodged so easily.

'Tch…I get the archer but even the mage has fast reflexes?' thought Lev.

The two of them then continued attacking, using gap closer skills continuously until both sides ran out.

Unfortunately for the Eusford representatives, the distance remained the same.

Although they haven't sustained any damage while ferociously hunting the two Colzen representatives, they also haven't achieved anything.

Hence, as neither side gained an advantage, the four representatives locked eyes, instantly plunging into a deadlock from the very start.

"Slick!! The Colzen representatives are just too slick!! The Eusford representatives tried their hardest but none of their moves reached their opponents! Will the Eusford representatives ever manage to corner the Colzen duo?!"
