From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 453 The side of Erebos

"That is alright, Elithira, but for now we will dine and rest," the Demon King declared, rising from his throne. "It is a mighty day to be gathering half of the Desperados back together. I do worry about the human worlds, though, as I am sure even right now the Vale is onslaughting their worlds. But little we can focus on right now until we are prepared for the Angelics."

Elithira nodded, her expression resolute. "Of course, but if Ty's world falls far enough, I would like to be sent to assist. I could care less what the Angelics or other universes think!"

The Demon King smirked. "We will discuss all that and more, my dear daughter. Please, now let's be on."

{Scene Break}

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the vast space of nothingness, a void of white filled the area. Soft clouds floated around the ground, giving an ethereal feel to the scene. Suddenly, a portal zipped open in the far corner, followed by two smaller portals.

Erebos casually stepped out of the portal, his demeanor calm and composed. King Griswald stumbled in after him, closely followed by the Yami King.

King Griswald looked around, his eyes wide with confusion and anger. "Where have you brought me, vampire?!" he demanded. "This was not part of the deal. You were to help me rid my planet of monsters."

Erebos turned to him, his expression unchanging. "I am sorry for lying to you," he stated, his voice steady. "But removing the Dragoon and other curses is only the first step to permanently eliminating the monsters from your world. We must eventually take down the Demon King and the other Kings that govern the universes. All in due time, though."

King Griswald looked around, noticing the other figure with them. "And this is the man you told me about, the one who lost his world, right?"

Erebos nodded. "That is correct. His world fell due to a dispute between kings. Instead of a standard discussion, it resulted in destruction. He survived by piggybacking off the fleeing demons who left everyone else to die. Tragic, really, when you think about it.

But he is one of many who have suffered because of the self-righteous indulgences of the kings that govern these vast universes."

King Griswald nodded, his gaze still wandering. "But where exactly are we right now?"

"Technically speaking, we are in a prison," Erebos replied. "But thanks to an ally, we have repurposed it as our base. It resides outside the realm of trackable time, and time comes to a halt here."

Clapping his hands, the clouded floor began to disperse, revealing a vast expanse. "This is simply the front door and a stopgap in case anyone ever gets in."

King Griswald watched in awe as the space opened up, expanding a hundred miles in each direction. Walkways began to construct themselves in the floating space, connecting to rooms lined with a wooden theme and red accents. The architecture was intricate, reminiscent of a grand, infinite castle.

"I probably have more questions than I do answers right now, but this is probably the biggest space I have ever seen... How can something like this be a prison?!" King Griswald exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder and disbelief.

Erebos chuckled softly. "Well, my dear friend, when it comes to locking away godly creatures, a simple book won't do. But in the future, I will explain in more detail. For now, please come with me. We need to plan further for the next parts that are unfolding."

He gestured for Griswald to follow, and they began to cross a long bridge. "Once we have passed through the waiting area, time continues to press on for the other universes, but it still exists outside the twelve universes, in a smaller pocket called a realm. The chances of this place being detected are next to none."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

King Griswald nodded, taking in the vastness of their surroundings as he followed Erebos. The Yami King trailed slowly behind.

As they approached a grand door, towering at least fifteen feet high, intricate carvings and symbols adorned its surface, matching the architectural theme of the space. The door seemed to hum with an otherworldly energy, a testament to its significance.

King Griswald noticed something was off. "Erebos, I see you're missing the skeleton finger I gave you. Don't tell me you left it behind or dropped it by accident?"

Erebos smirked as they walked, the floor beneath them lighting up with a giant circle of symbols. An unlit crystal sat at the center, casting faint shadows. "That's right, the Demon King and his supporters got the finger back, just as I had planned."

King Griswald's brow furrowed in confusion. "You planned for them to retrieve it?"

"Indeed," Erebos replied. "In order for more infighting to occur and for the next step in our plans, we need Ty to be found by the Demon King. This will force him to send out people to assist Ty, causing further disruptions."

King Griswald sighed, a hint of frustration in his voice. "But I went through all that effort..." He paused, then asked, "Why is that skeleton even such a big deal?"

"For another time," Erebos replied smoothly. "You can sit back and watch, as this is your first time at the gathering."

Erebos clapped his hands and announced, "Welcome!" Moments later, the area lit up with lights as six pillars rose from the ground, each marked with numbers from one to six at their base.

King Griswald watched in curiosity and turned to the Yami King. "Do you have any idea what is going on here?"

The Yami King gave King Griswald a cold look. "We are not allies. Do not speak with me unless you want me to turn you pale."

King Griswald, taken aback, watched as the Yami King walked forward. The elder man followed him around the corner to the last pillar. The stone base lifted the Yami King to the top, where he sat cross-legged and closed his eyes.

Similarly, King Griswald observed as figures moved in, taking positions on the other pillars. In the second half of the room, a line of warriors stood, their faces obscured by shadows due to the dim lighting. Their forms were imposing, covered in darkness, making it impossible for Griswald to discern any details.
