He took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as he gazed into the distance. He knew he needed to repay his debt to Fifi quickly so he could finally focus on boosting his stats and reaching his desired numbers.

Despite his progress, Cain had yet to score a single idol client. As Victor had warned, celebrities were fiercely loyal to their usual stylists and didn't trust anyone else with their hair.

For now, his clientele mostly consisted of new customers and the older men who frequented the salon. Not that he was complaining; he understood that it would take time — weeks or even months — to make a name for himself here.

But one day, he was sure of it, a celebrity would sit in his chair and trust him with their look. And that day would change everything.

"Good morning, Miss Felice."

The chorus of greetings pulled Cain out of his thoughts. He glanced up to see the woman who had just entered — the daughter of the man whose hair he'd styled for the first time.

If he could just remember her name . . . Cain crossed his arms, deep in thought.

Who was he kidding? No way he was going to remember that.

As usual, everything about her radiated luxury. Her light purple hair, which had been braided last time, now flowed freely down her back, and something in her ruby-red eyes made Cain uneasy.

She was heading in his direction, which puzzled him since she was clearly on the men's side of the salon. Her father wasn't with her, so why was she coming this way?

"Miss Felice," Jackson quickly intercepted her path, flashing a broad smile. "What brings you here? Are you looking to book an appointment for your father?"

Felice raised an eyebrow. "No. My father is more than capable of doing that himself."

Jackson's smile faltered. "Then, you're here because . . .?"

"I want to have my hair styled. There's an event I'm attending at noon," Felice replied, her voice cool and nonchalant.

The entire salon fell into stunned silence. Felice Richardson never had her hair done at Daddy's Salon. She always had her own personal stylist on call. This would be a first, and Jackson was eager to serve her. Every man in the salon had a crush on her, including him. Sure, they had plenty of beautiful women coming and going, but Felice's charm was in a league of its own.

She was a socialite, well-known and respected in high society. Everyone wanted to get close to her.

"I'll style your hair, Miss Felice," Victor said, stepping forward.

Jackson and Victor exchanged sharp glances. "Victor, I didn't know you styled hair now. I thought you only cut it?" Jackson's tone had a slight edge to it, mocking.

Victor smiled back, but his voice was tight. "I've been here the longest. I know how to style a hair."

"Yeah, but everyone knows I'm the head jhairstylist here," Jackson shot back.

The two glared at each other, tension crackling in the air, while Cain remained detached. He was about to slip into the back for a smoke since he had no customers when Felice's voice cut through the standoff.

"I don't want either of you," she said, her tone decisive as she pointed directly at Cain. "I want C.C. to do my hair."
