Chapter 341 Ruo'er Gets to Know The Truth!
*Woosh!*
Flying in the middle of the air, Noah looked down at a breathtaking scene of a woman bathing… or some might think that is the only breathtaking scene in the world.
In front of him was the setting sun that illuminated the forest under him. The mountains looked beautiful and soothing with the warm glow showing off their glory.
Ignoring everything around him, Noah kept his eyes on the shadow of a figure that moved through the dense forest, jumping from one tree to another.
'This girl would get herself killed.' Noah shook his head, sensing the killing intent oozing out of her body as he watched the figure move away from the sect. He could see that Ruo'er was not thinking rationally and her emotions had clouded her judgment.
At first, when she left the hall, she just roamed around in the sect, but then not being able to take it anymore, she decided to cool her head off by killing some beasts in the forest.
She seemed to have forgotten that the beasts in this forest were not as weak as the ones in the forbidden forest of the Tian Ren Empire; the weakest beast in this forest was at the Rank 3 Spirit beast, and Ruo'er was barely at the second stage of the Foundation Establishment stage.
Fortunately, Noah saw her leaving the sect through his soul sense while walking around and has been following her in the shadows.
He would have shown up, but he knew that would only lead to her exploding in anger.
As they moved on, Noah watched the area around them to ensure no one was trying to sneak up on them.
'There is a pack of wolves just ahead, but they are just Rank 3 beasts; maybe she can handle them.' With that thought, Noah remained hidden in the sky as he watched Ruo'er encounter a pack of wolves.
*Bang!*
"Finally, I can take my anger out on something." Taking her sword out of her storage artifact, she exclaimed out loud before lunging at the closest beast. Her sword, laced with dark qi, started slashing through one wolf after another.
Even though her qi was not as pure as Noah's, it was still more potent than that of most cultivators in her realm.
*Shaaa!*
*Woosh!*
Noah watched her battle as she moved from one wolf to another, slightly injuring them while not wasting her time on just one wolf.
'She knows that she would get injured in a sneak attack if she just focuses on one beast.' Noah thought as he analyzed the battle. 'But…'
Looking at the ferocious look on the faces of the wolves, he added, 'It won't be that easy.'
Their eyes gleam with primal ferocity as they encircle her, sensing the potent energy emanating from her. But Ru'er did not even flinch under their gaze instead she looked back at them with her eyes glowing an unnatural black color.
*Woosh!*
A dark mist of qi started to circle her body as all the wolves lunged at her from all sides. As soon as they got closer to her, several dark ominous-looking tendrils made of qi came out of her shadows.
*Smack!*
Like a whip, the tendrils started to smack the wolves away from her, while she focused on dealing with the ones in front of them. Noah was a little surprised as he watched the girl dealing with the ones in her front and back simultaneously.
Even though she would get attacked from the side from time to time, she persisted and continued the battle.
He also noticed that the places her whip touched the wolf looked weird. Their wounds were infected by her dark qi which would slowly eat away their flesh.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
'Well given her bloodline, I am not surprised by this.' Muttering, Noah continued to watch while also glancing to the side where he could see a pair of dark eyes looking at Ruo'er from the shadows.
'Should I just deal with that thing now?' After thinking for a while, Noah rejected the thought. 'I can deal with the beast when things turn ugly; this could be good practice for her.'
"Here you are~" Noah, who was in the middle of his thought, suddenly snapped out of them hearing a familiar voice right beside his ears. He looked over his shoulders and watched as a beautiful green-haired woman materialized out of thin air from the fragments of light.
He could see that her golden eyes had a dark look in them when she looked at him.
"I was looking for you all over the place and here you are…" Her voice became a bit vacant as she looked towards the same spot he was looking before. "Looking after that ungrateful little girl."
"You know what she is going through." Noah sighed, seeing Elysia's jealous look. "What are you even jealous about?"
"Hmph! Why won't I be jealous? Here you are babysitting her when I wanted to spend some time talking to you." Hearing his question, she admitted without any shame on her face, as if it was normal for her to be jealous in this situation.
"I cannot blame you for that now~" Noah chuckled hearing her words and muttered under his breath which caused Elysia to look at him. Before she could say anything, Noah added, "We will have a small talk later after going back to the sect."
*BOOM!*
"Mhmm—" Before Elysia could say anything else, a huge explosion sounded in the area, interrupting their talk.
"AWOOO!"
Noah's face turned solemn as he watched a massive creature lunging at Ruo'er who looked at the wolf with a cold look in her eyes. All the small wolves were lying dead around her, and she was exhausted from the battle.
Seeing her state, Elysia raised her hand upwards to help the girl but paused in the middle. Her eyes flashed with hesitation as she looked at Noah and said, "Go and help her."
Noah looked at her a little puzzled but since there was no time, he flashed through the air.
