Chapter 91: Talented
The items he obtained from the Tyrant Zombies differed from each corpse.
Nonetheless, the only item he obtained that was new was the Tyrant Zombie Meat…
From its description, it seemed to be something edible, but it had a 50% chance of turning the Survivor into a Zombie. It might as well be called an Infected Meat!
As he continued reading the item description, he realized that those Survivors with high resistance to the virus could at least eat the meat. Furthermore, if he managed to find a Survivor with a level 10 Cooking Skill, the Zombie Meat had a 90% chance of becoming safe to eat!
'Interesting… But it's not the time to deal with this…' Travis thought as he looked at the remaining people who were alive and gestured to them to loot their friends who had fallen to Zombie.
"Be careful, they may not be dead yet and just slowly turning into Zombies…" Travis softly said, signaling that if they were still breathing, they should just end their sufferings.
In any case, they don't have the best doctor around here.
After this matter was settled, Travis decided to open the Regional Chat Board.
He knew that somewhere out there, there were Survivors with untapped potential who were simply reading the chats and waiting for an opportunity.
He was aware that there were others with Epic or Legendary Talents that could help his Clan to become the strongest in this Continent.
Before that, however, he read the current chats as they seemed to be talking about the Scavengers and other Inhabitants that were starting to appear from time to time.
[ Mark Sol: Guys, I happened to skill a Scavenger and they can be looted. They were survivors of this Continent and the system recognized them as Scavengers. They all have decent skills when it comes to dismantling scraps. Do you think we can befriend them? ]
[ Kelly: I've seen them already. They're impossible to befriend. They'll betray you, take all your resources, and disappear in the middle of the night. ]
[ Maine: I think you can trust them if you show that your base or shelter is truly safe. I have two Scavengers here who were helping me take care of herbs and flowers meant to create a salve. ]
Travis pondered the varied perspectives as more messages populated the chat:
[ Karen Mae: Just crafted a new blade from 20 Zombie Cores. It's got a wicked edge—slices through the undead like butter! Buy this from me for 60 Zombie Cores! ]
[ Lu: Anyone else growing 'Zombie-Repellent' plants? I swear, my marigolds are keeping them at bay! ]
[ Erico: Heads up! Found a cache of batteries in the old electronics store. If you need power, it's your lucky day. Send a private message if you're interested. ]
[ Allan#5: Warning! Avoid the northern red bridge near the Gorge of Oath! A horde's taken residence, and they're not the welcoming type… Good luck! ]
[ Luna Maria: Miracle happened today! A rain collector I set up actually worked. Fresh water without risking a zombie run! ]
[ Mila: I'm getting 10mL to 100mL water from Zombies I killed. I'm quite lucky, but I still need to know how to make that rain collector. Are you willing to teach me? ]
[ Stella#4: Don't underestimate the tent you have... If you had the Shelter Gift Pack, you should have a tent and just upgrade it. It will give you Zombie Repellant effect. I can sleep peacefully after having this tent! ]
[ Dick: If you're injured, I've set up a makeshift clinic at the Southern Arena Camp with grid coordinates 115.300. Bring any medical supplies you can spare. You can also join this camp if you're good enough. The leader here is decent. ]
[ Farah: Got a tip for silent hunting—rubber bands on your bow. Quieter than a whisper and just as deadly. So buy those rubber bands in the store! ]
[ Tony#3: Don't listen to Farah. ]
[ Donald#2: There's an earthquake tremor near the white valley. I'm not sure if it's natural or something else. Stay alert. ]
[ Maldy: Harvested some wild potatoes. They're tough, but hey, they're food. Anyone wants to trade, let me know. ]
[ Shane: Anyone with pet food? Is it being sold in the store? If it appears in your Survivor Store, message me, and I'll buy some with interest. ]
"Everyone's busy, huh… And this Shane already has a pet. I wonder where he got it. Right, he's the first one to appear in the Regional Chat… I'm pretty sure I already kept up with him…"
Travis muttered as he read the conversations in the chat. From level 9 to level 10, he had to kill hundreds of Zombies and even mid-tier ones. Starting from level 10, each advancement would require more experience points! This was why he was still stuck at Level 12, and the lowest level in their camp was actually Level 5!
Anyway, Travis ignored the chats for now.
He typed a message, a call to arms for those who sought a cause, a Clan, a purpose in this Apocalypse Word.
[ Brave Survivors... I am Travis of the Drakeheart Vanguard Clan, the very first Clan on the Continent! We have taken the Blue Horn Stadium as our base. We seek valiant souls, especially those with Epic or Legendary Talents to join our ranks. Together, we can forge a legacy of strength and reclaim this world from the Zombies!
If you possess such talents and the will to fight, let your presence be known. ]
Travis hit send, and the message appeared in both the World Chat and the Regional Chat.
As he awaited responses, he couldn't help but feel excited about this…

In the meantime, in the vast Fiend Continent, three individuals, each possessed by Legendary Talents, went about their daily struggle for survival…
It was also their daily entertainment to read through their Regional Chat and, from time to time, the World Chat.
Aria was deep in the verdant expanse of the Whispering Forest… Her Legendary Talent: Shapeshifting Master, allowed her to claim a piece of land as her territory.
Her hair was a cascade of what seemed like autumn leaves, and her eyes were the color of the forest canopy. With the ability to transform into any creature she had seen before, she hunted the undead with the stealth of a panther and the ferocity of a bear.
Her small figure belied the strength that lay within…
"Mhmmm… Someone already built a Clan. That's still 100 Zombie Cores and 5 Reputation points… This man called Travis must've gathered a huge force to help him achieve this." Aria muttered as she recalled the requirements to build the Clan.
Of course, she could also gather that many resources, but she decided to spend the Reputation Points in the Reputation Store instead. For now, she doesn't really plan to create a clan… Instead, she wanted to get invited into it.
"But he's in the First Region…" Aria muttered.
In World Chat, they can see which region they came from since it would be next to their names.
[ Travis ( Region 1 ) ]
This was what she could see…
"Well, if I can visit that region… I should consider it. However, for now, I have to continue mapping my area." Aria sighed as she continued on her way to hunt more Zombies.

High atop the Windspire Peaks, Caelum, the man with Legendary Talent: Sprite Controller, stood watch over his domain.
His hair was as white as the snow that capped the mountains, and his eyes shimmered like the clear blue sky. This wasn't his previous appearance, but as he summoned his Sprites, his appearance changed to this.
Surrounded by a flurry of sprites—ethereal beings of air and light—he tended to his garden of sparkling flora, a sanctuary amidst the chaos.
The sprites, responsive to his every command, assisted in gathering lumber and warding off the occasional Zombie that dared approach their small haven. Just like Aria, he doesn't have any followers aside from the Sprites helping him.
At this time, as he opened the World Chat and read Travis's invitation… He couldn't help but feel curious as to what the Clan could do.
However, he seemed to have other plans.
"I think it's too early to get tied down by a Clan… Although I'm sure there's a benefit to this… Hmm… I should consider this after the Auction." Caelum muttered. After all, their regions should be close to each other since he was only in Region 2!
If there weren't any decent Clan in Region 2, he might really consider this very first Clan in the Continent.
Finally, in the ruins of what was once a grand city, Elara, blessed with Legendary Talent: Elven's Blood, scoured the rubble for resources.
Her appearance was starting to get otherworldly from her previous average figure. With the Elven's Blood, she started having pointed ears peeking through her long, silver hair, and her eyes faintly glowed with a soft green luminescence.
Twang~
Elara released her bowstring as it hummed through the air before dispatching a zombie from a distance.
[ You have eliminated a Zombie Dog ]
