Chapter 193 Dimensional Break (Part 2)
They were walking with the pride of knowing that they had just stopped a destruction that would have been caused by an F-Rank dimensional break, and each of their looks, movements, and expressions were filled with an abundance of self-confidence.
"She seems familiar." Raydon looked at the 5 people being zoomed in by the camera and wondered about the girl walking in front of the group.
The woman's hair cascaded down her back like snowflakes, shimmering with a pristine white hue that appeared to glow in the light. Her silver body armor clung to her like a second skin, emphasizing the delicate curves of her figure and, in some places, revealing her skin. Her skin was as silky and flawless as the rest of her body, and her items provided the necessary protection while also highlighting her beauty.
''Wasn't this my teammate from my first match? Her hair was black though.'' Raydon's mind started to wander.
It was clear that it was the same person he had met in his first match, Seraher Warden, with the title of Ice Quinn.
''Oh, she's there too. ''
Behind Seraher, he had also spotted the adorable Leas, who had blonde hair and was dressed in a green robe. In contrast to Seraher's aloof and superior attitude, Raydon was more taken with Leas' sweet expression. Everyone else looked down on him during his first match, but Leas was the only one who made an effort to assist him.
Raydon was watching these five people when he heard the reporter's excited voice again.
''This is unbelievable. This person is in fact Seraher Warden, a member of the Warden family. After she was promoted to an E-Rank, this must be the very first time that she has ever been caught on camera. ''
The reporter moved closer to the group of five people while the camera followed in his footsteps. It had been only minutes since the incident had happened and the battle had ended, so with the excitement and luck of being the first news crew to arrive on the scene, he approached quickly and asked for a quick interview.
''To begin, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you on behalf of myself and everyone else who resides in this city. If you have a moment, I have a few very quick questions for you, if that's okay. ''
His expectation, however, was not met, as the group of five people continued walking towards the black jeeps that were not too far away without so much as a glance in his direction.
''It won't take long, please. Seraher Warden, you've only been an E-Rank for a short while, but there have already been rumors spreading about you. Is it possible that these rumors are true? '' Finding a sudden surge of courage, the reporter pursued them and inquired.
Since item holders are regarded as celebrities in this society, such interviews were common and covered topics that the general public was interested in.
As Seraher continued to walk with a stony expression on her face, she suddenly came to a stop, turned around, and asked in a natural tone. ''Rumors? ''
The cold and somewhat menacing gaze that Seraher directed at Reporter caused him to suddenly freeze, and he began to tremble all over, but this time it was from fear rather than excitement. However, he was able to gather his courage for a brief moment and ask his question.
''I-It has been said that despite the fact that not much time has passed since you were p-promoted to E-Rank, you are already one of the top three strongest E-Ranks in the power rankings in the item holder academy. I-Is this true? ''
After being momentarily expressionless, Seraher's brows knitted together and a new expression appeared on her face when she heard the question.
After what seemed like some time of reflection, Seraher responded, "Yes, that's true."
The reporter seemed to anticipate Seraher's response and nodded accordingly. Since Seraher comes from a grand family, everyone knew about her power even before she attained the E-Rank. She being at the top of the power rankings was therefore not a surprise.
However, Leas, who was standing by her side, must have had a different opinion because she muttered so that only Seraher could hear while grinning mockingly. ''Till he comes. ''
Seraher remained silent after hearing this, turned with a sigh, and joined the other 3 who were waiting for her before getting into black jeeps and leaving.
*Beep*
Raydon turned off the TV when he realized there was nothing interesting on it and made the decision to go outside and find something to do while waiting for his next match.
—
When Raydon eventually emerged from his home, he discovered that Sami and the other people were still there, and that they were sprucing up the place in relative silence.
'These guys are really putting in a lot of effort. ' Raydon exhaled a sigh of thought.
He was happy with the work they did even though they slightly exaggerated it. After all, who would want to live in a dirty, noisy and smelly place?
''Ahem. ''
When Raydon saw that everyone was equally quiet and focused on what they were doing, he cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.
''O-oh Master is here. '' The first youth to spot Raydon shouted to the others and alerted them.
''Greetings master. ''
…
..
.
''Greetings master. ''
After that, everybody quit what they were doing and hurriedly gathered together in front of Raydon's house to greet him.
Raydon, who had gradually become accustomed to their mannerisms, disregarded their custom and instead addressed Karan.
''Congratulations on your awakening. ''
After hearing Raydon's words while he was kneeling on the ground, Karan's voice cracked with emotion as he expressed his own profound gratitude. "I owe it all to you, master."
Everyone else present was overcome with gratitude as Raydon stood before them, but they lacked the words to express it.
Since Raydon arrived, everything has improved tremendously. First of all, they had completely cleared this dangerous place where they had always lived with Herman's presence, and they had turned it into a place where even their young children could now play safely on the street.
Also, as a result of Raydon's efforts, the second person awakened and became an item holder, and it appeared that it was only a matter of time before the remaining people did the same.
Since they didn't live in a major city and knew the real dangers that other people like them face every day, they now felt safe knowing that there were other item holders to look out for them.
