Chapter 136: Chapter 136 – Better Man
While continuing to find the thieves alone, Max received information from the chat.
— We found it! Those three are actually trolls, and many people have reported them! The thread is buried in the forum, but I managed to find it
— Damn, they are really trolls. I will report them
— +1
— +1
— o7 good job, comrade. I will report them.
It was confirmed that his teammates weren't just silent but actual trolls. He wanted to lament to the RNG goddess. Was his rating from the three matchmakings too high? Trolls were usually only active in a mid to high-end MMR. Their goals were… Well, having fun watching people lose.
'They are just crazy who can't compete in higher-end MMR and decide to drag people down with them.' He thought.
There were some trolls who actually were skilled and only played the game to have fun with strange and unconventional skill sets, but those people were rare. Winning this game might be… impossible. The notification that appeared a second later was the proof.
[Target has been stolen!]
[Prevent the thieves from escaping!]
A beam gun appeared in his hand. It looked like the sci-fi version of the Remington in the V-Shelter Survival, with its muzzle that opened and cracked with electricity.
Thieves had two escape routes after they stole their target. And they were located in an exactly opposite area.
To prevent them from fully escaping, at least two police players were needed.
"That's unfortunate." He muttered as he walked back to where he came from. The thief from earlier was gone; possibly one of his teammates had rescued him. "This sucks. Why can't they just play normally?"
He felt anger a little bit toward the trolls. He didn't know where they were, and he didn't care. What he cared about, however, was the fact that they ruined his fourth gameplay.
"How do I report them?"
— You can open the menu and find their name. If you click it, the report button will pop up.
— Just do it from the menu!
— The button is red!
"The button is red… Yes, that's really helpful." He chuckled as he opened the menu.
His teammates' names were written on it, and he reported them all. He was asked to write the reason, and he put 'Trolling' inside the box.
[Report successful. Please wait for the feedback!]
Just as he finished reporting, another notification rang.
Ding!
[Escape Successful.]
Max sighed in disappointment.
[Target secured.]
[The MVP of this match: mammamia613.]
[MVP bonus: +10% of the total end result.]
[Heist result: Black Diamond. Value: 750 Dinar.]
[You have failed to apprehend the thieves, reward -75%]
[100 Dinar has been received.]
[Good game.]
"… Only 100. Haa…"
With those last words, he was transferred back to the Lobby. He had remembered those trolls' faces. And because they had touched him, he wouldn't let them go freely.
"Let's find those trolls." He said, standing up from his chair. "They should be in this Lobby, right? While I am kind, I am no pushover who would stay silent when someone messed with my game."
— Just stop it, Breeze. It's not worth it
— Yeah, they are probably gone.
— Let's play more, ignore them
— I have got their name. Peanut96, noobieslol616, and that ladynum1men. They are the trolls
Reading the chat made him think twice. Was it worth it? No, it was totally worthless, just as they had said. He was a better man who could let a grudge go.
"Fine," He stopped right in front of the bar and scratched his head, "I will start the matchmaking again. This time, I hope there won't be any trolls."
— That's my man!
— Fwee Fwee! Way to go
— Hehehe, you don't need to find them. They probably haven't realized that they played with a streamer yet.
— When they realize it, they probably freak out. Ah, they also won't be able to play for 30 minutes because Breeze reported them, no?
— Guys, are you thinking what I am thinking?
— Yup! Let's start matchmaking with Breeze!
A smile appeared on Max's face. His chat was so supportive and actually made sense when the situation was right. He was grateful to them for stopping him. He felt like he would regret finding the trolls personally.
'I have reported them; it should be enough. It's been a long time since I was that angry. Not even Flexy's prank pushes me to the edge like this.'
Maybe it was because he enjoyed the game more than he thought. That was why his anger got him when someone messed with the game.
Turning back, he sat on his previous chair.
"Those who want to play with me, ready to press the matchmaking together. Hehe, but play seriously, or I will report you to Biozone."
— lolol, the usual Breeze returned.
— the shameless one!
— Let's gooo!!
— [emote: evillaugh] HUAHAHAHA, BOW DOWN, MORTAL!
— Nothing beats watching his shamelessness.
Finding the matchmaking was still easy. It only took him a few seconds before he found another match.
[Match Found.]
[Map: Urban – Bank.]
[Your role is as… a Thief!]
[Target: Painting of Lady in White!]
— GOOD LUCK!
— GLHF!
"A thief again, huh? Let's do it then."
His body was covered in blue light, and he was transported to the urban area, inside an alleyway with three other thieves.
They had already changed their clothes and masks. One wore a pierrot mask and a clown costume, and the other wore brown monkey masks with dark clothes.
"Hello!"
"Hehe, hello hello!
"Nice to meet you guys! Let's have fun."
When he heard them greeting each other, Max felt relieved. They weren't silent or a troll… Most probably.
"Good luck, and have fun!" He greeted them with a smile behind his white mask.
"Oh, a beginner? Have fun. Let's win this game." The pierrot mask responded. Then, he turned to the others and continued, "I have a plan for a Bank map. Will you listen to it?"
"Sure." The #1 monkey mask answered.
"I always play casually, but I can follow a plan." The #2 monkey masks nodded.
"I don't mind either. Just give some instructions." Max responded.
That wasn't a problem as long as they won the game.
"Thank you. So the plan is like this…"
— No sign of trolls.
— He's lucky this time
— Look at the other thieves. They are looking down at Breeze!
— Hehe, he's the only one with beginner equipment and no mask ability. It's natural
— How dare they look down on our movement god. Show them what you made of
— They don't know Breeze? How sacrilegious!
— I saw Breeze on the billboard and those guys didn't recognize him? What kind of thing this is!
— They are probably casual players. It's normal not to know a streamer or pro player.
— Anyway, the game has started!
— And we just finished my business! Thanks to FreakingNoob and GlassDoor for coming with me!
— No prob
Those chats remained a mystery to Max because he was already concentrating on the game. Whatever that business was… It was only known to a few individuals and a Midnight Heist community forum thread.
[I found three people tied with the words 'I am a troll, report me!' written on their chest. Is this legit? [embeddedimage.jpg]]
— Legit, lol. They are trolling a streamer with 10K views, I guess his fans aren't happy.
— Ah, I know them. I was also trolled by them!
— It's legit, lol. They trolled Breeze, and so we tied them. Please report them so they will get banned!
└ How savage, I like it!
└ o7 you're the man
└ o7 Reported!
└ salute to our soldier o7!
— A shame that they aren't stripped
— Isn't this kind of thing forbidden?
└ It is usually, but not for someone who got reported many times. They can still log out, but their avatar will remain. In short, it's to humiliate them
└ They probably logged out already. And this only stays for 24H, a penalty for someone who got reported more than 50 times in a single day
└ I see, thanks for the insight!
Only after Max finished his game and ended the stream did he find the thread. And he only laughed after he looked at the screenshot.
"Hahahaha!"
The three trolls' fate was decided just a few minutes after the thread blew up, making the forum ablaze with celebration.
[THEY GOT BANNED! YAHOOOO!]
— Nice!!
— I knew it, Biozone is fast for a matter like this!
— Hehehe, take that, Trolls! I am glad Biozone take trolls seriously
And peace returned... Or so Max hoped.
