Greatest Streamer System

April 10th, in the Biozone Entertainment's conference room.

Today was the announcement of the Knight's Journey program. The team was working hard to prepare for it and called many gaming reporters from all around the United Nations.

It was an ambitious project that aimed for a million concurrent viewers on the Punch streaming platform. All advertisement was needed, even if that meant calling those reporters to spread this news.

They were sitting behind long tables, readying their smartwatch to record everything. There was no need for a fancy camera or a recorder, as the watch also had a recording quality comparable enough to a modern camera.

Naturally, the reporters were still oblivious to what kind of something that would be announced. They came by blind, trusting Biozone Entertainment's reputation.

"What are they going to announce this time? The last time they gathered us like this was when they announced their latest game, Knight's Journey, two months ago. Will there be a new game released soon?"

"I don't know. My boss suddenly told me to attend without giving much details. If it's not Biozone Entertainment, I will surely refuse such a sudden invitation!"

The reporters who just came by because their boss ordered them to were curious. Some were grinning as they seemed to get the leak that was spread on the forum. But they were also confused about something.

'Why did they call us for something so simple? I don't believe a press conference is necessary to release that information.'

One of the reporters, wearing a low hat and cream suit, thought deeply. John was already working around the gaming circle for a few years, someone who could be called a veteran reporter.

Based on his experience, announcing a game's program with streamers was usually done only through websites and promotional videos. Not even Biozone Entertainment would call reporters just to spread such a thing.

The reason was simple: their target market was already clear, and just a simple post on the website, community forum, and fan page was enough to spread it.

'What's their goal and what's that interesting program? I am curious. But that's my job to find out in this press conference.'

At that moment, a man walked onto the stage, followed by a spotlight. All chatter in the room immediately died down as they focused on him. He walked to the center and took a spot behind a podium.

While it was called a conference press, the way it went was slightly different from Earth. It was more like a presentation, followed by a question-and-answer section afterward.

Clearing his tongue, Mr. Taka, who stood behind the podium, looked around the room for a second and spread his arms.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for attending today's press conference. There is only one thing that I, Taka Ramsan, want to say on this occasion."

With those words, all attention was centered on him. The smartwatch on the reporters' waist glowed slightly, signing that they were recording.

"First of all, please look at this promotional video. We believe that this will… be the highest news of the month."

A large screen appeared above Mr. Taka as he walked to the side. Countdowns began ticking, showing the number 5, and it slowly decreased.

When the countdown reached zero, a video was played on the hologram screen. It started with the introduction of Knight's Journey and its edited footage taken from the program's participants' last stream.

The reporters who had seen the leaked information nodded. They had confirmed that Biozone Entertainment had indeed planned something with Knight's Journey when they saw the video.

One thing they didn't expect was that the video promotional would also contain the said 'participants' of the interesting program.

'StoneSword, Flexy, RoninKnight… The first two are expected, but I never thought RoninKnight would join this program. Also, who are the other three?'

They seemed to be newbie streamers. Their faces were unknown, and their names had yet to be revealed. Two boys and one girl, all looking like they were in their early twenties.

One boy looked handsome, wielding two axes as he killed barbarians mercilessly. The other boy looked rough. He wielded a spear and stabbed his enemies without hesitation.

Lastly, the girl seemed to wield a bow and dagger. She could react to long-range and close-range enemies rather easily with her quick movement and agility.

'Axes… If my memory serves me correctly, a newbie just rose in the Knight's Journey community and gained many viewers in his livestream. I believe his name is…'

As John thought that, the screen changed. The camera closed up to the handsome boy, who grinned confidently while crossing his arms.

The name 'Breeze' was written under his body, which was surrounded by a glowing effect.

'Yeah, Breeze. I remember him. His rising fame in the Knight's Journey community looks like a storm has taken it, not just a gentle breeze. So he would also participate in the upcoming program.' The reporter nodded.

The introduction continued to the second boy, MadLad, and the girl, LilyPixel. They also crossed their arms for some reason. No one knew why, but the three of them had the same poses and were put side by side, with Breeze in the middle.

Following that, the screen changed and introduced the program.

Veteran and Newbie, Versus!

Text and voice that explained the program rang with a background video of the Fort Siege.

'I see, the girl is StoneSword's partner to achieve that world record. That's why they invited her. Breeze and MadLad are also rising newbies. I understand now.' John nodded, listening to the introduction quietly.

After the explanation of the program was finished, it then introduced the veteran streamers and their partner.

First was StoneSword. His best clips when playing Knight's Journey were played together with a girl next to him. They achieved a world record for a duo speedrun. Thus… They became the first partner, an obvious one in this case.

Second was Flexy. An annoyingly energetic streamer was shown in a pathetic state after failing a wall run when fighting the boss. Then, he begged his partner, Breeze, to teach him how to do it. And the practice arc started.

The third was RoninKnight. The footage was taken yesterday after the others returned to their room. Both he and MadLad walked toward a crowd of barbarians without fear and decimated them.

They were the participants of the interesting program, 'Veteran and Newbie, Versus!'
