Due to how much the guide was, Max hadn't finished them yet. He only read the important parts, such as shelter and defense building as well as what kind of loot was important. In short, he focused on survival tutorials.

Enemies' information was something he skipped when he read the guide, as he wanted some excitement about discovering something new.

"A freaking huge head with 8 legs? Does he plan to imitate a spider? Who the heck designed that Infected?"

Max wondered what he should do. From what he saw earlier, there was nothing inside. Mainly, it was because the Crawler grabbed his attention. Not only that, there were webs filling the room. Entering without proper tools and equipment might be bad.

"The Infected seem to stay inside. Is Crawler the type to stay in his territory?"

From the fact it didn't chase after him, the creepy spider might be that type. In that case, it was easy.

"Let's ignore it and continue our exploration!" He exclaimed with a big smile as he walked away from the door, proceeding deeper into the hospital.

"Dude, I am not running away. Since the start, my goal has been to look at this hospital and find herbs or antidotes. It's called a tactical retreat, okay?"

The chat mocked him for not dealing with the Crawler, but Max ignored them. He thought there would be no benefit in killing that Infected besides wasting his bullets and stamina.

The hospital exploration was going smoothly. He only met a few zombies that he could kill with a knife. But because this area wasn't a heavy loot area, there were only 5 loots that he could find. 2 of them were herbs, and the rest was an antidote.

"The devs are so stingy." He grumbled as he exited the hospital. "I hope they increase the loot chance."

While passing by the first door, he made sure to be quiet so as not to rouse the Crawler. That Infected's creepy appearance was still fresh in his mind.

With a donation chat popping up, the others remembered what Max said at the start of his stream.

'It's almost 7 PM. Let's try to message her when I arrive at the shelter.' He thought and looked at the camera.

"Be patient, guys. Let me ask her once I arrive at the shelter. Then you will know who the guest is even without me telling you."

While walking, he took out bread and water, eating them to fill his hunger and thirst bars that were almost depleted. One loaf of bread filled 40% of the hunger, while each sip of water filled 20%. One water bottle had 5 sips inside, which meant it could fully refill the thirst bar.

After finishing them, the bars were filled again, and Max felt slightly lighter. Night time was about to arrive as he had spent roughly 10 minutes finding a building to loot and 40 minutes exploring the hospital.

"Let's hurry back home. Who knows what kind of Infected will roam around the road at night?"

— Sexy but deadly, yeah. No matter what, don't do night time unless you have a Rifle already.

— Yeah! Find a warehouse next. There is a high chance of it having a Rifle inside.

Reaching his shelter took only 5 minutes, as he already knew the path. He immediately entered and went to the simple bed made from wood.

Once he reached the bed, a notification appeared in front of him.

[Sleep? Yes/No]

It was a mechanism in this survival game to skip the night time and go straight into the morning. That was why building a shelter was an important task to do on the first night. Anyone who had played a survival game before surely knew this importance.

However, before Max slept, he asked Lily when she would come. The reply arrived just a few seconds after that.

[Lily: I can log in anytime. Just invite me.]

"It's sleep time, baby! Let's greet our guest tomorrow morning!"

With that, he pressed the 'Yes' button, and his vision dimmed.

Floating images of a moon moving away and replaced by a sun appeared, and he could see again after that.

He got off the hard bed and stretched his arms.

'That's fast.' He thought as he looked at her.

The blue light slowly dissipated, revealing the girl's figure covered in black combat clothes, holding a long sniper rifle and a machete hung over her back inside her pink backpack.

Her long black hair was tied in a ponytail, and she wore a mask on her lower face.

A pair of obsidian black eyes looked around her surroundings before stopping at her target, Max. She nodded softly at him.

"Hel–"

Before she even finished his sentence, Max had already bowed deeply at her.

"I am in your care, Master!"

The girl, Lily, blinked repeatedly in confusion as the chat broke into laughter.

— Teach her, he said

— Isn't it the other way around?

— Holy hell, she is fully equipped!
