Chapter 80: Late at Night with Aphrodite
“Vice ruler of the divine court, Aphrodite, you agreed to such a condition from him!”
Empty temple, Zeus roared in anger at Hera.
The gods said with grief on their faces: “I’m not all here to save you, or would I need to kneel in front of Apollo and suffer such humiliation?”
“To save me?” Zeus sneered.
Standing on the throne, he said coldly: “Where do I need you to save a mere Typhon? I have already made a plan to deal with him, all because you ruined all my plans.”
Hera gritted her teeth and said, “It’s not because you never told me your plans. If you trusted me a tenth as much as I trusted you, you wouldn’t have done such a thing.”
Zeus fell silent, and after a long time, he said indifferently: “I didn’t tell you because of your incompetence, but you would have mistaken my affairs. Isn’t that what it is now?”
“Vice ruler of the divine court, this is such a prominent position, no less than Hades and Poseidon’s position; I want to give him this!”
“And Aphrodite …”
Hera sneered: “Aphrodite, what is wrong, is you still want to marry her? Well, it just so happens that you are very dissatisfied with me as the Queen of Gods to replace her on the throne, is not it?”
“Hera, you know I never had such an idea.” Zeus frowned.
“Really, no? I remember from the first day Aphrodite entered the divine court. You have not given up the idea of hitting on her but have been concerned about her mysterious birth, as well as my obstruction, only to delay the move.”
Hera’s beautiful cheeks were chilly.
Looking outside, she whispered: “That’s why I’ve always wanted to marry her off. Aphrodite and her child are too mysterious, and letting her marry Apollo is not a good thing.”
“Perhaps it is as you say,” Zeus was silent for a moment.
As Hera said, even she was quite afraid of Aphrodite and Eros.
Otherwise, given his character, would Hera have been able to watch him for nearly 10,000 years and not touch this most beautiful jewel of the gods?
“What about the vice ruler of the divine court, and what do you have to say about this position?” Zeus rebuked.
“Do you think this position is really important?” Hera asked coldly, “The root of all positions is strength. If an ordinary god is allowed to become the vice ruler of the divine court, will you scorn him?”
“No, because he can’t threaten you.”
“And today’s situation has proved that even if Apollo does not have the name of vice-ruler, he is still the existence second to you in Olympus and can threaten you as usual.”
“In the end, this is just a false name. If you can defeat him, what if you are the deputy monarch? If you can’t fight against him, then sooner or later, even your kingship will belong to him.”
“So since he already has the strength to match the vice monarch position, there is no harm in giving him the title. At least it will stabilize him for the time being.”
Hera’s words caused Zeus to ponder, and after a long time, he nodded heavily.
“Good, then I will give him this seal.”
Zeus gritted his teeth while casting his eyes on his right thigh.
I did not expect to fuse his power, still cannot take Apollo, but this is also because he has not yet been born; when he was born on my thigh, his full power will only be left in my body, then I will become even stronger!
Seeing him keep looking at his thigh, Hera wondered: “What are you thinking?”
Zeus suddenly said: “There is something I want you to do.”
“What is it?”
“During this time, I will be with a mortal princess, and then you have to find a way to kill her.”
“What do you mean by that?” Hera was so angry that she jumped up.
Zeus calmly said: “After I released the news, she died pregnant with my child, and to keep the child from dying, I sewed him to my thigh.”
“Thighs, child?” Hera stared blankly at his thighs.
……
“Life beating in the thigh, born from the thigh of Zeus… Dionysus?”
Recalling the scene of the battle with Zeus, Apollo’s eyes were profound.
In Greek mythology, Dionysus, the God of wine, was a very strange being.
He was the son of Zeus and a mortal princess and was supposed to be a demigod.
But before he was even born, his mother was persecuted by Hera and died.
Zeus, to save him, sewed him into his lap and nurtured him, and finally washed his bloodline and became a true god.
The strength of the God of wine in many of the Main Gods was not considered top, but the status and influence in Greek mythology were not inferior to Athena and Apollo.
The biggest festival in Greece was called the ‘God of wine Festival’.
And more importantly, although in most versions of Greek mythology, Zeus was the eternal King of Gods, the fate of the faily cannot be overthrown.
But there were still some exceptions.
This was a version in which Dionysus, the God of wine, replaced Zeus and became the four-generation King of Gods.
This was the only recorded success in overthrowing Zeus.
Dionysus, the God of wine, what kind of origin would you be? Staring at the night sky, Apollo murmured in his heart.
Putting aside his thoughts, he walked forward.
He arrived at the temple of the God of beauty.
“It’s… It’s you!”
The little God of love, Eros, saw the approaching figure from afar, and his small face was covered with tension and fear.
But Eros stood at the door and loudly said: “I know I did something wrong. Do not embarrass my mother to punish me.”
“Oh, you want this?” Apollo looked at him lightly.
Eros’s body trembling, but still stubbornly raised the small face: “Even if you do as Hermes, tear off my wings, I am not afraid.”
“Oh, you remind me; your wings are pretty good-looking.” Apollo laughed lowly and swept his gaze unkindly over Eros’ thin feathered wings.
The little God of love’s body trembled even more, leaving tears of fear at the corners of his eyes but still blocking the doorway with a deadly grip.
At that moment, a soft voice came from inside: “Apollo, do not scare him. He is just a child.”
Apollo looked over.
Under the bright light, the Goddess of beauty, Aphrodite wearing a long white robe, barefoot walking, set off a long slender posture upright, a pair of snow-white arms hanging low under the chest, and creamy smooth skin could be broken.
In fluffy, thick emanations, flawless, beautiful cheeks were more pleasing to the eye, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears couldn’t find half a flaw, but only between the eyebrows with a hint of sadness.
It was this sadness that erased the formula and cold sense of her perfect face and added a third of her charming charm.
Looking at her for a while, Apollo said lightly: “Why do you think I’m scaring him?”
“The God of light, who is the vice ruler of the divine court and can compete with the King of Gods, would be calculating with a child?” Aphrodite gazed over with intoxicating eye waves.
“Is he a child?” Apollo suddenly laughed, his golden eyes penetrating the depths of time.
Aphrodite’s flawless cheeks trembled, and she forced a smile.
“Although in terms of age, Eros may be much older than you, Apollo. He was born with a defect; his mind is always stuck in the young, which, of course, can only be seen as a child.”
“Well, I almost forgot my age, and with my age, I have suffered a great loss in taking you, Goddess Aphrodite, an ancient being born at the end of the first divine court.” Apollo sighed.
“If you feel that way, you can cancel our marriage contract.” Aphrodite’s face was filled with annoyance.
No matter what kind of woman, being said that she was too old, she would always be angry.
“Why should I cancel it? It’s not easy to marry you because Artemis’ sister spent a lot of effort to get it for me.” Apollo said lightly.
“Yeah, Artemis is the best for you, as well as Hecate, Astraea, and even Athena, they are all very good goddesses, and they are noble and pure, of extraordinary origin. Who is not as wild as me slut born?”
Aphrodite’s eyes, full of aggression, brought Eros inside.
Apollo’s face was a bit surprised.
Did Aphrodite seem sad?
When Aphrodite put Eros in place, he went to her side and said indifferently: “If I remember well, you are also counted as the daughter of the first King of God Uranus, right; although the way of birth is a bit unpleasant to mention, why say you are born from a wild way?”
Hearing this question, Aphrodite’s flawless cheeks suddenly flashed a flash of unease.
He quickly explained: “I am the daughter of the first generation of the King of God, the Twelve Titans have never admitted me, and they even thought that I was the remnant of Uranus in the Titan god court, and they almost killed me until Zeus. They overthrew the Titans, and I was barely able to stand among the gods and enter Mount Olympus.”
“Well, you are indeed very difficult; of the twelve Main Gods, only you are not half related to that father of mine; the others are either his sons and daughters or his wife.”
“Soon there will be; no matter what, you are also his son, and I am naturally his daughter-in-law. The great divine court has never been a large family and cannot allow outsiders to gain a foothold.”
Aphrodite said sadly.
Apollo nodded, suddenly close to her flawless cheek, and slowly said: “But I am more curious about your relationship with Eros and your relationship with Uranus.”
