Chapter 53 The Plan To Save The *Survivors
"The male survivors are fucked?" Lindy asked.
"No-pe." Leon smacked, "All of them."
Lindy looked toward the other end of the stretch.
"Is it because we can't help all of them?"
Leon shook his head and narrowed his eyes toward the distance.
"We're not helping any of them." He clarified, "Except one."
Caitlyn shrugged off his admission, but Lindy was perplexed.
The brunette had no qualms about letting everyone die. However, it seemed like a strange development, considering that there were 500 females.
More importantly—
"Why one?" Lindy asked.
"Because there's an 80% chance that one is enough to win the event." Leon laugh-scoffed while looking toward the sky.
Lindy's eyes widened in understanding.
"There's a reward for killing them; I'd bank on multiple people massacring them at 11 am sharp." He continued.
"Even if they didn't, transporting them here in two hours is impossible.
It'd take two hours for a normal person to jog here if they didn't stop.
It's a shame, but we can do nothing about it."
"If the gods didn't give me gifts for days yesterday, I'd be inclined to say they were the worst." Lindy remarked hesitantly.
"They are the worst. You don't have to appease the gods; just keep them entertained." Leon laughed. "The gods don't want your praise. They want your body, blood, and murderous side on a rampage."
"Well, I'm happy to give them all of those things on a recording." Lindy scoffed.
"I'm not giving them anything." Caitlyn growled, "All three are reserved for my man."
"Woah, calm your tits." Lindy replied, "I said on a recording. I'm getting freaky with Leon; if I can get gifts while I'm at it, why not?"
Leon reached up from his back harness to ruffle Caitlyn's hair.
Then he reached around her side to pinch Lindy lovingly.
"Thank you, Caitlyn. I'll use you ruthlessly to my utmost pleasure." Leon said lovingly, causing her to blush and melt away.
"And that's my girl, Lindy. If we can't stop them from watching us, we might as well get gifts." He added with a grin.
"Hell yeah!" Lindy exclaimed.
"Alright, let's go down and regroup with the others." Leon requested.
Caitlyn smoothly gilded downward. With three people, she could fly unfettered. She was flying, Lindy was on a rollercoaster, and Leon was riding a dragon. Everyone was a winner.
When the group landed, Cynthia greeted them.
"Sir Traxler, Lady Crestfall, Lady Mira, I'm sure you already have a plan, but believe I've located a possible means of transporting all female survivors."
The three were stunned. Lindy opened and shut her mouth awkwardly.
"We planned to let them die because we didn't have a solution, so we'll be grateful to receive one." Leon said with a straight face.
His blunt answer shocked countless people; Cynthia wasn't one of them.
"That's the smart move I still recommend." She replied emotionlessly.
"However, I believe this unique situation gives us something we can use."
…
On the south side of Kaskmont, the city leading to Lammox, 2,034 people were staring at the dirt road before them nervously.
Five hundred men were in a green barrier. Five hundred men were in a blue barrier. Lastly, 1,034 male and female candidates were in a yellow barrier.
Each was preparing to move to the Lemmox Sanctuary in ten minutes.
To their right was a massive wall of city wreckage and a black cloud of smoke billowing from the other side.
On their left was the same scene with a different texture of debris.
They couldn't ignore the post-apocalyptic hellscape if they tried. If the people closed their eyes, they could hear screeches, howls, and roars in the distance.
Their only refuge was the road in front of them.
It was a simple dirt road with no barriers. However, they knew that it wouldn't be so simple.
"Wait! What is that!?" A man cried.
"The event doesn't start for ten minutes! I thought they said no one would be on this road for two hours!" A woman cried.
Everyone watched a massive cloud of dust create a mirage-like atmosphere on the road before them.
"Wait… are those… trucks?" A man with a scruffy beard asked.
"Yeah! Those are totally fuckin' trucks! There's even a fuckin' bus, man!" A lanky man with a neckbeard said while slapping the man's shoulder.
"Are we saved?" A mortal woman with shaggy brown hair asked.
"Are we saved? Are you kidding? We're cattle!" Another woman with a business suit snapped.
"Then why are they coming here with so many vehicles?"
There were ten buses, fifteen mover trucks, and ten pickup trucks barrelling down hell's highway at full speed.
There were now only seven minutes until all hell broke loose.
Leon was sitting in the back of a pickup truck. He was surrounded by beautiful women and had an amused expression on his face.
"This is the first time driving together!" Caitlyn squealed excitedly, "I've always dreamed of this day coming true."
Kazz scoffed with a smile on her face. "Fuckin' humans."
Caitlyn ignored her and kept hugging him. He smiled and hugged him back.
Cynthia's plan was simple. There were thousands of vehicles in Lemmox, and none could be operated because they were closed in by cars and wreckage. Move the wreckage, and they could use the cars.
It was simple but easy to forget since vehicles were useless with the amount of wreckage. Leon instantly agreed.
Lindy dispatched teams with high mobility to scour the area and retrieve vehicles within an hour and a half.
Luckily, the group found a moving company, and their little bunny girl waltzed in and stole all of them.
Tricksie had an extremely useful power that, like Lindy, was incomprehensible to get with a normal answer. Lindy couldn't wait until Leon saw it.
Caitlyn and Leon simply searched for buses from the air and then carried them.
The pickup trucks took the longest to procure, despite being everywhere. People had to work to clear the wreckage and move them. It was terrible.
It was a fast-paced operation that gave them enough time to make it to the survivors before the impending massacre began.
"I think they're cute." Mindy giggled with twitching cat ears.
"I agree. That woman's an inspiration to us all." Tricksie said with a warm smile. Her bunny ears twitched in approval as she affirmed Mindy's statement.
Kira looked at both women's animal ears with a jealous expression.
She kept mumbling, "Not right now, Kira. No one will think you're cute if you come out so shameless. The time has to be right."
The beast woman ignored the strange woman.
Lindy wasn't in the truck bed. She was in another truck with Quinn, Foxy, Cynthia, and Phan on the other side of the road.
The reason that Leon hot tubbed with the five beast women was simple.
He had never heard of a beast woman before, but the first moment he saw them, he decided he wanted to charm them into his harem to play with their ears.
The reason he was traveling with them was equally simple: they were fucking terrifying.
Tricksie, especially, was excessively dangerous. So he wanted to get on her good side, so he didn't kill her as a safety precaution.
The only exception to the group was Mindy, who was weak but extremely dangerous when using her charm power correctly.
He needed to keep her safe and promise they'd pick up her sister if she were alive.
Leon laced his fingers and stretched his arm.
"Okay, let's get this over with." He yawned as the truck slowed down.
"Aren't you… at least a little anxious to tell seven hundred male superpeople to fuck off?" Kira asked.
"Nope." Leon replied with a smile.
"No, I mean… don't you feel a little bad about it?" The blonde clarified.
"Nope." He affirmed.
"Nope. We have seventy superwomen and a Lindy to do a one Caitlyn job." Leon replied lazily, "If anyone can defeat us, they deserve it."
"But she's still one person against a thousand people with superpowers. That's chaotic. How do you handle that?" Kira asked in perplexion.
Leon gave her a slight smile. "Trauma."
After saying those words, he hopped off the back of the truck, helped Caitlyn down, and began moving toward the barrier. Caitlyn jumped out gracefully without her wings.
Kazz laughed in amazement. "Well, alright then. Fuck yeah."
She hopped off as well with the vibe of a mercenary thrilled to get in the action.
"Let's gooooooooo!" Tricksie yelled while hopping off, leaving Kira and Mindy behind as discussed.
Everyone was ready to get this party underway.
