Chapter 73 Is There A Problem?
"Please, I can't die like this." She reached out, but no one dared to spare another look her way while she teared up.
Pesa stopped in her tracks, her hands akimbo. "You must think you could flaunt the rules, but need I remind you, your choice affects where you belong!"
Squatting, she turned her sole attention to her first victim, "you have a great deal of stamina to still be conscious after that little bleeding you sustained."
Piteia forced her head to her right to avoid Pesa's gaze.
"What's the point of doing that, if you've already been caught on my web?" Pesa whispered with a disturbing smile.
Tsk!
Tsk!
Tsk!
Pesa shook her head, "who in their right senses wears this sort of shade to an arena? What were you trying to do, fight your way to the top while looking spotless?"
She spat in disgust at the white dress now soiled in Piteia's blood.
Getting to her feet, she stomped down on Piteia's stomach so she had her back on the floor.
Applying a much harder force by grounding with her wedge and making a 180° turn from the left to the right and back again.
Piteia let out another scream in pain as she could feel the pressure on her rib cage.
Crrk!
Even after listening to that bit of snapping, she gave another chance at continuing.
Ccrkk!
Gasp!
The murmurs in the crowd continued.
"She is almost as monstrous as the last set who had won." One of the harem members made a side comment to another closest to her.
"They are dead, although they might have lived if only they could voice out they give up."
"Yet that stupid one cries for help instead." Another countered and facepalmed.
Raising her leg, she revealed a little black that protracted from her heels, "I hate to waste my Sux!"
The squeaks continued as Piteia tried once more to protest and speak on her behalf, but it was too late.
Stomping back down, she stabbed Piteia's chest. 'Not much of a talker, I see.'
Piteia had been too shocked to react before her death and had her eyes still wide open and mixed with anguish.

Pulling out her shoe with a bit of difficulty, Pesa exhaled and turned a blind eye to what she had just done. She needed all the duels she could participate in to win the deal set by Hisha.
Avina trembled as she witnessed Pesa approaching with a dangerous mission. "Please don't kill me."
'What sort of guilt trap are you trying to play on me?' Pesa tilted her head, pretending to reconsider her actions.
Hisha edged closer, curious about what Pesa had in mind. 'She wouldn't do it, there are so many things at stake.'
[That is correct, her supposed freedom depends on these duels]
"The moment you chose to join the other, you signed your death sentence, one I would happily oblige by giving." Pesa threatened as she leaned forward with a grin.
"I give up! I give up!!!!" Avina screamed at the top of her lungs, finally remembering the one thing she could have done earlier.
Avina let out a chuckle, her hopes placed on the fact the least she would have to lose is her mark identifying her as a harem member.
'That's right, I could marry and still have a good life outside the citadel and with my people.' Avina thought with a smile on her face.
"You have no more hold on me, now release me!"
Pesa smiled and took a step back, knowing she couldn't allow that to have a hold on what she planned on doing in the end.
Yagami watched with a smile, she hoped to have a duel with this unpredictable Fay and see who would be victorious.
Her fox ears pricked to the subtle change in the wind and could easily tell something was amiss.
'Snap your neck!' Pesa commanded while coldly conveying the information through the glow in her blue eyes.
Reluctantly, Avina's hands trembled as they raised towards her head until they held both sides tightly.
[My, my... how cold, even for me]
'Shhhh!'
Kritz had wanted to intervene but was held back when he looked to Hisha for permission but all he got was a shake of his lord's head and a stern face.
The rules had clearly stated it was up to the latter to decide what they would do to the opposing team.
Exhaling, Kritz nodded his head and straightened his posture, he wouldn't allow anything to sway him after what he had witnessed.
Forcefully bending her head to the side, Avina cried knowing she had no chance of fighting nor did she choose the right partner.
'I shouldn't have listened to that foolish siren, now look what hap–'
Snap!
Thud!
Avina's body dropped loudly whilst biting her tongue in the process.

"Pesa Jynx wins the first round!" Kritz announces in a loud voice.
There was total silence with the only one cheering for the victory being Alta with Solara and Zui whistling so they were tagged with the overly hyperactive succubus.
As expected, Hisha stared ahead to witness the tournament interface open up.
[Duel: 6]
[Number of possible harems participating: 18]
[Victories: 2]
[Points accumulated during the tournament: 2000]
This point was more than what Hisha had gotten with one duel in the last tournament.
With a smug look on his face, Hisha cast his eyes on Pesa who yawned once more, uninterested in what she had done.
[Ability: Extraction]
Pesa let out a sigh when she noticed her ability had been taken once more.
'In the end, I still need to participate in all this crap to gain my freedom.' Pesa shook her head as she made her way back to her space among the rest.
Mich had his feet involuntarily drumming on the floor, concerned about the sort of harem that flocked around Hisha.
'What if he knows? None of my soldiers returned nor did I get any word sent from the mysterious group who had given the letter.'
His eyes searched the floor in hopes of finding answers to the main reason he felt as though Hisha was reserving something sinister for him after the tournament.
'No, I can't be present till this tournament ends, I need to think of something quickly!' He gave a light nod to his thoughts.
Getting to his feet, the remaining tribal chief's attention was drawn to him and so was Hisha.
[It would seem that the Merchief is a little agitated about something... hmm... I wonder what it might be...]
HTC gave a suggestive implication to what Mich planned on doing.
Hisha narrowed his eyes, knowing full well what it meant and why Mich was at his toes.
"Is there a problem?" Hisha growled in a low deep voice as his eyes glowed–ready to exact a bit of revenge if he was provoked.
Mich sensed a drastic change in his lord's aura and gulped. Internally regretting taking a step too far without consulting first.
"No problem, Lord Hisha." He shook his head and forced a grin.
Hisha narrowed his eyes and forced him back to sit, feeling the need to show a bit of his ability to the one who could disregard him in search of a stronger source.
He knew it wasn't possible to be so confident in attacking him if he didn't have some sort of backing and that he could already guess the culprit.
Mich groaned in pain when he tried to adjust his sitting position to no avail.
"How about you choose the next?" Hisha offered with a ruse smile, easing his hold on Mich.
Mich let out a gasp of relief and was forced to oblige. "Of course, I will, my lord."
Giving a slight bow, raising his head, he watched as the silver cup materialized in front of him.
Hisha gestured with his brows, urging him to dip his hand in it to pick the next three.
Doing as he had been directed, Mich pulled out three pieces of paper which were swiped from his hand by Kritz.
'You loathful assistant!' Mich spat out in disdain.
The wicked smirk on his lips made him question what Kritz had seen when he briefly glanced at the name.
"Divei Fic, Lona Poxe, and Stella Davis." He announced.
The first harem that had been mentioned was one of his tribe's mermaids who were chosen just like the rest.
This selection had been a blow to his tribe since she had fit into the criteria for Hisha's harem and a loss to the merfolks.
'What exactly are you planning?' Mich narrowed his eyes at Kritz who had his attention on the arena just like everyone else after him calling out for the three picks.
