Chapter 113 - Since I Am An Adventurer
[Every continent has one, but this continent was special. Thus, I have one sister here. Your wish should be granted. Set her free.]
The voice said, enlightening Ellena a bit from her curiosity.
"And if you're just joking or playing me, I will destroy your sister. Aaron is important to me and if I discover that you're not honest with me, I will come back here and destroy this place."
The voice was silent at the blunder of Ellena. Though it was disrespectful to talk to her in that manner, she could only sigh as she doesn't have any choice but to rely on this lady.
[I understand. I am honest with you. But a reminder, don't tell your anomaly friend know about this, or he'll be damaged.]
"What do you mean?" Ellena asked in confusion.
[Your system you're talking about is just like us, my sisters, but in some aspects, we're different. If you mention us to him or tell him about getting a body in a different path apart from the Evolution Tree, he'll be damaged.]
That word from the voice made Ellena ponder more. What was the voice talking about? It was making her head hurt with extreme thinking.
"So, you mean… You know him?" Ellena asked.
[Of course.]
Ellena sighed and regained her composure after hearing it.
"If you say so, I will do it. Aaron is too important to me and I can't waste it or even harm him. Thank you." Ellena said, her head bowing into nowhere.
After it, Ellena wondered what she should do with the bandits on the floor.
She ventured her eyes around the cave and saw a long rope, and just seeing it, an idea came into her mind.
She picked the rope and tied the bandits' hands and continued knotting it connecting with just one rope.
She had already tied the 25 people, and after that, she forcedly woke them up.
"Rise and shine, scums. We're about to go on a journey," she kicked and pulled the rope violently, making them groan and eventually wake up.
When they woke up, they hysterically panicked at seeing Ellena and remembered the terror they felt fighting her.
And noticing that they were tied, they sighed and realized that they had just been captured.
"That's right, I will surrender you to the authority. You see, I am an adventurer and it is my duty to do some good deeds."
And after speaking, no one retorted as if they had just lost their life, literally making a lifeless expression. Even the boss didn't make any sound as he was already contented with numbness over his body.
"Come here."
And then, they started walking outside the cave, heading to the carriage. And just after that, when they run into another knocked-out bandit, they are immediately tied and pulled together by Ellena.
"If you do something funny, I won't think twice about hitting you with another lightning bolt." Ellena threatened.
"Yes, ma'am!" All of them answered as they were agitated about what would happen if they defied her.
In their eyes, she's a monster.
As Ellena dragged the bandits down to the direction where the carriage was, she realized one thing that she hadn't done.
"Ah… I didn't use the title! I didn't expect them to be that weak to easily defeat them. It's not bad I guess," she rationalized her flaws.
After a few minutes, they finally arrived at the carriage. Aaron was dumbfounded the time he saw the line of bandits, tied together with one rope.
"Did you do this?" he asked, but in return, Ellena just smiled mysteriously.
Thalia was also surprised and just didn't mind the cover Ellena was wearing. She just looked at Ellena with admiration and even gulped down her saliva, being speechless.
She didn't expect the bandits to be this many. In fact, it is common to have only 20 numbers or below since they are just new.
How did she know they were new? It's because these kinds of bandits that make their base in a less secluded place, more to be precise, near a city, are weak since they can't easily enter random mountains.
They don't choose random mountains because they don't know who was camping there. Much worse, they must blend with a bandit group if ever there is one, and that would be at the bottom of that group.
They don't want it. Why would they risk their chance of ruling if they convert into servants of other groups?
Thalia sighed after a few moments of sinking into the scene she was witnessing.
"Big Sister, you surprised me with this number. For sure, you will be rewarded by this deed."
Ellena smiled. "Not that I won't get rewarded. Even if I just leave them here, I will still be rewarded."
"What do you mean?" Aaron asked, and just after him, Thalia asked the same question.
"It's because I will do this."
Suddenly, an explosion of energy coming from Ellena pressured the bandits. It was the same dreadful lightning that hurt them earlier. And as they were shaking in fear from remembering it, Aaron finally realized it.
'So she did not use her title? I guess these bandits are weak and still new in this field.' Aaron thought as he observed things one more time.
When everyone was already not composed, being overwrought, Ellena removed her mask and revealed her black hair.
Everyone suddenly spaced off, looking at her with more fear, points started to emerge the next second.
Aaron just unconsciously shook his head and started collecting the points. But while doing it, a smile curled on his lips as he was enjoying collecting points too.
Thalia was just speechless again. She didn't know what to say as she was watching Ellena turn into a cursed child.
Minutes later, the effect subsided and Ellena turned her hair back to blue.
"That makes it," she mumbled then covered herself again.
When she realized that it was stupid of her not to cover Thalia, she took out a cloth and threw it at Thalia.
"Cover yourself. Better late than never."
Ellena approached the bandits who were just coming back to their senses, but with another threat on her hands again.
"You will surrender and will not tell a soul about me," Ellena mumbled to them with a creepy tone, wickedly threatening their souls.
"Yes Ma'am!"
