Lucifer was mildly surprised by how well Li Yan was taking everything in, but more than that, he was irked by her phrasing.

He cleared up the air before getting back to the matter at hand.

"So, as I was saying, the reason why I have borrowed your time today is because I need you to play the part of the sole heir of the Devildukes. After I kill off everyone else in the family, I will need you to take the reins of future household operations. Lucifer unloaded a shitton of sensitive information, and he did so with a casual look on his face.

From Li Yan's perspective, it was almost like her older brother saw everything as set in stone. Which, in the end, led to her bobbing her head a little. "I will do it," she said.
