Chapter 664: Chapter 670: I Never Lie! (Second Update)

This round of Heavenly Tribulation was a bit terrifying, but thankfully, Yang Zhen, with the fifth Dragon Elephant of his Dragon Elephant Prison Shaking Body as his backing, did not have to painfully plunge himself into the lava during the tribulation.

Furious thunderbolts raged and roared around Yang Zhen. Que’er was as pale as a ghost, her disbelieving face fixed on Yang Zhen.

Traditionally, when Heavenly Tribulation arrived, regardless of whose tribulation it was, the entire Beiqi Clan would be thrown into chaos. Many of their ancestors had perished under the tribulation. This was something almost everyone in the Beiqi Clan had witnessed or experienced firsthand.

As soon as the Heavenly Tribulation began, every member of the demonic race would be terrified by this nemesis-like existence.

However, this terrifying Heavenly Tribulation, which struck fear into every member of the Beiqi Clan, seemed to be nothing more than a bathhouse to Yang Zhen. He was incredibly relaxed. Que’er and the rest of the Beiqi Clan’s departed souls, who had been glaring at Yang Zhen ferociously, were now completely stunned. Looking at Yang Zhen, their faces were painted with pure terror.

Kaboom!

The terrifying thunderbolts, like raging dragons, filled the surrounding air with endless thunder elemental energy. Even the dreadful lava pool began to boil, with turbulent flames rising to the sky. The thunder elemental energy mixed with the fire elemental energy wreaked havoc on the entire space.

Que’er was pale, her face soaked with cold sweat. She opened her mouth but no words came out.

The furious thunderbolts crashed down on Yang Zhen. His skin crumbled inch by inch, blood oozing everywhere. He was instantly turned into an entirely blood-soaked figure.

Even with the horrifying power of Yang Zhen’s fifth Dragon Elephant of his Dragon Elephant Prison Shaking Body, he was severely injured. This did not bode well for those practitioners who only trained in True Essence and had never tempered their bodies.

The punishment of heaven and earth could annihilate everything in existence. Yang Zhen glanced at the raging thundercloud and laughed heartily, sprang toward the most excited departed soul of the Beiqi Clan’s ancestor.

“Come here, you old geezer! You wanted to absorb my Three-Yang Fire, didn’t you, Sao Saint? Well, now you get not only the Three-Yang Fire, but also the Thunder Yang Fire. Don’t run away! Come here, let’s have a chat!”

Yang Zhen pursued the deepest-colored ancestor’s departed soul of the Beiqi Clan, causing chaos throughout the Soul Tomb. The elder’s face turned ghastly pale in fright, and in his panic, he even stumbled into others.

The remaining ancestors’ departed souls of the Beiqi Clan, seeing this, dared not let Yang Zhen come any closer and quickly evaded him. Forget about absorbing Yang Zhen’s Three-Yang Fire, they didn’t even want to stay in the Soul Tomb anymore.

Someone let out a roar and desperately rammed into the hundreds of saint-class prohibitions surrounding the Soul Tomb. The other departed souls of the Beiqi Clan ancestors also screamed incessantly, frantically rushing toward those prohibitions.

Kaboom!

The terrifying sounds echoed, countless departed souls desperately had to escape. Now was not the time to be complacent.

Yang Zhen actually brought the Heavenly Tribulation to the Soul Tomb. The Beiqi Clan’s ancestors’ departed souls feared this immense, righteous power of heaven and earth even more than the living members of the demonic race. Contact with it almost certainly meant total annihilation.

Countless departed souls didn’t care about their lives, rushing out desperately. Be it the traditional demonic race or the prohibitions of the Soul Tomb, as long as they weren’t targeted by the Heavenly Tribulation, anything was acceptable.

Que’er was dumbstruck, watching Yang Zhen, a long trail of thunderbolts in his wake, causing chaos in the Soul Tomb. The scurrying ancestral departed souls caused her to be shocked. She watched the horrifying scene before her in disbelief.

Yang Zhen’s words echoed in her mind, the one who could save the Beiqi Clan was not Yang Zhen, but Que’er herself, another member of the demonic race.

At the start, Que’er didn’t understand what his words meant. But now she did. The traditions protecting the Beiqi Clan were, as Yang Zhen had said, utter nonsense.

Even if these ancestral departed souls initially wanted to protect the Beiqi Clan, giving up the idea of vanishing with their deaths, throwing out thoughts of reincarnation and entering the Soul Tomb to be smelted, enduring thousands or even tens of thousands of years of such existence was worse than death itself.

The noble Beiqi Clan, sacrificing their ancestral departed souls to be smelted in the Soul Tomb, living a life worse than death, it would be a miracle if the fate of the Beiqi Clan could continue under such an outrageous act.

The most important thing between Heaven and Earth was inheritance. Without it, whether it was humans or other races, even locations like the Beiqi Clan that were not tolerated by Heaven and Earth, could not endure their existence.

Yang Zhen chased down the ancestral departed souls, causing them to howl with grief. Between bouts of hearty laughter, he addressed Que’er, “Little demoness, you understand now, right? The so-called intoleration by Heaven and Earth simply doesn’t exist. The ones to blame for the Beiqi Clan’s predicament is not the heavens or the humans, it’s you guys yourselves.”

As he spoke, a terrifying bolt of thunderbolt energy suddenly erupted from Yang Zhen’s body. Charging into the Tribulation Cloud, he bellowed, “Sixth Dragon Elephant, unleash!”

Boom, boom, boom!

In mid-air, the violent thunderbolts were raging, sending roars of sound reminiscent of those from the Nine Nether Purgatory echoing in all directions.

From Yang Zhen’s body came a sound similar to a dragon’s roar. His entire body became ferocious, a surge of raging power was flooding in all directions like a tidal wave.

His demeanor was like a war god’s, a unique type of brutal strength that tenaciously endured all the heavenly punishments.

When Yang Zhen landed, his body was still reverberating with the sound of thunderbolts.

“Tch!”

Yang Zhen spat out a mouthful of smoke, after wiping off the blood from his body he said to Que’er, “Do you think only the Demonic Race can bear the thunder punishment from heaven? Humans or other races, recall the ancient times, wasn’t every single clan trembling under the Tribulation?”

Que’er was a bit stunned and said defiantly, “Humans aren’t!”

“How are humans any different?” Yang Zhen looked at her strangely, “Didn’t Sao Saint, whom I embody, just get struck by lightning? Look at me, was the strike not severe?”

Que’er glared at him and said, “That’s not the same! Thousands of years ago, a human warrior stirred the heavens and the earth with a single sword, causing the entire continent to be in chaos. Now there’s another human like you who wasn’t even harmed by a blood red thunderbolt. Human practitioners, the chosen of this world, how can you comprehend the pain of the Demonic Race?”

Yang Zhen was dumbfounded, speechless and unable to come up with a retort.

Looking at Que’er’s serious face, Yang Zhen shook his head and said, “You’re wrong!”

“Wrong?” Que’er looked puzzled, “Where am I wrong?”

Yang Zhen took a deep breath, and solemnly said, “Sao Saint had a brother who was a little demon that lived for thirty thousand years and eradicated countless heavenly tribulations, casually destroyed thunder punishments. When you guys were sealed by thunder punishments, it was causing great upheavals within the human world with a wave of its hand. Even the thunder punishments shrank away in front it, even the most terrifying thunderbolt was casually destroyed by it!”

“That’s impossible!” Que’er cried out in surprise, the pure and animated gaze showed excitement. Though her mouth said it was impossible, she eagerly waited for Yang Zhen to continue the story.

Yang Zhen felt that if he stopped talking now, this little girl might pester him for days and nights.

Seeing Que’er’s eager eyes, Yang Zhen took a deep breath and continued, “Whenever my brother roared, the three realms trembled. He jumped tens of thousands of miles, blocking the sun, leaving his body hanging in the air. Kicking his foot caused the ground to shake and the mountains tremble. Blinking caused wild winds to arise. Whenever he slept, his snores caused a tremor within thousands of miles, how can you say such a being was not recognized by heaven and earth?”

“How could such a powerful demon exist, you must be lying to me, right?” Que’er dazedly stared at Yang Zhen, her eyes lost focus.

Yang Zhen clapped his hands, “Why would I lie to you, Sao Saint never lies. You better believe it…sit down, let me tell you properly.”

Que’er sat beside Yang Zhen in a dazed state. Yang Zhen sat down on the ground, just as he opened his mouth to speak, he suddenly felt awkward. Turning his head, he was nearly scared out of his wits.

Circled around were shadowy figures. The closer to the center, the denser they were, obviously, the higher their seniority.

“Damn it, you bunch of old geezers, you’re awake now?”

“Ah!” Que’er was startled and nearly jumped into Yang Zhen’s arms.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“Little girl, don’t be scared, we old fellows, as long as we have the slightest consciousness, how could we harm our own people?”

An aged voice echoed, leaving Yang Zhen and Que’er baffled.
