Chapter 205 - Eating Each Other’s Faces
As a mother, it was only normal for Leila to get worried for her child. She knew that Kimmy had been avoiding her ever since she had tried to arrange a marriage for her. She only wanted her daughter to be happy and have a good life, she was confident back then that Cain would give her daughter that life.
"What should I do?" She muttered to herself. It was not like she could call her even if she wanted to. She knew her calls would go unanswered.
Leila was on her way to leave the palace when she suddenly caught a glimpse of Cain and Kimmy's backs, following a servant to the waiting room.
Cain did tell her earlier that Kimmy was now working for him so she wasn't surprised to see them together anymore.
Knowing that her daughter would run away, she secretly followed them from behind.
They looked good with each other. If the arranged marriage went successful, Kimmy would have already been Cain's wife and who knows, maybe they would already be blessed with a baby.
At the thought of having grandchildren, Leila's heart warmed up. She would definitely spoil her grandchildren.
Leila waited at the corner of the for a while as she saw servants enter the room, bringing in food before they left.
She was contemplating on whether to go and greet them or not. Would Kimmy avoid her if she went to greet them in the room?
After minutes of thinking, Leila finally decided to go and see her daughter.
When the servant saw her, he quickly gave her a polite bow and greeted.
"I'm just going to check on my daughter."
"Then I will announce-"
"You don't have to." She ordered. Leila only wanted to peek and check if things were going well for her daughter now that Kimmy was working under Cain.
The servant moved and stood at the side, allowing the Princess to take a peek inside the room.
As she peeked, Leila's eyes went wide in disbelief at the scene she saw inside the room.
Kimmy's hand was between Cain's thighs and from the looked of it, it seemed like she was rubbing something… rubbing him?
Cain's face was so red but why did he look so surprised?
When he grabbed Kimmy's wrist, Leila noticed the handkerchief her daughter was holding with a red stain on it. It was then that she noticed the red stain on Cain's shirt.
'Oh… she was just wiping the stain…' she thought. She had almost misunderstood their action.
She inwardly sighed in relief. She was about to enter the room this time but what happened next shocked her. They began kissing each other!
They kissed! KISSED!
She slowly, carefully closed the door before she straightened her back. She covered her mouth with a hand, her eyes were still wide in disbelief. They were kissing. She couldn't be mistaken. Her eyes were not playing around with her, right?
Just to make sure, she carefully pushed the door open and peeked once again.
This time, Kimmy was sitting on Cain's lap as she continued to make out with him.
Yup, her eyes were not deceiving her. They were eating each other's faces!
Not wanting to spoil their moment, before they could even notice her, she shut the door quietly. This time, the side of her lips curled up into a delighted grin.
Were they actually hiding their relationship from her? Why would they? They didn't have to, really.
"My daughter is all grown up," she mumbled happily.
On the other hand, the servant standing on the corner was confused, he was wondering why the Princess was smiling from ear to ear.
"You." She finally turned to him. "Don't let anyone come into the room."
The servant blinked a few times. He was puzzled by what she was suddenly ordering. "Prince Cedric has an appointment with Dr. Cain."
A frown appeared on Leila's elegant face. "What time will he be coming?"
"Any minute now, Princess."
Just after the servant had delivered his words, Leila saw Gavin and Brione coming out from the corner of the hall. She cursed under her breath. She sighed inwardly. It seemed like she had to distract them for a few minutes just to give both Cain and Kimmy more time to 'get to know each other better'.
With a bright smile, Leila went and approached the couple who were walking towards them. "Cedric! Brione!" She air-kissed them on their cheeks after greeting them with a hug.
"Auntie, what brings you here?" Gavin asked in wonder.
It was already late at night. He had already expected that the guests should have gone back to their homes, including his Aunt.
"I just went to see Dr. Cain. I've been having a migraine lately so I went to him for a check up. He said that it was just because of my lack of sleep." She sighed heavily. "I've been stressed out so I had a hard time sleeping lately," she said as an excuse.
Gavin knew that Princess Leila had been worrying for her daughter after what happened between them and now, after what happened to his father, she had become more anxious. "You should go home and get some rest now, Auntie. It's already late. Don't worry about my father, his condition is stable now."
"He is right. You should take care of your health, Auntie," Brione said worriedly.
"Cain has prescribed me some medicine if ever I had another migraine so don't worry!" She chuckled softly.
Leila continued to chat with them for a while, not giving them a chance to end the topic with her despite the fact that she could see how her nephew began to grow impatient.
"Argh…" Leila groaned as she held her temple. She even wobbled her body just to make her act more realistic and as expected, her nephew was fast enough to catch her.
"I think I better leave now," she mumbled.
"That's what we've been telling you." Gavin sighed.
"We'll accompany you to your car, Auntie," Brione offered.
Princess Leila wanted to hear those words. Just as she planned. "No, you don't have to, dear," she replied as she continued with her act.
"But you might end up fainting on your way," said Brione. She looked at Gavin and added, "You should come with us. If Auntie fainted, I won't be able to carry her,"
In the end, Gavin didn't have a choice but to accompany both women to the parking lot.
