Chapter 544: Chapter 544 - The Mystery of Fokil
[Name: Fokil]
[Level: ???]
[Strength: 1,323 | Agility: 338 | Intelligence: ??? | Constitution: ??? | Stamina: 878]
No way! Broken stood there, stunned as he glanced at Fokil's stats-1.3K Strength? Almost 900 Stamina? He tried to estimate Fokil's level based on those numbers. Easily over level 300, right? he thought to himself.
But then a realization struck him. With stats that high, shouldn't Fokil have been able to take down the Fae Guardians more easily? Yet, instead of joining the frontlines, Fokil chose to fight within the city.
His mind raced to make sense of it. Fokil's class is blacksmith, he reasoned. That means he probably doesn't have many combat skills, but still, that raw power...
Even Broken, with the Lust Champion blessing and Berserker skill activated, had only barely surpassed Fokil's Strength stats earlier. And yet, even with all that power, taking down the Fae Guardians had been incredibly difficult.
It makes sense, Broken realized, why Fokil stayed inside the city to defend against weaker monsters. His strength alone is impressive, but without advanced combat skills, those Guardians would've been too much of a risk.
Despite Fokil's efforts, the city had still suffered heavy damage. The attack had been brutal, a coordinated strike of overwhelming force. If they had been even slightly slower, Deadbay City might not have survived.
Ivana walked toward Fokil with a smile of relief. "I'm glad you're okay, Mr. Fokil," she said softly.
Fokil glanced at her and then at Broken. "Hey, kid. So, you killed those monsters?"
"Yes, sir," Broken answered slowly.
"Good..." Fokil replied nonchalantly. "Did you get any rewards for killing them?"
"Yes, sir, I got a Unique-grade Helmet and a Legendary-grade Device."
"Good... make good use of it," Fokil said as he stood up, turning to Ivana. "I'm going to rest now." With that, he casually made his way back into the Smithy.
As he disappeared inside, Broken turned to Ivana. "Have you ever seen Mr. Fokil in combat?" Ivana paused, her expression unreadable for a moment, before shaking her head.
"Mr. Fokil is very private, so I don't know much about his combat abilities. But earlier, he saved me from the Gorilla Guardian with a hammer. After that, he disappeared again. Is there something you're worried about?"
"No, not really," Broken replied.
One thought kept circling in his mind: What is someone like Fokil doing in a place like this? His level was incredibly high, and he was even a Master Blacksmith.
There was no way Fokil was just an ordinary craftsman. From what Broken knew, Fokil had been in Deadbay for a long time-decades, perhaps, having been friends with Gia's husband many years ago.
Why stay here, a dwarf among humans? He must be lonely.
"Does he rarely sell his creations to anyone?" Broken continued.
"I'm not sure," Ivana replied. "But I know he doesn't take orders. He's the one who crafted my armor and weapon. I've tried to pay him, but he always refuses."
Would Fokil ever consider leaving this place? He wondered aloud.
"Do you think he'd be willing to come with me to Slumdon Town and help me develop the city?"
Ivana paused, considering his question. "You should talk to him about it. I think he'd at least be open to the idea."
"I'll give it a try," Broken nodded.
"But please, don't be disappointed if he refuses," Ivana added gently.
Broken nodded in understanding. "Alright, Ivana. I'm satisfied with the results of today's battle. I'm logging off now. See you later," he said with a small smile.
"Take care, Broken," Ivana replied, waving as his figure began to fade from her view.
Once he was gone, Ivana stood quietly for a moment. Softly, she murmured to herself, "I wonder if we Yunateans are able to visit their world as well? They come and go from Yunatea so easily... Can we do the same?"

Leon abruptly opened his eyes, startled by the loud cheering and shouting. His game name echoed through the air. Stepped out of the capsule device, he immediately spotted Lily and Freya nearby, but there was also a woman in a wheelchair, someone he hadn't noticed before he logged in.
"Hi, Leon," the woman greeted him with a warm smile. "I'm Juliette. Nice to meet you."
"Hi," Leon replied, walking closer.
"I'm PussyCat," Juliette added with a playful grin.
"Ah!" Leon chuckled, realizing who she was. "So it's you, the CEO of Northstar, visiting this place in person. I'm truly honored."
Juliette giggled. "Where did you learn to flatter people like that, huh?"
"I guess you've been hanging around RememberMe too much if you think my genuine words are just flattery," Leon teased with a grin.
Juliette giggled again. "Alright, how about this-why don't you join us for a casual dinner? Sounds good?"
It was nearing midnight, but Leon, Lily, Freya, and Juliette continued their conversation, gathered at a luxurious restaurant by the beach. Despite the snow softly falling around them, the serene atmosphere and the captivating music made the evening feel lively, especially after Leon's big win in the game.
Juliette smiled fondly, recalling their first encounter in Immortal Legacy.
"It was such a ridiculous meeting," she began, "because RememberMe challenged Leon to a duel. But despite that, he managed to beat RememberMe easily."
Leon took a casual sip of his drink and replied with a smirk, "You sure are happy to bully the
weak, huh?"
Juliette laughed, covering her mouth with her palm. "I can't really defend myself," she admitted. "I didn't exactly try to stop RememberMe. But hey, because of that duel, we got to know each other, right?"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Freya chimed in, "It seems like most of the people who are friends to him now originally tried to bully him-just like Elincia and Melliandra did."
"Elincia didn't just bully me. She actually killed me with a single, overpowered spell." Leon
chuckled.
Juliette giggled again, adding to the laughter around the table.
"But Juliette..." Lily chimed in, "Do you also live around here? You came at just the right time
when we really needed help."
Juliette smiled gracefully. "How can I answer this... Uhm... I don't stay in one place for long.
I'm always busy helping with my father's business. I just happened to be nearby when Freya
called and said she needed help."
"Juliette... you're really friendly," Lily said, sounding a bit surprised.
"Oh... really?" Juliette's face brightened. "Then, would you like to be my friend?"
"Oh..." Lily was taken aback. "Friend?"
"Why do you look so surprised?" Juliette teased.
"No... it's just... I never expected to be sitting at the same table with someone as influential as
you. It's really amazing."
Juliette smiled warmly, and the conversation soon flowed easily between them, helping them get better acquainted as the night went on.
"This has been a very enjoyable meeting," Juliette said after some time. "I hope we can meet more often in the future. By the way, Leon, did you like the Home Bus? If you have any
feedback to improve it, please let me know."
Leon nodded appreciatively. "I really appreciate that, Juliette. If I think of any improvements for the Home Bus, I'll be sure to pass them along."
After their conversation, Leon and the others made their way to the cottage they had rented
near the beach for the next two days. The view was breathtaking, with the moon and stars
reflecting off the ocean.
But despite the beauty of the scenery, Leon was too exhausted to enjoy it. As soon as they reached the cottage, he headed straight to his room and passed out, letting sleep take over quickly after such an eventful day.
