CHAPTER 314 – Alert The Others
~Hours Later~
Deep into the night, Asia wound up her hand on Aramis, snuggling into his warm body and inhaling his scent as she purred in her sleep.
The latter smiled at her cute baby self in his sleep, lifting his hand to draw her in properly.
Once she got cosied back up, she entwined her legs with Aramis and drifted back into her sleep.
Everyone had expected this to be one of those nights to be with their loved ones. Little did they know that plans were soon going to change.
No sooner had she resumed her sleep than her phone rang loud and clear, flinging her and Aramis out of sleep, bringing their bodies to a sitting position as they rubbed the sleep out of their eyes.
Asia was the first to grumble out loud as she whipped her head to look at Aramis, in hopes that something would be done.
.....
“Get it,” she whined when she noticed he was not paying any attention to her. “Turn it off,” she complained again and this time, she fell back on the bed clutching one of the pillows in her arms to make up for his absence.
Aramis tsked as he watched her sleeping frame. It was both cute and surprising to see her act like a baby when she was supposed to be a very skilled assassin and bodyguard.
“But it’s not my phone,” he blurted out.
“I don’t care. Answer it or turn it off and come let me cuddle you,” she gave out her orders without prying her eyes open, irrespective of what he thought.
“After ditching me for a pillow, you still want me in your arms huh?”
“Sure. You are mine. Now, get...” she moved her mouth, chewing on God knows what as she drifted so fast back to sleep.
Aramis did not know what he was going to do to her? He did not know if he should use Jade as an excuse to get her up.
As much as she was looking lazy now, she was very much agile when it came to Jade and would not waste a time.
“Hmm.”
The call ended just about the time he crawled over to the other side of the bed to get her phone.
Just then the sound of the phone pricked at her senses and she turned to face him, her beautiful face marred with a spectacular frown.
He gulped but spared her no words until his eyes fell on her phone screen and his eyes flew wide open.
“No way!”
“Hmm?”
“Asia, get up. You would never guess who is calling.”
“Who?”
“It’s your dad.”
As soon as she heard who the caller was, she sprang back on her feet with her eyes widening because of what she least expected.
“Father?”
Aramis nodded and handed over the phone. She picked it up quickly and answered. “Hello, dad, morning.”
“Hello, Asia, morning. Sorry to disturb your sleep like this but damn it where were you? How can a bodyguard be so in-depth in sleep?”
Without being told she lowered her head in embarrassment. She really was tired and never would she expect him to call her this early in the morning.
“What do you have to say for yourself?”
“I am sorry. I was...”
“You better not be planning to utter the words tired. What did you do?!” He hollered into the phone.
At the mention of his question, she shot her gaze back up and was met with the apologetic stares of Aramis.
Had it not been for him and his insatiable hands and need, she wouldn’t have been this tired.
They spent a good amount of time making love for four different rounds before he calmed down and allowed her to rest.
Even at that, the calming down wasn’t entirely calm. He left his fingers in her and played with her breasts till they fell asleep.
Of course, she would be tired and in need of sleep. But how the hell was she supposed to mention that to her father?
Besides, he knew nothing of her relationship with Aramis but still.
“Sigh. Father, I am....”
“I am sorry, sir,” Aramis interjected. “I kept your daughter busy throughout the night.”
Both Asia and Arctic has their eyes flew open when they heard Aramis speak.
This wasn’t for him and why did he have to do that? She could not believe he just ratted her sex life out to her father.
Cough! Arctic, bashed could only cough a bit and try to get his senses kicking.
Even he a skilled assassin could not believe he was unprepared for what he heard.
She shot Aramis a death glare as she wished she could just disappear from that place immediately.
Rather than being apologetic, he smiled proudly and pressed a fine kiss on her lips. “Good morning sir. I am your daughter’s...”
“Boyfriend,” Arctic cut in quickly. “One can figure out. At least she is not just having a fling, I can respect that.”
“Thank you, sir. My name is Aramis. My apologies for not seeking your permission to have her first.”
“Aramis. Got it. We shall discuss that some other time. However, because of what you said, I shall forgive her this time.”
“Thank you, sir.”
Asia did not give it a second thought and actually faced-palmed herself. This time? What did he mean by this time?
“Dad, I am not a kid in need of lecturing you know.”
“I know and Jade’s life is of utmost importance. What if there was an assassination on her life huh?”
She let out a deep breath. Leave it to her father to always be cautious when it came to the Frost family and more importantly, Jade.
She could not blame him though. He had watched over the young Mafia Lord since she was born and now that her family was killed and he betrayed her, he held her like an egg.
He had never been one who would be bothered so much but she was the only survivor of the Frost family and he had a promise to keep to her late parents.
“I am sorry. I was negligent.”
When it came to work, her father was thorough and did not like lapses.
“Fine. I would forgive this. Protect her well.”
“Got is, sir.”
“Anyways, I called for a different matter.” Aramis watched as Asia’s eyes darkened and she straightened in her sitting position.
Immediately, that soldier or trained part of her woke up amidst all that tiredness.
Right now, he felt bad for stressing her out but they just mated, it was normal for his need to arise so much, much less when it had been years since his last mating with his mate.
“We got word. They have begun their movement and they want all of the warehouses to prepare. Also, the ships would be arriving at this morning as well.”
She narrowed her eyes on nothing, taking in his every word.
“Prepare for battle, Asia. Alert the others. Plans changed we may need to attack first light. Anders is moving in at the dead of the night.”
“Got it, sir.”
