Mercenary Harem in Murim Novel

Chapter 200 – Supreme Evil's Bones

'Let's take Old Jin and figure things out by scanning his body.'

In the end, the order took priority. Anya was a soldier, a mercenary, and a killer. She had killed many people before and she would continue to kill. This time, however, it wasn't her job. She had to find the location of the altar, and she would be able to get the location from Old Jin who somehow got brainwashed here.

"Old Man is truly troublesome!" She complained and took a step forward.

As soon as her foot landed, an explosion of ice formed under her. The cold temperature froze the ground instantly and the earth became frozen, causing a chain reaction of freezing in a large radius.

Everything within the area froze solid. The ice covered the trees, buildings, and people around them, including Old Jin and the other men's legs who were in the process of digging a hole.

Anya's body became blurred, her body disappeared. She quickly snatched Old Jin and jumped away from the scene.

Old Jin's legs were still stuck to the ground, so Anya broke the ice. He groaned in pain but his face was still emotionless.

"Well, it will heal soon anyway." Anya muttered to herself.

She quickly ran away from the place and carried him on her shoulder. His weight wasn't a problem for her. She ran through the city, searching for a safe location.

Before long, she found an abandoned inn. No one was inside, and the owner had already fled from the city, leaving everything behind.

She broke the lock with her ice claws and went inside.

"Here, lie down here."

She pushed Old Jin to lie down on the bed, but his expression remained the same. He was in a verge of fully losing consciousness. Whoever brainwashed him must be truly strong.

Anya had to act fast. She scanned his body, searching for any signs of injury.

She didn't find any, but she did discover something strange. There was a strange substance that had penetrated his skin, and it was spreading through his body, reaching his heart and his head.

Based on the shape, it seemed like it was a poison-based attack. However, it was not the type of poison that Anya was familiar with. This was something entirely new to her. She didn't know what this substance was, and it was moving around in his body.

However...

"This will cure it, I think." She took out syringe given by Chiaki before the operation started. A black liquid was inside the syringe. "I don't know what is happening to his body, but this thing can help him. At least that's what Chiaki said."

Every member going on the mission was given 3 of these syringes. They were antidotes for their situation. If their body was taken over, then they could inject this thing into their blood, giving them time for Hallowed Insects to take care of their problem.

It was a miracle drug, a magic drug. A panacea that Chiaki developed specifically for the mission. The serum could heal almost anything, returning the body's condition to its previous state.

"Let's hope it works."

Anya jabbed the syringe into his neck and injected the black liquid. Then, she threw away the syringe. She didn't have to wait for a long time as the serum took effect almost immediately.

Black veins bulged from the point of entry. They spread through Old Jin's neck, and they branched out, traveling all over his body. Soon enough, they covered every part of him.

A black liquid started seeping out from his skin and mouth. His body trembled as if he was in a cardiac arrest. However, it didn't last long.

After a few seconds, Old Jin opened his eyes.

"What..." He groaned as his vision focused.

"Ah, Old Man!" Anya exclaimed in joy. "Hahaha. The thing really works!"

Old Jin sat down on the bed and rubbed his temples. He sighed deeply as he tried to recall his memories.

"I... see." Old Jin nodded and turned to Anya. "Young Lady, I must thank you for saving me. I am grateful to you."

"Oh! Don't mention it. We're all comrades in arms after all. Besides, Leader told me to find you and destroy the altar. I can't detect that murky dark Qi, you know?" Anya said, shaking her hand.

"Hahaha! You're right. I understand." Old Jin chuckled. "I was caught off guard when I found the fake ritual place. These people were really cautious and I underestimated them. To think they would put such a heavy trap on the place, that was unexpected."

Dark Qi, feeling different from the one Supreme Evil's followers used, seeped through the Old Jin's body. His face morphed to look similar to an old demon as his Qi changed. A pair of red horns appeared on his head and his eyes shone red, his skin also turned darker and a black tattoo spread through his skin.

His transformation finished, he turned to Anya and said, "I hope you can catch up with me, Young Lady. And I pray that you're used to seeing blood. Because I shall not holding back from now on."

"Hehehe, don't underestimate me old man."

With that, Old Jin jumped through the ceiling, destroying it while leaving a red track. Anya followed suit right after.

The Wandering Sword Saint was defeated, leaving only a trail of blood on the battlefield.

Leo was fighting Heart with everything he got. He used his sword to block the attacks of his enemy and his Qi to keep the enemy from regenerating.

"You're so annoying." Heart said. His eyes were cold, his face devoid of emotion. The dark fog surrounding him dispersed and he raised his hand, creating a giant black spear out of the dark fog. It was longer than two meters and it was thick and heavy.

For some reason, Leo felt like Heart was going all out now. He threw away the regeneration, proved by the remaining wound, and focused his Qi to attack.

"Uh oh."

He immediately retreated and threw a Nanites recovery pill into his mouth before enhancing his body to the fullest. He also spread his Qi to prepare for his strongest technique.

"Thunderbolt Dragon Roar."

His Qi was shaped into the form of a blue western dragon that roared into the air, creating a deafening noise. Its roar was as loud as a clap of thunder, shaking the entire area. It opened its maw, showing rows of sharp fangs, before unleashing its breath of energy at Heart.

At the same time, Heart created a bow out of dark Qi and knocked the spear. With his finger on the bow, he pulled it until his right hand reached his jaw.

The spear flew like a meteor and pierced through the lightning dragon.

Leo saw the spear approaching and his face changed. It was stronger than anything he had ever encountered before. The lightning dragon roared once again, trying to stop the spear, but it was useless. It passed through the dragon and destroyed it, and the spear headed straight for him, its power still intact.

Instantly, he took out a golden coin from his storage and imbued it with Qi, making it even stronger. He threw it at the spear, blocking its path.

Bang!

The spear and the coin explode upon impact. A huge cloud of smoke rose from where they collided, and a gust of wind blew, creating a lightning tornado that swallowed everything in its path.

"What?" Heart looked surprised.

How a single golden coin blocked his dark spear was something unexpected.

At that moment...

Leo was behind Heart, holding his photon sword and his hand was on top of the boy's head. Leo's body crackled with lightning.

"I am not a swordsman, you see. But I can cut through your neck easily." Leo grinned and swung the sword.

Swoosh!

Blood sprayed from the neck and Heart's body collapsed.

However, at that moment, Heart's eyes glowed black. Dark mist surged out from his wound, and his head flew to reattach itself. The wound healed quickly, and he grabbed Leo's sword with his bare hands, preventing him from taking the sword back.

Still, he didn't need it. He threw the photon sword away, his other hand punched at Heart's face. He didn't forget to infuse it with lightning, increasing the damage.

"Lightning Explosion."

The gathered Qi inside Heart's body exploded, making the body turned into pieces. His limbs were scattered all around, and the head flew off.

"Sherly!" Leo shouted at the girl standing ready away from him. And then, he shouted once again, "Chiaki, the mini-Coco!"

"On it!"

"Ready."

Many black metal toys jumped from their hiding and opened their mouths wide. At the same time, Sherly controlled the wind, creating a vacuum to make sure the dark fog was all gone and Heart wouldn't be able to regenerate again.

The metal Coco jumped at the remains of Heart's body, eating it piece by piece, not leaving anything. They took the whole thing into their body and they all moved to one place, becoming one large black metal box. A small green light lit on top of it.

Leo wanted to rest immediately, but it didn't end yet. He ate 3 Nanites recovery pills and took the box. His body screamed that he used it too much already. Pain spread through his body, but it was bearable.

While his body had no injuries, the human limit was still the limit. His body was aching, and it was a bit numb. His muscles and joints were screaming at him.

"Let's send you to Space nicely." He picked up the box and prepared to send it to space.

The box was moving wildly. However, Leo was confident that it wouldn't break through. He turned to Sherly and smiled.

"I will return soon." Leo smiled at her. "Go with Jessica and help the evacuation. Or..."

His eyes went to where Wandering Sword Saint was standing. He saw the corpse and couldn't help but sigh. "Take the Wandering Sword Saint's body there and give it a proper burial."

"Understood, Leader." Sherly said and ran to pick up the corpse of the Wandering Sword Saint. Her expression turned gloomy.

Even though it was a short time, they were friends.

For now, Leo wanted to throw this box outside of Earth soon. He jumped with all his might, using electricity to accelerate. Explore more adventures at empire

A few moments later, he arrived at the outer layer of the atmosphere.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

He looked at Earth below, beautiful as ever. It was the home of many humans. The place where he had lived for many years now.

And he wouldn't allow anyone or any organizations to make this Earth the same as his where a group of the strongest people was controlling everything.

"This is my Earth. I shall make this place a peaceful world where people can live without fear. A place where they don't have to live under a rule of the strong. The Mercenary Union will be the organization solving people's problems." He muttered and raised his right arm, the black metal box in hand.

The green light on the metal box changed color to blue, signing that the box's durability had decreased slightly.

"Wow, I never thought this guy was that persistent. Let's throw him so far away that he won't be able to return."

Then, he threw the black box with all his strength. His arm shone with lightning and he pushed the box, using his entire force.

The box accelerated faster, breaking through the outer atmosphere, and was sent to space.

"Space, please take this thing. He might return in the future, I have no doubt about that. But that will be for the people in the future to solve, not my problem. At least, he won't be able to return for a hundred year. We can prepare until then."

He stared into space for a few moments, watching the box disappear from sight. He didn't feel any regret. He had done what needed to be done.

With a satisfied look on his face, Leo turned his head back and descended to the surface.

Going to fight two times and even going to space two times too was exhausting. All he wanted to do was to take a hot bath and sleep. Maybe he would even need help doing that. Sherly's boobs pillow was a tempting idea.

As Leo descended to Earth, his communication device suddenly vibrated in his pocket.

He looked at the hologram that popped up, it was Anya.

"Leader, we found him! We found Supreme Evil's head and bones!"
