Chapter 430 – Mr Avans Caught Jasmine And Her Mum Talking

Jackson was going through a tough time due to Jasmine disappearance. Others weren't doing so great because of the same reason that is why he didn't want to add to everyone's problem.

Another reason he didn't tell any other person about his plights was that out of everyone, Jasmine was the closest to Catherine. She was the perfect person to talk to Catherine and Catherine would listen to.

"We are buddies right so there is no need for that," Jasmine said as she smiles at him. Despite that, she had given him her words she could see that he still looks very gloomy.

"Pretty Boy, stop looking very sad like your wife left you and cheer up because I will talk some senses into that best friend of mine. She wouldn't dare to treat you unkindly after I finished talking to her, you can trust me on that," Jasmine promised in a serious tone. Jeff's mood brightened up slightly after she finishes talking.

The two ate and afterwards went their separate ways.

Just when Jasmine was about to get out of her car in front of her company her cellphone rang. She paused getting out of the car so she could answer the call.

"Why is mum calling me again for the third time today? Is something perhaps amidst?" Jasmine muttered before she decided to answer her mum's call.

"Hey, naughty girl. I am glad you have finally decided to answer my calls after three days of ignoring all my calls. I was about to call Jackson and inform him about the news of your pregnancy if you ignored my call one more time…,"

"Mum!" Jasmine shouted when she learned what was on her mum's mind.

"Ignore my calls one more time and I will make sure not only him but also your father will learn about your pregnancy. Let's see whether…,"

"Mum, you are threatening your beloved daughter and this is not fair at all," Jasmine showed her displeasure in her tone.

"Is what you are doing to me fair too?" Mrs Avans asked refusing to let her daughter win this time around.

"If it was only you, I wouldn't be so worried. In fact, I would have turned a blind eye to whatever you do or eat but not when my grandchild is inside of you. I can't be at peace knowing that the safety of my grandchild lies in your hand…,"

"He is my child first before he is your grandchild so why are you acting like you are the mother, mum?" Jasmine asked leaving her mum momentarily speechless with her question.

"You silly girl…,"

"Mum, although I can be very reckless sometimes I won't do that anymore especially since I know that there is a little bun growing inside of me. He is my first child with Ice Prince so I will take good care of him," Jasmine said honestly. She knows the reason her mum keeps calling her for the past few days was that she was worried about the child. She understands her mother's worry since she also is very scared.

This is her first time getting pregnant there is a lot of things to learn and do. She has been very careful not to do or eat anything that will affect the baby in any way.

She loves her child more than anyone would.

"Mum, don't be worried about me or the child. I am afraid that Father will discover the truth if you keep calling me so please don't call me so much in a day. I can't imagine what father will do if he learns about my pregnancy so please let's keep it a secret for as long as we can…,"

"I have heard you so stop nagging me like you are the mother," Mrs Avans said playfully.

"Of course, you will always remain my loving mother no matter what. And I know that my child will love you very much since he can feel how much you love him," Jasmine said with smiles.

"Stop being a smooth talker and changing the topic," Mrs Avans said smiling.

"So how is the child? How are you feeling? Have you eaten? What about the check-up did you go for it?" Mrs Avans asked all at once making Jasmine head dizzy with all the questions.

"Mum, the child is fine and I have eaten so don't worry. I no longer skip my meals because of my condition so you can relax a little now," Jasmine replied in a calm tone.

"What about going for the regular check-up in the hospital…,"

"Mum, I am very healthy so I don't have to go to the hospital regularly…,"

"What the heck are you saying, Jasmine Avans? What does being healthy have to do with setting up an appointment with the doctor?" Mrs Avans scolded.

"Mum, I have been following all the things the doctor told me to do so I don't need to go for checks up so regularly. I am afraid not only Ice Prince but everyone will learn about the news of my pregnancy if I visit the hospital very often. Don't forget the paparazzi keeping tabs on me are looking for trending headlines to write," Jasmine tried to reason things out with her mum but Mrs Avans didn't seem convinced at all.

"You told me that day you haven't met the doctor this month for your appointment…,"

"Mum this month is just starting so there is no need to be in a rush. I will visit the doctor when I am free," Jasmine said as she got out of the car. she approached the entrance of the building while still on the call.

"Will you take responsibility if something terrible happens…,"

"What are you talking about and who are you talking to?" Jasmine heard her father's voice at the other end. She panicked when she realised that he heard her mum's words.

"What responsibility are you talking about?" Mr Avans asked when his shocked wife did not say anything.
