Chapter 368 Public Statement
Some minutes later, Zhang Liling and Fang Bingwen met up at Glint to talk about the rumours spreading like wildfire on the internet.
"I have someone investigating this, but it will be hard to find out the people behind those comments. Most of them just made duplicate accounts to keep the same topic trending."
"These people don't have anything better to do?" Zhang Liling asked from across her white desk.
"That's the reason they have this kind of job. Whoever hired them did well." Fang Bingwen commended.
It was solely because those people have nothing to do that they were hired to do that kind of dirty work.
"Are you for me or against me?" Zhang Liling followed her eyes before fixing her attention on her laptop screen as her fingers slid across the space bar.
"I was only stating the truth. It is 90% impossible to find the person behind these rumours because they are smart enough to not involve themselves directly."
"I don't care who the real person is, but those three people that I mentioned their names are the culprits. They should just wait for me." Zhang Liling swore withy her eyes on her laptop screen.
There really was something important she was looking for her eyes to still be on it since forever.
"But seriously, are you going to fight in the street because of Shu Rushi?" Mr. Fang asked as he leaned in toward the table
Suddenly, he remembered her saying she had promised to best Shi Rushi up as that might have been what prompted the latter to hire keyboard warriors.
"Why not? I at least need to give someone a good beating."
"You are telling me to my face that you are going to fight in the street? Have you no fear whatsoever?"
"Uh... There is nothing I fear again if someone can attack my business 24 hours after its launching, forcing me to use my brain to overcome the trouble, then there is nothing I should I fear again." Zhang Liling spat without sparing him a glance.
She sure had become heartless since facing a few problems on the way to setting up her own business.
"You better not let me catch you otherwise I will break your legs. I don't what to hear about you engaging in a fight with anyone. Also, you better not appear on the news otherwise I would pull your ear out?"
Fang Bingwen was not going to let her off so easily because she was facing tough times at the moment.
Engaging in a fist fight in public was embarrassing. Did she not care about her image?
From the look of things, she surely did not care, but she should care about the man she was currently sharing an identity with.
"What if the other person provoked me first?" Zhang Liling inquired, raising her head to glance at him as she paused with her work.
"Don't get into a fight first. Just give me a call, and I will use the law to settle scores with the person on your behalf."
"No, I'm not talking about that," Shaking her head, she made her stance clear.
"Mr. Fang, if someone hits me first, what you should I do?"
"Call the police. Don't take laws into your hands."
"Unfortunately, that's what I like doing." Flashing him a smile that reached her eyes, she went back to work.
Call the police if someone hits her first? That must be a joke.
"You..."
"Ah! I found them!" Zhang Liling announced while smoking from ear to ear.
"You found the videos, let me see." Fang Bingwen demanded as he immediately switched to a work mode.
Quickly, Zhang Liling turned her laptop to face him. "You can click on anyone to start watching first." She pointed out with a smile.
Without wasting time, he clicked on the first video and started to watch it.
The video was of Zhang Liling's progress before reaching this height in the cosmetic industry.
The first video Mr. Fang played, showed Zhang Liling in a live makeup production class.
Apparently, she had signed up for those classes when the idea of having her own makeup brand came to her.
As there was no time to waste, Fang Bingwen kept slipping some parts before moving over to the next video.
Seeing that the second one still had to do with her makeup class, he started browsing through the whole collection of videos.
With these evidences in her system, she could easily use it prove that she personally trained in the cosmetic field.
Other videos in her system, also showed her trying to learn how to make her makeup products.
There were a few of them that showed her trial and error before she perfected in them.
There was also another set that showed her learning how to do a professional makeup.
"We will have to start work with this. Get your PR to start work immediately." Mr. Fang advised, letting out a sigh of relief as he turned the laptop screen to face her.
"I'm so happy that I saw these videos. My digital certificate is here in my system. I would like to see those fools after me make a mistake."
Some minutes later, Zhang Liling invited her PR team to her office. She spoke to them while standing and after, they asked her some questions as they would need to give a public statement from her.
Although Fang Bingwen was there, listening to their conversation, he refused to offer his opinion.
Glint did not belong to him, and it wouldn't seem right for him to interfere all the time with his girlfriend's decision with her company.
At least if he had anything to tell her, he would do that in private.
Passing the flash drive she had used to copy the necessary file for the work they were about to do, Zhang Liling let them leave.
As soon as her PR team left her office, she sprawled half of her body on her desk.
"I'm tired."
"Are you hungry?" Mr. Fang asked while staring at her head full of long strands of hair.
Because of the position she was laying in, he couldn't see her face clearly.
"I don't think I can eat anything unless I start seeing the impact of this breaking news that is about to calm the storm," She said, referring to the article her PR was about to put up online.
"You should eat. You the energy." Fang Bingwen insisted.
"No way!" Zhang Liling lifted her body from her desk and cast a subtle glance at him.
"Besides, I need to deal with that woman who is touching my mother's soft spot before the Song family intervenes.
I'm sure that as they are not in good terms with my Mum, they may come up to conclude that they have no relationship with her. That will be very humiliating."
Zhang Liling was worried about her mother and her thoughts.
Despite not knowing much about the Song family that resided in another big City, she couldn't rule out the possibility of them coming out to give a disheartening clearance to the public.
The fire on the internet was already aiming for them, and it was just a little time before they came out.
Seeing the direction that things may head to, Zhang Liling had it in mind to act fact.
She wasn't doubting that Shi Wenqian truly had a hand in this one because the woman was still jealous of her mother and would do anything to cause tongues to wag at her.
"I am not in doubt that your stepmother has a hand in this. It's easy to hire people to work against you in the internet. But it's easy to solve this matter."
"How?"
"Didn't she snatch the husband of the woman she is hating on online?" Fang Bingwen asked, folding his hands below his chest.
Instantly, Zhang Liling's face lit up as a night smile contoured her entire face.
"Shi Wenqian is nothing but a home wrecker. It seems like she has forgotten that. Maybe we need to remind her."
"Surely, she didn't think that this rumour she started could backfire on her."
*******
That same evening, Glint posted evidences pertaining to Zhang Liling's qualifications to start, run and maker her own products.
In a simple statement, things were made clear. The people wondering why she went through a manufacturer finally understood something.
For a large business like hers, she needed to be producing her products in large batches to meet the consumers immediately need.
Nit just that, the packaging as well. If she did their things herself, then Glint wouldn't be a big brand.
So going through a manufacturer would save her a lot of trouble.
Having explained all these, the certificates Zhang Liling attained to proof her words, were also made available, including the videos.
Also, Zhang Liling made sure to tell everyone that she did not accept any help from anyone to start up her company.
The only person that really helped out at the early times, was her mother.
She had said, "I just used my money to start up a business. But if I wasn't privileged to raise that money, I would have taken out a loan."
To proof to those saying she was only able to build a company from scratch because of the calibre of people around her, she let them know that she didn't things herself.
And if she didn't come from a rich family that helped her to save up to that amount to start business, then she would have taken a different step to do the same thing.
