“[Boulder Summon!]” Rezen stretched his hands out and in front of his palm was a brown magic circle

From that magic circle, an earthen boulder 2.5 meters in diameter emerged and he controlled it to smash several wolves in succession

His boulder was smaller than the boulder that the bear he fought a week ago created but its firepower is also exceptional as it smashed at least four wolves

After an entire week of hunting with Zero, Rezen has accumulated around 2,000 recovery pills and he also managed to exchange for three blessings

However, either his luck was trash or the drop rate was just really low but he didn’t obtain many treasures

All the three blessings he recharged for just gave him a blessing of good sleep

Sure, the blessing helps Rezen sleep soundly and when he wakes up, he feels as if living in this world was worth it. But aside from that, the blessing of good sleep doesn’t really offer any other thing

As for the lottery tickets, the majority of them gave recovery pills with some mysterious peaches and only a single mysterious banana that gave Rezen the comprehension of the earth element

A week ago, Rezen joked about the system giving him a spell of the moon element, and turns out that was actually right!

Rezen now has the mystic gems of sun, water, earth, plant, and moon forcing him to upgrade his elixir field to accommodate eight 1st fusion grade mystic gems and eight 2nd fusion grade mystic gems

As for upgrading his elixir field to accommodate nine and ten gems… Rezen felt that if he ever has to do that, it would be far from now

God knows how many rainbow clementines he had eaten. The number has already reached thousands and Rezen used up quite a number of recovery pills to eat that much. He was even forced to juice the clementines like a madman and just drink the juice

If not, even if Rezen’s stomach became a bottomless pit, just how long would it take to eat that many clementines? He and Zero literally worked overtime to plant and squeeze the hell out of all those clementines!

Right now, Rezen has no plan of eating any more rainbow clementines. Sure, that spirit plant tastes good but after eating that many of them… just thinking about having to eat more is already enough to make him cry

This made the spells of other elements that Rezen learned from the mysterious peaches to be useless as he don’t have the mystic gem for them

These days, Rezen’s most powerful element was his water and earth-type gems that he mostly uses. And as of right now, Rezen is surrounded by twenty wolves from ungraded to the 2nd fusion rank but he was holding himself quite well against them

His arms, chest, and legs were covered with water armor that also boosts his physical stats that he relied on to maneuver around all these wolves

“[Water Stream!]”

Rezen fired multiple streams of water energies to lessen the number of his opponents. The stream spell targeted the lower-ranking magic beasts while Rezen relied on his water armor to block, making sure that the wolves would only hit him in the area where the armor is available

“Howl!”

One of the wolves suddenly opened its mouth and a magic circle formed in front of it. As the wolf howled, sound vibrations infused with mana traveled in the air and entered Rezen’s ears causing him to bleed

The loud and irritating ringing sound made Rezen dizzy and the other wolves used that chance to attack him

His subordinate – Zero was hiding nearby and he was about to help his master when Rezen bit his lips

The pain that originated from his lips helped Rezen to recover a moment of clarity despite the dizziness and ringing sound in his head

Two mystic gems floated on his right and left sides. One resonates with the element of water and the other resonates with the element of earth as two magic circles of different elements formed

On Rezen’s right side was the ocean blue water circle and it let out a stream of real water and not just water energies

To his left was the brown magic circle that releases some sort of earthy substance

The stream of water and earth substance mixed with each other, creating a completely different element

“[Combination Magic: Mud Flood!]”

The two elements intertwined and mixed to create a new one and a line of mud appeared and hovered around Rezen

Since he is still just a 2nd fusion rank mage, his [Mud Flood] is still not a complete version of the spell

Higher-level mages can literally flood an entire area with mud while the amount that Rezen created is far from enough to do the same

However, even then, with the mud having the power of 2 different elements, Rezen’s spell barely reached the power of a 3rd-grade spell

He controlled the mud as they swept the wolves around him. He cannot completely drown all the wolves with this little amount but hitting them with it would still suffice

Rezen felt like he just turned into a water bender though in this case a mud bender as he slaughtered all the remaining wolves

With the help of the mysterious banana that gave him full comprehension of the water and earth elements, Rezen using a combination magic that only either geniuses or experienced mages can do was made possible!

After the mud swept all the wolves, none of them survived. Since these wolves are not as strong as the Stone-claw bears, the stronger Rezen has managed to kill them all by himself

The only downside was the injury in his ear mainly because he didn’t expect that a wolf would be able to use sound-type magic that is harder to defend against compared to most magic

Rezen stored all the wolves’ corpses inside his storage and he and Zero continued

His day for the entire week would always start with him fighting magic beasts to hone his fighting skills followed by the everyday farming of corpses. At night, he would then squeeze clementines with Zero

However, this day, something is different. When Rezen and Zero went down the foot of the mountain, they encountered hundreds of people

Some of these people were familiar with Rezen, especially one of them

“Oh, boss! You’re here! What are you doing here?” Pierre jogged towards Rezen while asking that question and some more of the military guys also approached him

These people were included in the operation with Claude a week ago. They were amazed by Rezen’s prowess and also his wit since he was the one that ‘created’ the plan of luring the magic beasts

“Just some training here and there” Rezen replied casually and when Pierre stood close to him, the man’s eyes went wide open

“Boss, you’re already a 2nd fusion rank mage?” Pierre asks though based on the aura of the mystic gems hovering around Rezen, the answer was obvious

Since Rezen don’t know when he would encounter enemies in the mountain, he had the habit of not storing his mystic gem back in his elixir field after every fight

As long as he is on this mountain, he always readied his mystic gems

“Yup, I breakthrough not long ago” Rezen replied in affirmation

Pierre and the others remember that Rezen can use spells above his level last time and him breaking through this fast isn’t that shocking anymore

However, if they knew that Rezen only used around two weeks to go from a normal human to a 2nd fusion rank mage, just how would they react?

“Boss is really great and talented!” Pierre bootlick and although Rezen knew that he is far from being talented, receiving gazes of admiration still greatly improved his mood and it satisfied his vanity

“Hahahaha, you really know how to make me laugh” Rezen said as he stuffed spirit plants into Pierre’s hands as if he was a politician bribing the voters

He also gave some to the others that made him feel like he was their idol and all of them were overjoyed

Although they didn’t know that it was Rezen that was supplying the special spirit plants in the military, the ones that he gave them would still fetch some mana stones if they were to sell them

There are few mages in the military that are from rich and powerful families. Most of the time, they established themselves in the military to gain money and power

As such, all these spirit plants are a big help for all of them and they got it just by using simple flatteries!

“Anyway, why are you here? And there are many of you” Rezen asks in curiosity since there are hundreds of soldiers suddenly gathering in the Ratois Mountain

“Boss, we are waiting for the Captain. We are in a training drill today and our target is the magic beasts in the mountain” Pierre replied and Rezen sighed

The mountain might be big and there are thousands of magic beasts inside but there are just too many people today

They would definitely slaughter many magic beasts or scare the others and forced them to head deeper into the mountain

That would affect Rezen’s harvest. This is not an ideal situation for him

“Oh, okay, then, good luck and don’t die” Rezen said as he decided to just return home for today

He doesn’t have the patience to exert extra effort to search for his farming targets
