Chapter 375: 368: Seeing Shen Fei Again

Chapter 375: Chapter 368: Seeing Shen Fei Again

“He’s really cunning now, with so many tricks up his sleeve,” Tang Zhijun buckled his seat belt and caressed Chengcheng’s little head a bit, “I don’t know how he knew about your return, but he insisted on tagging along. He’s quite stubborn, nothing seems to appease his willful behavior.”

Little Fatty lifted his small head, a look of pride on his face.

Tang Yuxin held onto her little brother’s chubby hand, feeling a sense of comfort. If all the pain endured in her previous life could result in such a lovely brother, then, it was all worth it.

When they drove by the new Tang Family building, Tang Yuxin noticed the remarkable changes Qing’an had undergone in recent years. Large supermarkets, public schools ranging from kindergartens to high schools had sprung up. Even a university was under planning. Real estate prices were skyrocketing, guaranteeing further price surges in the future.

And that was just the second tower. Thirteen more were yet to rise from the ground, each tower projected to reach at least thirty stories high. The Tang family had definitely leveled up from their humble beginnings.

“Your father reserved the best unit for you. You should go and have a look. The view is quite impressive, overlooking the Blue River,” Tang Zhijun spoke to Tang Yuxin.

“That sounds great,” I’ll go and check it out in a few days,” Tang Yuxin replied, visibly elated at the news.

Chengcheng, however, was pressing his face against the car window, an intriguing curiosity forming in his eyes.

Having her pick of a flat in the family’s new building was a novelty for Tang Yuxin. She liked sunlit rooms with panoramic views, though they couldn’t be too high up. She was now curious about which apartment her father had chosen for her.

These apartments, she knew, were selling like hotcakes. Even for a project in the pre-sale stage, several units had been sold. Had it not been for her father reserving a unit for her, she might not have had the chance to own one at all.

The next day, she went to see her new apartment. She was on the eighth floor of a fifteen-story building. The views were stunning, overlooking the Blue River through massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The place had excellent natural light. From here, she could see the sunrise every morning and the sunset each evening. It was an apartment offering a full view of the city. She was sure many would covet such a property.

Indeed, despite its current reasonable price, this was not a purchase she could have afforded if not for her family’s generosity.

Moving forward, she’d have plenty of pocket money, thanks to her father, Aunt Ren Li, her uncle, and even Chengcheng, who’d given her all his New Year money for safekeeping. She treasured these tokens of their care for her education.

After spending most of the summer vacation at home, she resumed her studies at Qing University. She continued to learn and accumulate knowledge like a sponge, even assisting her mentor on several major surgeries.

Starting third year, she felt no pressure as graduation was still two years away. Besides, finding employment wasn’t a concern for students at Qing University. There were plenty of vacancies seeking their expertise.

As far as Tang Yuxin was concerned, she was uncertain if she would continue researching under her mentor or find a suitable hospital to practice medicine.

What she didn’t realize was that her future had already been planned. Many were eagerly waiting for her to join their team.

At the start of each academic year, the freshmen underwent mandatory military training,

Much to her surprise, Tang Yuxin ran into Shen Fei.

“Hello, Brother Shen Fei,” Seeing Shen Fei outside her dormitory was an unexpected encounter.

“Hello, Yuxin,” Shen Fei greeted back, originally intending to address her more formally, but considering the university setting and her status as a student, he refrained.

“How’s your leg?” She looked intently at his legs.

“It’s much better now,” He moved around a bit to show his progress, “As long as I’m not doing anything too intense, it’s all fine. Our company is sponsoring your freshman military training this year.”

“I see,” Tang Yuxin remembered her freshman year’s military training conducted by Gu Family’s security company which was more in line with practical life and society’s demands.

“Well…” She wanted to ask if Gu Ning was also present but decided against it.

The freshmen were enduring their military training under the extreme summer heat.

In her spare time, Tang Yuxin found herself a shaded spot to watch the new students train. It was reminiscent of her own freshman year. However, with the brevity of life, it felt like ancient history, reminding her of the value of every living moment.

As she dusted off her clothes planning to leave, she noticed a pair of dark eyes observing her. It was Gu Ning.

She nodded in acknowledgement but that was about it. She had never thought further than that.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Following the advice of Tang Zhinian, she planned to marry a suitable, ordinary and reliable man. Then have children and live a mundane life. That was the essence of life, she believed.

Slinging her backpack over her shoulder, she exited the school gate to head home. She hadn’t been residing in the dormitory for a while, opting instead for a commute. Her dormitory bed, however, was still reserved for her midday breaks. With a light academic workload these days, she was often home early. But today was different, another familiar face crossed her path.
