Naval Gacha System: It's Time To Monopolize The Seven Seas!

Chapter 49: | 049 | Port of Dawn Upgrade

In the bridge of the UNS Trinity of Solace, Abraham watched a dot in the seemingly endless lines of the horizon. It was the destination of their armada. The lone port of the United Navy.

The Port of Dawn.

Located on the island of Crescere. The place where it all began. The Port of Dawn was the only establishment of the United Navy in this foreign world.

It must be protected at all costs, for its destruction will cause the collapse of the United Navy. The Fleet Admiral understood this simple yet complex concept.

As he gazed at the boundless horizon, Abraham noticed a blinking icon in his perception. He raised an eyebrow wondering what it was.

'Systema, what's that icon blinking in the bottom right side of my sight?' He questioned through his thoughts. His precious partner didn't disappoint as a response followed.

It was yet again with a chime of a mechanical bell echoing inside his mind.

*Ding!*

The blinking icon is an indication of a possible naval base upgrade.

Systema's answer confused Abraham as he wasn't aware that naval bases could be upgraded. Luckily, Systema seemed informed about her Fleet Admiral's ignorance.

The digital status screen of the Naval Gacha System materialized before Abraham. It has been a while since he opened his status. He never got to do so during the maritime security mission as his attention was on their unfortunate circumstances.

'Hmm… A lot has changed.' Abraham thoughtfully remarked while staring at the status screen. He obviously noticed the Port of Dawn's upgradeable icon.

He finally understood what Systema meant. With the Port of Dawn in the confines of level 0, it should be concurred that it can be upgraded.

Naturally, with the importance of the naval base weighing in his mind. Abraham found it stupid to hesitate for a possible upgrade.

Perhaps the upgrade would lead them to better defensive fortifications, industries, or an increase in population. Each single result would be priceless for the current United Navy.

With this in mind, Abraham decided to upgrade the Port of Dawn with utmost determination. Following it was the emergence of another digital screen.

Port of Dawn Level 0(1,000 Naval Points for Upgrade)

The price was honestly a lot cheaper than he expected. He thought he would have to grind for it but to think that the upgrade was already available for him.

'I guess that's the result of completing many side missions before the main mission.' Abraham thought to himself before shaking his head and focusing on the digital screen in front of him.

'Systema, upgrade the Port of Dawn.' Through his thoughts, several notification screens materialized one after another. The Port of Dawn upgrade had begun.

*Ding!*

The Fleet Admiral has purchased the naval base level 1 upgrade.

Upgrading Naval Base(Port of Dawn)…

Abraham immediately noticed it. A golden radiance shone from the growing dot in the lines of the boundless horizon. It was the same color as the summoning but brighter than ever before.

The effects of the naval base upgrade were not known. But he was confident that the Port of Dawn would be larger than its former form. He couldn't help but become excited with this thought.

A couple seconds passed and the golden radiance glowed dim with time. He calmly observed the striking scene until the light faded from the dot.

What followed was the appearance of multiple notification screens.

*Ding!*

Port of Dawn successfully upgraded.

Port Personnel increased from 1,000 to 5,000!

Moderate port infrastructure and manufacturing facilities added!

1st Battalion of the UA has been summoned!

Abraham raised an eyebrow as he read through the notification screens in front of him. The upgrade was a lot better than he expected. It increased his port personnel from 1,000 to 5,000 people.

To him, it was a large number of people.

Not only that but moderate port infrastructure and manufacturing facilities have been added. This would improve their manufacturing capabilities to another level.

And finally, there was the summoning of the 1st Battalion of the UA. Obviously, the UA acronym meant the United Army.

A military battalion was about 1,000 in personnel. It was practically an army in his grasp, which would make the exploration of the island easier.

'Damn, the United Navy is growing pretty fast.' Abraham noticed the accelerated growth of the United Navy. Its growth meant the greater his safety would become, but it also gave him more work to do.

'It seems that I really need to get a secretary to help me.' He thought and decided to close all of the digital screens except the status screen.

The reason was simple. He wanted to turn his attention to something else.

It was none other than the store.

Beforehand, he thought of the store as too expensive for him to even dare to tread in. But things were different now, with the summoning of two more ships, the store had more versatility.

The San Antonio-Class Amphibious Transport Dock was somewhat expensive, but it made a lot more sense than the Arleigh Burke-Class Destroyer.

With its three marine companies, it hosted a large number of military personnel. This also wasn't counting the military vehicles transported by it.

Because of this, the 1,600 Naval Points of the San Antonio-Class Amphibious Transport Dock was a better deal than the 2,000 Naval Points of the Arleigh Burke-Class Flight III Destroyer.

But these two weren't the things he wanted to dwell upon. Instead, his whole attention was pointed at the Admiral Gorshkov-Class Frigate.

'Cheap.' It was the only word that stuck in his mind when looking at the frigate. It was understandable, after all, for a mere 250 Naval Points, he could buy one.

For a single Arleigh Burke-Class Flight III Destroyer, he could purchase eight Admiral Gorshkov-Class Frigates.

As someone who wasn't entirely focused on missile defense and firepower, the frigate was the greatest warship that could ever appear in the store.

Naturally, he wanted to buy it. However, he understood the importance of patience. He had a lot of things to do after returning to the Port of Dawn.

Summoning more frigates would increase his already large workload.

"I need to calm down." Abraham sighed and returned his gaze to the horizon. The former dot in its lines became larger. It was the Crescere, the home of the United Navy.

He calmly watched as the armada got closer to the Port of Dawn. To think that a single warship increased into an armada of four. Destiny really was unexpected.

"Fleet Admiral, the Lieutenant Commander of the Port of Dawn wants to speak with you." One of the communication operators in the bridge reported.

Abraham nodded at her and took the radio from her hands. He held it tightly with his fingers and the voice of his Lieutenant Commander sounded out of it.

"Fleet Admiral, you must have gone through quite an interesting adventure during your time in the high seas."

"As it is, Lieutenant Commander Morgen. But, you must have enjoyed my gift." He smirked while staring at the Port of Dawn which resembled more of a tiny city than ever before.
