Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 5569: Success

The daffodil stood majestically at three meters tall, its expansive leaves stretching far and wide to dominate the heart of the lake. At its center bloomed nine large, bowl-sized flowers, each radiating an ethereal beauty.

Starry spots covered its petals and leaves, resembling countless twinkling stars scattered across the night sky. Their radiant glow reflected off the cave walls, transforming the surroundings into a breathtaking wonderland. It was incredibly beautiful.

“Now that’s a treasure!”

Long Chen’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. The Earth Cauldron had told him about a unique treasure that existed in the nine heavens called the Heavenly Star Daffodil. It was a priceless treasure coveted by nine star heirs because of its capability to produce its own astral energy.

For the past few years, Long Chen had always been looking for it. However, even the Huayun Trading Company had never even heard of its name, let alone seen it. Yet here it was, radiating vast astral energy. Long Chen immediately recognized it as the treasure the Earth Cauldron had described.

Just as Long Chen reached for it, loud sounds rang out behind him. One figure after another flew through the waterfall with weapons drawn, killing intent radiating from their bodies. Long Chen’s expression darkened.

The Heavenly Star Daffodil’s starlight started to fade rapidly, its once-radiant form withering under the oppressive aura.

“Shit!” Long Chen cursed.

These idiots were holding weapons and unleashing massive killing intent, forcing the spiritual plant into a state of slumber.

With a flash, Long Chen appeared on top of the Heavenly Star Daffodil and cast his starry sky manifestation, protecting the daffodil with its light.

When Long Chen’s astral energy erupted, the Heavenly Star Daffodil quivered slightly. It seemed to resonate with Long Chen’s astral energy and stopped withering.

The Heavenly Star Daffodil was a companion plant that every nine star heir would dream of obtaining. With it, nine star heirs could cultivate twice as fast with half the effort. As for the Heavenly Star Daffodil, it was like it existed solely for the nine star heirs. It rejected all other lifeforms, resonating only with astral energy akin to Long Chen’s.

“Kill him! Seize that treasure!”

A tall, thin man at the forefront roared. He clutched a compass, the tool he had used to locate the surrounding treasure. Unfortunately, he was ignorant of the daffodil’s true nature.

He didn’t know that other than Long Chen, no one else here could obtain it.

Without Long Chen’s astral energy, the plant would have already withered and transformed into a seed, tearing through space in search of a safer place to grow.

“Fuck off! If you dare ruin this for me, none of you will leave here alive!” Long Chen’s thunderous roar reverberated through the cave, shaking the walls and halting the attackers momentarily.

However, his roar startled the Heavenly Star Daffodil, causing it to shudder and start withering again. Seeing this, Long Chen jumped and hastily circulated his astral energy to soothe it.

The Heavenly Star Daffodil was a cowardly plant, so it would be troublesome if he let it wither. Once turned into a seed, it would activate its astral formation and break through space. As it could tear through the wall between worlds, there was nowhere in the nine heavens it couldn’t go. In other words, tracking it down would be nearly impossible.

Long Chen’s roar shook their eardrums, causing blood to trickle down their ears. However, the hundreds of intruders hesitated only briefly before resuming their assault. Their robes indicated they were from the same sect, though whether they represented the entirety of their group or just a branch was unclear.

“We have numbers! He’s just one person! Kill him!” the man with the compass bellowed, swapping his tool for a sword and unleashing a streak of Sword Qi.

“Fuck!” Long Chen muttered angrily but suppressed his killing intent.

Otherwise, it would scare the Heavenly Star Daffodil.

The Sword Qi struck Long Chen’s astral barrier with a resounding explosion, shattering upon impact but causing the barrier to tremble.

Seeing that Long Chen could shatter his Sword Qi with this barrier, this man was stunned. But he quickly noticed Long Chen’s weakness.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

“He doesn’t dare to counterattack! Quick, break the barrier!” the man yelled again, emboldened by the sight of Long Chen’s restraint.

The attackers unleashed a barrage of divine light upon the barrier. Long Chen gritted his teeth, his astral energy depleting rapidly as he maintained the protective shield. R

“You little bastards, just you wait!” he snarled, his voice a mixture of fury and frustration.

Though seething with rage, Long Chen knew he couldn’t retaliate or unleash his killing intent; doing so would only terrify the Heavenly Star Daffodil. With this many attackers launching such ferocious assaults, his astral energy was draining at an alarming rate.

At this moment, Long Chen could only use his astral energy. If he used any other power, it would scare the Heavenly Star Daffodil. Then all his efforts would be for nothing.

Hundreds of thousands of strikes hammered against his barrier, causing it to flicker and dim. The once-radiant astral shield now appeared fragile, as if on the verge of collapse.

Spotting this weakness, the attackers redoubled their efforts. To them, it was only a matter of time before the barrier shattered. Once it did, they could kill Long Chen.

Long Chen’s hands trembled. Even as his astral energy was nearly drained, he pushed his Spiritual Strength to its limits, desperately trying to commune with the Heavenly Star Daffodil. Gaining its trust was the only way to move it into the primal chaos space.

Suddenly, a sharp pain wracked his body, and Long Chen spat out a mouthful of blood. His astral energy was on the brink of exhaustion. Left with no other choice, he tapped into his violet blood power to sustain the barrier.

Burning his violet blood was a dangerous gamble. If the Heavenly Star Daffodil sensed even the slightest anomaly, it would flee. However, Long Chen had no other choice.

Fortunately, the plant didn’t seem to react negatively to the violet blood. A wave of relief washed over Long Chen as he fully ignited its power, bolstering the failing barrier. However, time was running out, and the relentless assault showed no signs of letting up.

Still, the attackers were relentless. Hundreds of thousands of experts, including dozens of sealed experts with immense power, hammered the barrier.

Fortunately, fewer than twenty of them had condensed a heaven vein, so Long Chen could still persevere. If they had fifty, he wouldn’t have been able to hold on this long.

Seeing Long Chen ignite his essence blood, these people started to realize that Long Chen’s power was beyond their expectations. However, there was no stopping now, so they went all out.

Just as Long Chen’s violet blood power reached its limit, the Heavenly Star Daffodil lit up. It floated gracefully out of the pool, its radiant energy signaling its readiness.

At this sight, Long Chen was overjoyed. His astral energy flowed around it, sending it into the primal chaos space.

The moment the Heavenly Star Daffodil vanished, Long Chen’s suppressed killing intent erupted like a volcano. Evilmoon appeared in his hand, its dark blade thirsting for blood.

“All of you can die now!” Long Chen roared.

He swung Evilmoon, unleashing a black crescent moon that sliced through the air.
