Chapter 196: Chaos Everywhere
Chapter 196: Chaos Everywhere
"They weren't," she shook her head, "they had to improvise this quest and make you accept it to return the game to its previous designated course."
"Really?" he asked in doubt.
"You can check your quest again if you wish, you'll notice what I meant," she said before adding.
He recalled the quest details and finally noticed the issue she mentioned. "They created this quest out of blue for me?" he muttered and suddenly he felt really rejoiced by this discovery. "Damn, it feels good to win for even once over them."
"Hahaha, you are such an interesting human," she laughed.
"If so, why not decline it? accepting it would mean I did this all for nothing."
"I didn't say you should accept it either, right?" she amusingly said.
"Your meaning"
"If you hurry to decline it, they will seek other options to force you to make this. Or worse will issue this to other players."
He got her point. "Leaving them hanged like this is the best response."
"Indeed," she said, "you must have an evil mind to survive in this world," she advised.
"Good point," he said before adding, "what now?"
"You need to go back, store that box in a safe warehouse, then start to experience how chaos looks like."
He glanced at her for a moment. "Why do I always get the feeling you are conflicted about doing these?"
She sighed and only shook her head. "I'll always keep an eye on you from now on."
"Wait," he stopped her before vanishing, "you didn't say your name."
"If you managed to open the box, you'll be eligible to know my name. till then I'll be the queen of darkness for you."
She then vanished in thin air, leaving him all alone.
"Sigh, things got slightly out of my control," he glanced around before recalling things, "before returning I need to collect my loot, hehehe."
He went ahead and started to thoroughly search through the wrecked wagons for anything of use. Even broken wood pieces from the fall were taken by him into his inventory.
"Time to open these boxes," he went back on the road while collecting anything of value. There were three boxes thrown at the road.
"Panty was so ruthless," he muttered while waiting for the first box to open. "But he still died at least, hehehe."
He pictured Panty in his own mansion in real life shouting around in rage, breaking up things, and feeling despair. This vision made his face shine with a smile before recalling his main enemy.
"In time just you wait for me."
"Tick."
The box opened and inside he found massive gold coins, potions, and two scrolls. "Better than nothing," he didn't find these enticing except for the two scrolls.
He examined them to find that they were wide AOE scrolls. "Will help me later," he threw everything inside his inventory before heading towards the next box and opened it.
The three boxes contained the same, even the scrolls were the same. He got his hands over six scrolls here before opening his chat with Muna and asked:
'How are things at your end?'
'Chaotic,' she answered exactly as he expected.
'Panty's men are still in chaos?'
'No, it's not about Panty,' she said before sending again, 'you need to come over and see yourself.'
Bloom felt a bad omen from her words, yet he closed the chat and started to run back.
Going back on foot for such a long distance was hard, took more time than he initially expected, and in the end he had to use one stamina potion to keep him running.
When he finally reached the place of the initial battle, he found six caravans waiting for him with six boxes. The caravans were secured by a small group of his agents and dolls, and he just collected his trophies before finally recalling them back.
"All the boxes are the same," he kinda felt sad about this. He hoped to find anything more useful to him, something like AOE or immune skill book or something that would boost his strength.
"As I'm all alone, I think it's better to finish this first," he took out his Pandora box from his inventory and started cracking down many gears he salvaged from the killed NPCs from this fight.
Each gear gave him a large amount of gold coins, plus many materials of high levels. He stored them all, and now his inventory was getting almost full.
"I need to hire a warehouse in the village," he muttered before adding, "now I can deal with that mysterious sister of the Cyan studio and convince her to join me."
He then checked the system alerts before muttering, "it's good all of these happened to my Sunny ID. I can think of creating a new ID later. But"
He was surprised not to receive any system alert regarding fulfilling any of his quests. He needed more dark rewards for this. "Sigh, I first will return to the village and store things there."
He then opened his tattoo and used gold coins to accelerate the shifting ability as he returned to Bloom again. "Sigh, ruining this quest it took longer than I expected."
He took out a ticket and decided to buy more when he returned to the village.
'Finally you returned online,' the moment he appeared in the village he received this message from Nara while he noticed the chaotic nature of everyone here.
All players were running fast with excited looks over their faces. He also noticed some looked afraid, and some NPCs appeared also from far running towards the gate of the village.
'What happened?' he asked.
'I'll call you,' she then sent him a call request. When he received it, he found her standing among her players while seemingly hiding behind a large rock.
"What are you doing?" he asked with amusement.
"Don't ever laugh, this is bad for all of us," she sternly replied.
"What do you mean? Are you under attack?" he hurriedly asked while thinking of Panty, "are they Panty's players?"
"Sigh," she helplessly sighed before adding, "it's better if you can see it by yourself."
She then stood up and he heard a warning shout from Jeffrey, yet she ignored him. As she turned around herself for one round, Bloom managed to take a glimpse of what was happening there.
Everywhere there were many skeletons moving aimlessly like they were looking for food to eat and targets to kill. The scene looked horrible, and even Bloom had his face dignified.
"Where are you now? Send me your coordinates and I'll come."
"Don't," she shook her head, "we are in a hopeless situation here. It might be better to just die and lose a level and return safely to the village."
"What happened? How did they all appear?"
He knew the perfect answer for that, as he was the one who caused the seals to be weakened. Yet he didn't imagine things would develop this bad this fast.
"Something bizarre happened," she vaguely said, "all the forums are in uproar right now. Everywhere strange portals opened and many dungeons appeared out of nowhere. Also some portals ejected out skeletons, fiends, monsters, creatures with wings, and even dark creatures with bodies formed of fog. You can check the forums for more info."
"Come now," he seriously said, "we need to regroup and see what we can do. Can you use your ticket?"
"Smart lion, we are in battle mode and can't use any of that or else why would I be hiding like that?"
