Number One Dungeon Supplier

Chapter 2113 The Promise to Fight

The Commando Mages expected a bad outcome scenario considering that a Celestial of such high ranking suddenly attacked them. However, it looked like Lord Vishnu's attack was an isolated attack.

There was nothing else other than the usual Demon Horde that came in, something that the Rifle Mages were more than capable of fighting against despite the initial casualties at the frontlines where most of the patrols were recruit Rifle Mages.

Yet at the same time, because of the intensified training that Jin and the other appointed military officers had revised over the past year to consistently make sure that they were well trained against the demons, the recruit mages were able to hold their ground. Your adventure continues at empire

The only thing that they could not expect was the major influx of demons that swarmed in when the isolation barrier broke altogether. Some were worried that their king was killed out of the blue through some assassination or something especially when his isolation barrier was synonymous to his reign of Ress.

As much as they had become isolated, they became technologically advanced, and their quality of life had changed. All of them had understood how much they had depended on their King and the loss of the barrier immediately gave them the impression that the threat against a bigger force was real.

Regardless, the Rifle Mages were able to suppress the Demon Horde and consolidate their attack patterns based on the plans that had been drilled into them for the longest time ever. Their consistent training had paid off but it was tragic that they had to put those plans into action when it had always been a 'what if'.

Jin had also recovered earlier than expected as the moment he finally relaxed, his entire body wrung in pain due to the internal workings of his regeneration powers. He finally grew his left hand up and most of the damage that he had incurred was cured.

At the same time, his power circuits were all fixed and he finally was able to put out a more permanent isolation barrier compared to what Grand Sage Mex had cast.

The latter while comparable in terms of power, there was a limit to its cast duration. After half an hour, that blast of light came out from the centre of the city once more to reinforce it. That was why the Grand Sage was still in awe at how Jin was able to create such an isolation barrier to defend the entirety of Ress for such a long duration without breaking his magic circuits.

Jin also thought that it was weird that he was able to maintain it for the longest time possible and he could not give an explanation except for the fact that he had the concept of creating and manipulating dimensional space far better than anyone in this world. After all, he was a dungeon supplier with the knowledge of the original suppliers in his hands.

When the Demon Hordes were finally suppressed, Jin finally came out through the magic eye broadcast and explained the situation to them, why the isolation barrier was destroyed, and the emergence of the Celestials' interference.

The King of Ress did not hesitate to call out the Celestial God of Preservation from his card and Lord Vishnu looked pissed that he was now under the command of a puny human.

However, such was the reality and as he showed himself to the rest of Ress, their eyes turned with much hatred because the person this Celestial had killed was not just a Commando Mage, he was a figure that presented the revolutionary change that Ress had undertaken when they were at the start of Jin's command, but he was also a well known figure among the people like a famous knight who protected Ress from external threats.

After all, Jin had landed in an era where medieval customs were valid and despite the transformation of the military, many had taken a liking to the Commando Mages similar to how the knights of the Round Table were important to King Arthur.

So with the presence of the Celestial, being in the hands of a human, everyone cheered for Jin and booed against the so called god that had killed one of their lovely knight of Ress. "So much for being a god, eh?" Jin said with a tinge of bitterness in his tone. He had forgotten the pain of a loss comrade had felt especially when his initial System was able to save them from such instances.

But this was the truth.

Jin was not able to do anything to the dead unless the Star Foxes utilised their forbidden magic to resurrect No.4. Of course, such a thing would be considered sacrilege against the people's love for him and he was not so desperate to touch the dead.

He knew that this was a loss that he needed to accept and move on. "I never called myself a god. The Celestials are only doing all of this to ensure balance.

Just as how you guys attempted to play the role of Celestials to kill Demons, and the Demons were tasked to kill you guys to balance the world, we are merely doing the same." Lord Vishnu said as if he was talking about the concept of preservation, justifying the acts of killing.

"Fuck you. So it is okay for us to fight against the demons and get killed by them, but it is not okay for us to fight against you guys? You all are not on the human side at all. In fact, you cannot wait for the other Celestials to come in and annihilate all of us."

"Heh, I would not deny that but now that you have killed me and I am at your beckon, it will not be long that they will come to slaughter this anomaly. I will be released of this damn cage and make sure that anytime you reincarnate, I will be there to torture you."

"That is so unlike you compared to the myths that are related to you." Jin said as his hatred for the Celestials continued to grow. "We shall prevail against you guys no matter what. Mark my words, your plane of existence will be my dungeon and I will take control of the Celestials just as how you are trapped in this card."
