Chapter 2160 Ceasefire...?
"Yes, my lord. Thank you for your praise," Both the veteran Celestials lowered their heads for Lord Vishnu and they subsequently looked towards Jin.
"It seems that we had mistaken you and your intentions to the highest degree," Kalki said and Jin shook his head.
"You cannot blame yourselves too much. Even Lord Vishnu here had some difficulty accepting mainly due to the fact that we partnered with Demons, your sworn enemies in the fight as well.
It would not be easy to overlook our battle partners when they are the ones causing you the pain and loss you encountered throughout your life." Jin said as he nodded his head in agreement and requested the two Celestials to stand up.
"It's okay. Now that we have the full picture and your proposal. We shall end the battle right here right now." Kalki said and with a quick glance towards the Celestial Avenger, Parashurama sighed, understanding what must be done.
-----
Matsya who was planning another attack was suddenly given the order to stop Kalki. While she might not be the first avatar of the Dashavatara, her domain in the battle could occasionally supersede the usual chain of command. But as much as the rest of the Celestials had no idea what was happening, they followed her orders.
Even Parashurama walked out of the Royal Castle and shouted with celestial energy imbued into it to tell the Celestial Armies to stop fighting.
Coincidentally, the Rifle Mages were given the same orders from the System and there was a temporary ceasefire given to both sides, allowing everyone to reorganise themselves for a possible second battle. The only person who was not satisfied with this was Krishna.
He was the one who suffered the most, losing his best friend Rama and Kurma while having to deal with the defeat of his brother, Balarama as well.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Why are we stopping? Are we not going to avenge my dear friend and brother?" Krishna shouted and Matsya tried to reason with him.
"Kalki demanded us to enforce a ceasefire. With her position, she had every right to control the issues in the battlefield and the enemies are doing the same as well. That means they are respecting the ceasefire that had been negotiated." Matsya commented but in the next sentence revealed his true intentions. "We also need the breather for our exhausted armies."
"This is indeed a good time to retreat and reorganise our teams and armies. There are too many injured Celestials that needed medical attention." Siddhartha Buddha showed his reasoning as well.
"You guys. When did all of you decide to play by the rules? The enemies are not like us. They are of flesh and blood! They can die! Can't you see that if we push for a sneak attack, we will have an upper hand?!" Krishna replied furiously disregarding how the exhausted armies passing by them were hearing this squabble.
"Like I said, as this is Kalki's-"
"NO! They killed my brother and friends. I am not going to end this with just some pathetic ceasefire! ALSO! Do you believe our Kalki is so soft to propose something like this?! It must be a fake and so is that Parashurama!
They had been brainwashed by the enemies!" Krishna said as his eyes started to flash red with bloodlust and pulled his flute towards his lips.
Matsya had no idea that Krishna was filled with fury within his heart that he was going to defy orders. There were instances that the Celestial Trickster had done such a thing before but this was entirely different. The enemies do have an upper hand in this fight and it was pretty obvious that the longer the battle dragged out, the ones who would lose would be Celestials.
It did not take a genius to understand this and that was why the remaining Dashavatara had decided to see what approach their Goddess of War had proposed. There was some truth to what Krishna had said as well, Kalki would never asked for a ceasefire and would rather fight to the death than surrender.
The First Avatar of Dashavatara believed that there must be something that the King of Ress had in possession that would make the Goddess of War do such an unconventional action.
But before he could even discover Kalki's intention, Krishna's ultimate ability had already been unleashed, mind controlling every single Celestial in the area despite the orders to put their arms down. But what was more insulting was that wide area mind control should not have been limited to the Celestial Armies. The human mages should also be affected as well.
The problem is that no matter how much Celestial Energy he poured into this mind control technique, none of the Rifle Mages answered its call. It actually made the Rifle Mages to take defensive actions the moment they were affected by the Mind Control Attack.
"Krishna!!!! What the fuck are you doing?! Don't you fucking understand what is a ceasefire?!" Parashurama could feel the mind control magic being pulsated throughout the battlefield and yet Krishna did not care.
"What the hell are you-" Matsya decided to intervene and so did Siddharta Buddha but the moment they tried to go near Krishna, the Generals of the various Celestial armies stopped them in their tracks, interrupting their intentions to stop Krishna. Thus, this prompted Parashurama to jump into the air, and even decided to cut down those mind controlled Celestial Soldiers who tried to block the way.
"See! Who is the person who is being mind controlled right here and now!?" Krishna's attitude towards the current situation had been reinforced when he saw Parashurama attempting to come close to him without any care for the soldiers.
"We had a ceasefire and we will respect the ceasefire!" Parashurama said but Krishna's flute magic was not just mere mind control. Inside the tone of those flute playing included enhancements that could allow a rank and file Celestial soldier to be on par with Parashurama's strength.
However, things were more drastic than they should have been. Matsya and Siddharta Buddha realised that Krishna's Celestial Energy was starting to show signs of Celestial Corruption, a uncommon phenomenon but a possible event for those who had used their Celestial Energies with another form.
And unfortunately, the battlefield had been littered with so many magic bullets that picking up a loaded rifle was an easy task for the Celestial Trickster. By taking the magic from those bullets coated with anti celestial compound, Krishna attempted to fuse these bullets with his own energy.
"I will cleanse this battlefield by myself if I have to." The Celestial Trickster remarked with an crooked smirk.
