One Piece: Gambling to The Top

Taking a bite from his apple, Josh chewed as he looked at Kid, who was clenching his teeth strongly. Furrowing his eyebrows, Kid seemed to be so angry because Josh was mocking him.  At first, Kid thought it would be a good battle to end up a dying legend, which contributes to his legend, however, Josh is daring to take an apple in the middle of the battle. 

Although the Gambler had shown enough strength, he had hurt the pride of Kid. Not to mention that the fucker killed one of his commanders. 

"You are so dead!" hissed Kid, his tone harsh and angry, strong momentum building out of his body. 

The commanders of Kid turned and looked at their captain, shocked somehow.  A masked man having two curved blades in his hand. He is Killer. The other one, the three meters tall one, was Wire. 

Josh felt quite familiar with this invisible aura that was being unleashed from Kid.. 

'I dated one of the scares women in One Piece Franchise.  And Robin, a very professional assassin, and I banged Hancock and took her little sister pounding. I beat Crocodile and stood up to Akainu when I was way weak… You think some Conqueror Haki will scare me?' 

Josh took a bit of the apple and stared at Kid with a lifeless expression. When the apple was over, Josh stood up and thought about the scary girlfriends he dated. Josh smirked. Hancock, occasionally, would unleash her Haki when arguing with her sister, or other amazons who tries to flirt with him. Josh had gotten used to that, and he wouldn't faint. Though, Conqueror Haki can be annoying sometimes as it tickles the soul and can weaken an opponent. 

"You are so dead!" yelled Kid. 

"Try this then." 

Josh's blue eyes turned red. The Wrath attribute took over his demonic energy, and it was unleashed from his body in a form of an invisible aura that built momentum. 

*Boom* *Boom* 

In Josh's ears, he could hear the three people's hearts beating loudly. Some strong wrath from a demon does plant fear in them. When they looked at him, Josh stood off the barrel and stared at the three.  Kid, though, didn't seem to be very affected, as his Haki was pushing the wrath. 

"What are you-!" 

"Time to end this." 

Josh appeared in front of the masked man and that tall man instantly. When they realised he was between them, they turned their heads to him. Their wide-opened eyes could easily tell it was too late, as Josh, simpled extended his hands in two different directions, aiming with each hand at one man, gathering light beam. 

The attribute of Josh's energy changed to Pride, and they turned from their fear, which had been caused by Wrath, into hesitation to approach Josh. 

Before they could make their decision, Josh unleashed two light balls from each hand. They turned into beams and sent the guys flying to the sea, holes in their stomachs. 

Seeing what had happened, Kid seemed to be angrier. Dark sparks of lightning appeared around him. The ship started cracking. His Conqueror Haki, this time, got stronger. 

"It's supposed to slow me or something." Josh lifted his head and walked on the deck, staring at the floating Kid, whose gaze was killing Josh. 

Kid, without realising, was using Conqueror Haki. Such Haki type can be effective even against the other two Haki masters. 

For example, it's like when Luffy used in on Hancock's sister in the show. Both of them, despite not fainting, could barely breathe. Probably that would be a reason why they lost or had to dodge the spikes down, despite having enough level to protect themselves. 

In Josh's case, this wasn't enough to crush his will. He has dated crazy hot killer chicks, and he won't faint. 

The metallic objects circled from every direction in the ship, gathering in front of Kid, and forming a very large fist. It was twenty meters long and very thick. Soon, the electromagnetic field compressed it, making it very solid and hard even for a swordmaster to cut it. 

"Hey, are you trying to destroy my fruits?" 

Josh reached his back, pulling a black sword, an obsidian one. Ever since the sword had been made, it has yet to taste the blood. Covering it with Armament Haki, a dark aura started dancing around it. 

Kid screamed and lifted the metallic arm, sending it toward Josh, who simple couched loudly. 

When the fist was about to reach him, Josh vanished from his spot, appearing behind Kid. Josh put the sword back on his back and started descending. 

*Slash* *Slash* 

Many cuts appeared in the metallic arm, and on Kid's body. The metals were cut and turned into many little shreds.  Kid, on the other hand, had many cuts appear. All of his blood left his body through the cuts, before falling down to the sea, dead on the stop. 

Josh, although he would usually felt bad for being the first one to offence and kill, could swallow the negative feeling. 

Kid had tried to kill him, and he was a mass killer. And it's not Josh's first time. He will just get the Devil Fruit and move on with his life since he has people to protect and a life to build. 

Walking back to the barrel, Josh looked at the fruits barrel. He lifted it and emptied it on the ground. This method of having a fruit next to the Devil Fruit user was taught by Josh by the system, after getting a good rank item. 

Josh had thought about this method when he was watching One Piece, in the Dressrosa arc. However, he had thought that it wasn't real, since it wouldn't make sense that the World Government doesn't know about it. But it seems that they don't really know about it. 

'Had I known this method earlier, I think Gem and most of Baroque Works members wouldn't be alive. Good for them I didn't watch Wano arc.' 

Josh sighed. It was good that he didn't know it, otherwise, he may have done something bad to his friends today. Though, Josh wondered where they are now since he hadn't seen Gem and Melissa ever since the World Government.  

Looking between the fruits, Josh saw one that had its texture morphing. He lifted it from the ground and examined it. Frowning, Josh recalled the taste of Devil Fruit and he almost threw up. But still, seeing it, he smiled and threw it in the air a few times. It's his first Devil Fruit he earned. 

"Alright." Josh looked around to the people in the sea, who should have survived. Josh was planning to announce his comeback to the world, since he is planning to pretend to join Hancock's crew, for Warlord's protection. These little survivors can announce it. 

Though, it would be hard for them to survive on the Grand Line, knowing with all the sea beasts down. The good news for them is that they are nowhere near the calm belt. Who knows, some other pirates may pass by them and pick them up. 

'They may get lucky… Like I did.' 

Josh shrugged his shoulders, and then, he flew back to Hancock's ship. Thinking of someone to use this new Devil Fruit, Josh thought about recruiting some amazonian. Who knows. He may need some cook.
